It was a bitterly cold night, with temperatures dropping below freezing, and daytime temperatures only reaching a few degrees. To see a cat with obviously an inherent joy, curiosity and liveliness lying in a gutter, not moving, not responsive, simply waiting to die; to see it gradually recover and come back to life is a tale for the ages. The inherent treat of bringing a stray cat in off the street is non-existent, a human however.... they could be insane, mentally unstable, desperate and dangerous, they could wait until you asleep and kill you at any moment.... could decide they like your coat and stab you over it when you let your guard down.... etc etc... a desperate human is about the most dangerous animal on this planet...

Vets in Asia don’t cost nearly what the U.S. would cost. That treatment in the U.S. would have been thousands.
Canadian vets are even more costly.its outrageous actually.

God that first shot where it was sniffing the camera with eyes wide open after being treated made me ugly cry, just seeing the light back in the eyes after seeing how it was just sitting in that frigid water for God knows how long
Last year, during holidays me and my wife found this small kitten without strength to move nor to say anything. We cared him and now he is the most adorable cat we've ever seen. He never gets tired of playing, purring and kissing us. He does that all the time, all day along.
This life came to you, thank you for accepting it and taking care of it. You should feel proud and fullfilled, because you did a great job.

A couple months ago, my daughter's friend found a kitten in the street. Malnourished, dehydrated, and a severe case of conjunctivitis had swollen his eyes shut. He's made an amazing recovery, he's just got a little cloudiness in one eye and a small intermittent sneeze now. He could barely move when he came to live with us, now he attacks our feet as we walk by.
Same with the cat we saved. She is very cuddly and hates being left alone. I'm so happy we helped her and kudos to you for doing something so kind for such a precious creature.

This is just how depression can be for human beings. You have no motivation to move, no will to self care, you don't want to eat. You just wait for the end to come.
Just a small bit of care makes so much difference, humans and cats.

Weird how the number one cause of depression and anxiety is social media yet y’all still consume it every single day.
Your ancestors didn’t have time to be depressed because they were too busy working their asses of soo you could be here today. Complaining about how depressed you are. Everyone gets sad, everyone gets the feeling to just not move. But guess what? We do anyways.
“Don’t be sad, everyone you meet in the future will love you.” is perhaps one of the most beautiful things to say. I think a lot of people/animals are in situations where they need to hear that and for it to be true.

Yeah as soon as I saw the getting better process it broke my heart to see a cat go from not caring and just wanting to die to full of joy and emotion truly got my feels
I like the fact that you gave this guy a purpose in life and that he is happy now. He looked so depressed when you first found him. Thank you for saving him.
But do it safe. Warning - Cats who live in the open and appear sick may have a serious bacterial infection. Getting scratched by a sick cat can cause the bacteria to contact tour blood, and in turn give you a serious life threatening illness.
If you can contact your local animal doctor to get the animal instead.
If you absolutely must bring it yourself, use gloves or a thick blanket. To avoid being scratched.

He was dying, cat had panleukopenia. It wasn't depression that made them sit there, they were simply waiting for their death.
@@jonintrovertedpotato3866 I've never heard of vets going out to pick up stray animals. They don't have the time to do that. If you don't want to bring the animal in yourself you should contact a local animal rescue organization or animal shelter. Shelters don't pick up stray animals either but they might be able to give you the phone number of a rescue group that can help if you don't know who to call.
It's good advice to be cautious with animals you've never met but if they react defensively when you come towards them you shouldn't try to touch them even with gloves or a blanket. If the animal is an abandoned pet they'll usually allow you to safely pet them if you give them time to trust you, move slowly, speak quietly, and always offer them food first. This wasn't a wild cat, it was an abandoned or lost pet. A feral cat wouldn't allow human contact especially after it got its strength back.

It probably is extremely rewarding yet sad at the same time. I saw a sign in my vets office and it said ‘1 out of 3 vets commit suicide’ being a vet is probably such a rewarding but sad job. Thank you vets for all you do for our pets!

