This was so much fun. I'd be a lot more ruthless in my packing and ultimately have nothing to wear. So, this has definitely helped me put things into perspective 🤣 I also do a lot of jumpy movements when I’m stressed out. Excited for your move!
I wish I could be ruthless with clothes! I started a 1 in 2 out rule in an effort to downsize, but I love so much of what I own AND what I buy. It has helped me to not buy clothes that I feel just okay about
Good luck Cassie! I emigrated from the U.K. to Singapore last year and it was a nightmare! I did actually ship some of my (less fave) bags and luckily all arrived safe. However, because we flew during covid we had to fly via Thailand for 3 weeks because of quarantine rules etc. I had so many bags in my carry on that the Thai authorities thought I was smuggling bags in to sell 🙄 even after I convinced them it was fine, they still confiscated the Chanel mini I had bought at Heathrow airport and made me pay a bond, because they have a crazy rule that you can’t bring goods into the country worth over a certain amount. Cue leaving Bangkok, I did indeed get the bag back after paying my bond. But omfg it was stressful. NY will be totally fine I’m sure but I did want to share my story for others who may be travelling with a lot of designer goods in hand luggage. If they screen you, you may get asked awkward questions 😂
The *yutulux* canvas tote bag actually reminds me of Hermes Garden Party, too. Thanks for making this video on suggesting more budget friendly alternatives. Love it!
I live in NYC. Everyone wears a lot of black and neutrals, especially in Fall & Winter. And lots of Louis Vuitton. I would take the Neverfull. And you’ll want a crossbody bag that zips closed for the subway.
How bad is the subway crime? Does most of the subway crime happen in the bad parts of New York. Almost every week for the ladt 18 months I see a violent crime on the news regarding the New York subways. I live in California but watch the New York news here on RUclips.
@@patr70 Unfortunately crime is all over the City now, even in Midtown. Since the riots & looting in March 2020 crime in NYC has skyrocketed. Another reason I recommend not calling attention to oneself with brightly colored luxury bags on the street or the subway right now. Going door to door in an Uber it’s okay. For several years leading up to March 2020 NYC was the safest it’s ever been.
You have so many nice things it’s hard to dwindle them down but at least your parents can bring or ship the ones you didn’t take later. I can not wait to see your NY videos!!!!
From my experience moving in- moving out. For the first trip it's better to pack according to quantity per purpose limits. For example: 3 bags for evening, 3 bags for casual wear, 3 work-agenda bags, 1 beach bag, 1 shopper, 1 travelling bag. Otherwise you'll pack too many nano bags and only one big.

What you wish you had taken?” Etc. Also! How maybe you’re most used bags and shoes are different in the two cities because they’re such diff vibes! Omg I’m so excited for al the New York content
I am a huuuuuuge bag addict, currently have around 60… I know, I need help 😜 But I love them all so much and if I had to choose only a part to take with me abroad, I’d go crazy, cause they’re a very careful selection. I know it doesn’t sound like it is, but I swear it’s true! 😂
All the tiny bags need to go to NY. Everything else needs to be sorted by season - take the current and upcoming season with (Summer and Fall), and switch them out for the next two seasons when you return home for a visit. ❤
You are so very lucky, when I was moving cross country my mom wouldn't let me keep anything at her house so I got rid of EVERYTHING. I gave my bags to her friends, my shoes and clothes went to the local homeless shelter. Out of all I gave away, I wish I kept my bags. I am so excited for your move.
This will sound weird but try using a pillow case. In the states you’re allowed a “pillow” as part of your carry on, so anything you can stuff in a pillow case if that’s allowed on your end. I’ve seen so many people do it for clothing.
Love this concept!!! Such a fan video to watch. Does anyone know if you've to bring the receipts of the bags with you when you travel or can you just travel without the receipts to the States?

