I absolutely love her use of her vocal instrument. I am addicted to how beautifully and thoughtfully she phrased each note at and around 2:08 (& 5:14). Especially how her note resonated through the whole room at 2:11. Gives me chills.. what a pro!!! Jeanine you're the best!
A Trinidadian sent this recording to my husband. What an exquisite rendering of Carl Maria von Weber. I have attended many operas but Jeanine's voice and her mastery of the subject beats them all as far as enchantment goes. I listen to it frequently.
The rights holders owe it to humanity to release this version on (SA)CD. Maybe also on DVD, but you should actually be able to concentrate exclusively on the voice and phrasing. Jeanine de Bique has descended from heaven: A 'gift from God'.
Sounds like a wobbly mosquito. Because of this thinness of vocalisation it gets monotonous and boring within less than a minute. There's no variety in colour or expression. Disappointing.

It's a very difficult language and nearly impossible to imitate or learn when you learn it as an adult. You will forever have an accent. but you didn't just have an accent, you were totally off with your pronunciation.
