    Very useful content. I didn't know the ElementType node and have been using the GetParameterValueByName node and "Family" for parameterName, which can do the same job.

    I have used element.elementtype in plenty of scripts but never realised element.parameters didn't read type parameters, thanks for the heads up! Have a few scripts to upgrade now 😁

    Thanks for the video... Would you know how to get the "Fluid Type" parameter value from a pipe element"
    All Pipes have a System Type, it shows the Piping System and the Piping system contains the"Fluid Type" parameter value... just not sure how to get the value.

    hi, thx for this tuto :)
    do you have a solution to extract a parameter without element in model ? for exemple extract a parameter of rebar to create many rules of filter befor modeling rebars...

      Which version of Revit? Are you installing the latest version?
