  • 70% of African Americans believe that there is a problem with the justice system. On the other hand, only 33% of white people believe there is no equal treatment between white people and people of color.
How do we fix the relationship between communities and police?
In his talk, retired police officer Loyad Booker, brings solutions to the problem with empathy.
Loyad is a decorated war veteran and was deployed during Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield. He’s also a retired police officer with over 25 years of service and he cites his main goal to be about bridging the gap between law enforcement and communities by building trust. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

More than any other person in Bayonne, I've heard personal recommendations of Mr. Booker as a exemplar and role model. We're lucky to have such a one grace our community.