As for the bags that you're both taking along and also leaving behind, I think it's a good selection except that I would have left the Prada canvas tote behind. Maybe it's because I had that bag years ago in dark green and sold it. And as for a bag that you're leaving behind, I would take the LV monogram (multi-pochette?). Remember that you will be buying more bags when you get here to The States, so maybe you should reduce your list by about 2-3 bags that you're taking. Greetings from Los Angeles
I think you should definitely take the neverfull (NYC and NJ do not give out plastic bags with purchases, New law passed) and the Chanel WOC over the blue jean chanel flap will come in handy in NYC because you'll likely be doing a lot of walking and that's what I use when I go into NYC. It's lightweight and carries the essentials.Definitely bring the animal print Aminas...

Loved this video cuz I would pack the same way … each item has a moment and an exact vibe and memory! Some just can’t be left behind! Those giant Chanel shades are everything🙌 - also love seeing ur collection again … so excited for u Cassie 💖
Everything has a story! 😂💖

Can’t wait to see if your style will change once you move to NY🤔… Karenbritchic did love this video 😍👌🏾👏🏾🔥‼️
Karen is the best!!
💖💖
I don't know how you did this Cassie. It must have been so hard to choose. I would have a terrible time. It was really fun to watch you do this. Hope all is going along smoothly for your move. Much love to you lovely Cassie, Nii and your wonderful parents. Jenni from Australia XXXX
Thanks Jenni xxxx
Bring as many sunnies as you can, we wear them everywhere, year round! On the bus, the subway and occasionally indoors picking up a quick coffee! So excited fou you and your NYC adventure, it's the greatest place in the world!
Aahhh I’ll definitely do that! 🤩🤩
All the bags that didn’t make the cut I guessed right. I knew the accessories would be the hard part!
You got this 🖤
You know me too well 😉💖
Hi Cassie. Fun to see what makes it on the New York trip, and what stays with the parents! Am sure moving is stressful, however am also sure it's exciting as well going to a completely different place and seeing what life has in store for you. Am sure it will be fabulous and a great experience. I wish your subscribers quadruple, same as your views. However, don't forget to read some our messages when you start getting thousands of comments😜
You’re so wonderful! Thank you so much for your kind wishes and I’ll always try my best 🥹💖💖💖
@@CassieThorpe Sure dear. Have a splendid day
Take a mix of trendy and classic. Use the trendy as they are items meant to be worn now. The classic items can be brought in bit by bit. Bring a couple now but mostly bring the trendy items:).
💖💖
Blast from the past Anna Dello Russo. Omg I bought the bracelet and choker. Choker definitely nearly killed me on more than one occasion 😂
Omggggg amazing that you have some pieces from that collection! 💖💖
@@CassieThorpe relics 🤣🤣🤣
Such a fun video Cassie!! I love how many sentimental items you have and how you remember where/when you purchased most of them. Super sweet and interesting!! Looking forward to the next video as always 😊
Thank you! I always like to remember those little stories 😍💖
This was fun to watch, and I thought I had it rough moving my collection only 1 state over 😅😅 honestly surprised to see the oil slick robot didn’t make the cut. 🤨😆 I’m wishing you all the best luck with the big move!!
That robot will never leave my parents’ house 😂😂
@@CassieThorpe you can tell your mum she can wear it whenever she likes ;)
Too much fun watching you go through your closet! Your unpacking and organizing vlog is going to be amazing!😍
I’m glad it was fun to watch! 💖
cassie i need your advice🥺! white LV bubblegram over the moon or dior D joy white leather?? thank you!!
D JOY!!! 💖
I just moved from one house to another and the master closet is smaller than the previous place and just downsizing was hard enough! Good luck!

I support all these decisions!! Was a bit surprised that you weren’t 100p about the Fendi first but I get that it would be tricky to style in NYC summer (I feel like it would not be fun to hold if you felt really hot). Also every time I see your Benedetta Bruzziches bag I fall in love a little bit more😍😍😍 I really want one!
Exactly it’s a bag that you don’t want to carry in the heat! And omg the BB is just so deliciously sparkly! 🤩🤩
So fun packing with you Cassie! The best part was packing the tiny bags. You look so cute today! ♥
They were looking extra adorable 😍
Hello Cassie. Oh I know it's hard choosing what item goes with u to NY & what stays back in London. Can be tedious. I can't help u there. I had my share. I trust your judgment to selectively pick great pieces. Blessings.
