Join me at this antique tractor trailer truck show! I’ll show you some of my favorite cool trucks, their awesome typography, and some vintage trucking books, manuals, and ephemera. Mainly, I’ll be drawing in my sketchbook and getting inspitation from these large vehicles. And I’ll be sharing my entire creative process, all the thoughts behing each drawing/painting and sketchbook page.
Draw with me as I create mixed media artwork in my sketchbook using watercolor, gouache, pen & ink, brush pen, fountain/dip pen, stickers, and collage.
I’ll be chatting about what it's like to draw plein air, my process behind collaging, my thoughts on victorian photo colorizing, why I love drawing with ink and a brush, why I love drawing mechanical objects, experimenting, having fun with art, knowing when an artwork is finished or overworked, and I’ll discuss some of my favorite typography from the truck show.
I also hope to give a bit of a creative pep talk, and make the point that it's ok to experiment and make "bad" art in your sketchbook! It'll be a fun, relaxing, uplifting artist studio vlog.
