- Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it's the matchup between Steelers outside linebacker Nick Herbig and Indianapolis Colts left tackle Bernhard Raimann.
Herbig is going to start in place of injured right outside linebacker Alex Highsmith, and there doesn't appear to be a big drop-off in their respective pass-rush abilities.
But the bigger Highsmith is better suited to deal with the ground game, and this Colts offensive line tore the Steelers up in a victory in Lucas Oil Stadium last December.

Don't forget that the Steelers middle linebackers were decimated by injuries. They brought guys off their couches to play. The Steelers will easily win this game.
You’re forgetting our LBs. big difference this year.
Queen will definitely be a big improvement, but if they're getting to the linebackers regularly, that's a win for the Colts. -- AS
Yes, this is going to be a BIG test for Nick. Will see if he can handle a full game, I'm interested to see if he fades in the fourth quarter. By the way, I love these videos u do!!!
I am confident in Herbig and Leal rotating to help with the run game.
If the offense is going to run away from Watt to focus on Herbig. Our defense has the advantage of knowing they are going to run only to the left or middle and avoid the right. The defense is already elite without knowing where your going to run
Nicky “The Hawaiian Punch” Herbig will prove a lot of haters wrong this game. We’ve got a healthy Cam playing some great ball, and arguably the best ILB core out of 32 teams…. And of course THE TJ Watt. I’ll take the Steelers all day. 27-13 Steelers.
We're talking about herbig right now. He has to prove it sunday.
The upcoming game will be a good test for Nick Herbig, but what about Demarvin Leal? Does Leal only work the back-up on the left side as a sometime outside linebacker? Lets see some of Leals' alledged D-line/outside linebacker versatility on the other side!
1st start -milestone for sure
Maybe it's just because we are playing the Colts but Herbig reminds me of Robert Mathis. He also was only about 240 pounds. Went on to have a nice career with 120 sacks
I think ILB shades over towards Herbig
Good upload, but you scared me intially Alan re Colts OL vs Steelers DL.
I would like to see Demarvin Leal on the edge on running downs. I think Herbig could be pushed around .
Chargers run game was literally averaging way more than the Colts and we stopped them, this is just clickbait
Steelers are going to do a 50/50 split with Leal and Herbig
This year right here anything over 20 is high scoring for the NFL
Mr. Herbig will gettrrr done HERE WE GO 4 & 0
I think Herbig is gonna have a huge game
Leal #98
Don’t worry

I literally predicted a two-score Steelers win. -- AS
