Unserdeutsch Few people still speak this language and this makes it even more interesting. Have you ever heard of it? Music: None Photo: Creative Commons/Christopher Kikuchi
Well these are some few German Creole Words you'll still hear in Papua New Guinea especially in the Northern Region(Momase) and the Niugini Islands Region. It's very rare to see someone speaking in German-Tokpisin Nowadays. Here are some of the words. ● Maski from German "Macht nicht" for (Nevermind). ● Yar from German "Jhar" for (Year). ● Tabak is still the same for (Tobacco). ● Blut is still the same for (Blood). ● Boamasin from German "Bohrmachine" for (Drill). ● Straf from German "Strafe" for (Punishment). ● Beten is still the same for (Pray). ● Gip from German "Gift" for (Poison). ● Kiap from German "Kapitän" for (Administrator). ● Rausim from German "Raus" for (Out of here). ● Milis from German "Milch" for (Milk). ● Kanaka from German "Kanake" for (Native). ● Gumi from German "Gummi" for (Rubber). ● Ananas is still the same for (Pineapple). ● Bensin from German "Benzin" for(Petrol). ● Mak from German "Mark"( ● Yot from German "Jod" for (Iodine) ● Hilen from German "Eilen" for (Rush) ● Hafen is still the same for (Port) ● Reken from German "Regen" for (Rain) ● Blitz is still the same for (Lightning)
Years ago I wanted to learn Unserdeutsch; but I found no materials. So I learnt Berbice Dutch instead. But nowadays I am much more into Negerhollands. I am even trying to revive it with a few people. It is good that you write in Unserdeutsch. Languages have to be used.
@@Aronora That was years ago. I think I just searched online. Nowadays there is a grammar, but I don’t need it, because I have enough other languages to learn. But I like talking about languages a lot, so you can tell me more, if you want to.
I was tired and got you question wrong. So far we do most things on Discord. But I also started a course on RUclips and a site on Reddit. Discussing on Reddit could help for instance. I am still trying to make Negerhollands more visible. I also do related art, but I’m only a beginner. Or maybe I know something easy to translate.
@@Aronora Yes, I am glad about every member. discord.gg/kKPp57m The subreddit is called Dutch_Creoles, because there is more than one. I too speak German, but as the other comments were in English I wrote in English too.
Very interesting to watch. I am from Papua New Guinea and I only speak Tok Pisin (English Creole), English and Nakanai (my native language). I heard about Unserdeutsch a few years back and I think all the people who still speak this language have all migrated to Australia and are no longer living in Papua New Guinea.
This caught my interested. It was shared by a fellow polyglot in Facebook. Is it possible to share your list of unserdeutsch vocabulary? I am interested in learning the creole language and probably help it from not another extinct creole language.
All my information are googled, seriously. Maybe we can make a good list somewhere. I always wanted to Code my own website for projects, maybe it’s time.

Gut zu wissen, wenn ich dort mal schiffbrüchig werde, kann ich ohne große Probleme den Klassiker sagen "Bringt mich zu euerem Anführer".
Wow. Good job
Now I know how German would sound and look like if it had undergone the same grammatical simplifications as English.
Interesting 🤔... Question ⁉️
How close is this German Creole vs regular German. I know that Haitian creole and French(Paris) 90 percent close.
There definitely needs to be more research on this subject. I cannot answer this question properly without visiting Australia
