I resided in Calgary SE for ten years when i was working as a Consultant ( Petroleum Geologist ) for different clients ( Oil & Gas Companies). It was extremely treacherous and hard to drive to the Oilfields 500-600 Kms north of Calgary. Temperatures can easily fall to Minus 48 Centigrades and stay the same way for many days, sometimes for 13-14 consecutive days. In my opinion, Calgary is the best town in Canada with moderate population (one million) and vast, open spaces. Rocky mountains are just in the backyards of Calgary. Best time in the year to visit Calgary and Rocky mountains is in July-August. 😍

America dont observe boxing day. Black Friday is a big sale in US right after thanksgiving day

See all the items you have purchased on 'boxing day sale' , and go back after a few days, same items, same sale prices.
I've followed this sales scam for a number of years...I was that fool who stood in those long lines... after getting Uber to the malls...as parking spots are impossible to find in the frigid weather.

Have been to Canada three times, and every time struck in a snow storm. Only short-lasting spring and summer are fun there.
This is Chestermere Lake Alberta which is outside east of Calgary. This Lake was developed in 1907 for irrigation purpose and from there on a cabin community start developing around it because of it's beautiful lake. My brother also lives there. Chestermere Lake would have been nice to visit during summer time.

One of Calgary oldest and beautiful mall. The meaning of Chinook is warm wind which comes from west thru Rocky mountain when pressure built up.

CrossIron Mills Mall
It is a beautiful mall with hugh landscape.
It is North of Calgary outside of City limit and falls under Rockyview. It's huge landscape lets you lost into the mall. Looks like this year line did not extend onto 2 Highways( Ring road and QE2).

Hamza bhai, there are a lot of halal options in Calgary for food. Barcelos, Osmows, Iyyc burg, jeruselem shawarma, etc. And for PS5 you can check game stop store, located in many malls.
