Excellent film. Beautifully-presented, with absolutely superb narration (explaining concepts, facts and dispelling myths with clarity), quality UNHCR filmclips and helpful use of on-screen text. An incredibly worthwhile teaching resource.
You failed to point out the boats are not traveling from the Middle East to Australia. These economic migrants take commercial airline flights to Indonesia, stay in a hotel until the boat trip is ready and pay thousands of dollars to people smugglers for the final leg of the journey. They destroy their passports, the very same passports they would have needed to board the international flights to Indonesia, as their passports would have shown all the safe countries they passed through on the way.