@fladave99really? How do you know that the water was warmer than the air? We’re you there? In my 65 years of life, unless it’s an indoor pool, and most outdoor ones, the water is always colder than the air. I’m a swimmer. Some things you just know.

@@absolutelypositively the water would have been warmer than the air because it retains heat better, so overnight it would be slightly warmer than the air. it would also be slightly colder than the air during the day though, which is why when you get in a swimming pool it is usually cold, because you generally go swimming in the day

Never give up on a cat, never. We didn't with our rescue Tia, she survived 4 years - it was not easy and when she finally passed, it was like we lost a daughter. We still can't look at pictures or videos as it destroys us. We tried so hard, but the abuse she went through finally took her in the end. We did what we could, spent so much money we are broke. But we would change a thing. RIP Tia darling.

The vet care saved its life but the pettings and chin scratches from the staff gave it the will to survive. I'm so glad it pulled through. It has such a cute face and a gentle disposition. I'm sure Goudan will be happy with his human family and this feline friend. Such a wonderful outcome.
I took in 4 really sick kittens in April. They were going blind due to a respiratory infection and were covered with fleas. After going to the vet, some amoxicillin and terramycin --- three days later they were playing with each other and feeling better. Two found homes, one went to live with my mom (he ended up losing one eye due to the illness). And the 4th one I kept. She is 100% healthy, chubby, and it's the sweetest kitten ever. She is loving and cuddly. Looking back I always smile that I did my part with helping them. They were barely 5 weeks old and terrified, wondering around my front yard... Now, they're all doing well and making humans happy.

God bless you😢 you made such a difference in those kittens lives. Ppl might say it’s pointless to save 1 or 2 kitties bc there are still so many out there suffering but it’s not bc to them in means the actual world ♥️ my cats were found abandoned in a box on the side of the road and now they are loved more than any living creature could ever ask to be. They are my children and nobody can tell me otherwise. ❤ I lived in the streets for several years in a rough part of Baltimore so there were so many stray cats that had been abandoned or born strays and I would always try and help them if I could bc I understood what they were going through. In return they protected me. On several occasions I had cats literally follow behind me and walk with me when I was walking in the middle of the night and it was usually when I was with a person who was trying to do me harm. They were trying to protect me and look out for me and never expected anything in return. I wish I could have done more but I was 80 pounds and could barely feed myself. If I had food on me it was 50 cent skittles or snack cakes so it would have done more harm than good. I gave them water if I had it and told them they were loved and appreciated even if it was just by one small homeless woman viewed as worthless by society. Animals are so much better than humans.

Cat’s are literally perfect, I love them so much and all their different personalities, they really love you back more than most people would think, so many ppl say they don’t like cats because they aren’t loyal and don’t listen but my cat is the most loyal good listener ever, when I tell him not to do something or to come to me he always does, I gave him pats while watching this and trying not to sob, I’m so glad you guys saved this bean and gave it a loving home, they bring so much love with them in return, that cat will love you forever❤️
I have a tortie and she's definitely got a case of "tortitude". The most talkative, picky, "my way or the highway" animal I've ever met. She's taught me so much about life, honestly. The best thing she taught me though, is that the cats that are the "worst listeners" really are just desperately in need of someone to listen to their needs for once. To openly and expressively communicate with them in a way they understand, make them not feel ignored or alone. Hear them out even though they can't speak our language. So many people don't get that and they miss out on a beautiful relationship with such loving creatures. I love my babygirl and wouldn't trade her for the world 💕

That cat seemed to be near death, maybe it would not have even survived one more day without help. This video made me cry, but I am so happy that he recovered and he has a nice loving home. ❤️

I wish selling and buying pets would be illegal so any human who wants a pet will adopt one who needs a home. This world would be so much better if people saved a life instead of buying a pedigree animal to show it off. Any cat can be so beautiful and loving when taken care off. He's so sweet to come when called! Cats know when they are loved and you care about them, nurse them back to health and truly appreciate it and love you for it.
