CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: I understand this is meant to be for beginners, but I am searching for beginner guides for friends of mine that want to get in to the game. I have recommended some of your other content, but I honestly can't recommend this guide at all. It only just came out and is very outdated. It looks like the physical god's part was written for last split. You do not have The Sledge anywhere which is possibly the best physical solo/support item. Serrated Edge is nowhere to be seen which is very good on auto attack junglers especially on Arachne. You recommend Executioner instead of Atalanta's Bow. To everyone reading this please don't build executioner, it is so bad now vs Atalanta's Bow. So please build Atalanta's Bow. And if you are playing carry in Conquest you should also build Devourer's Gauntlet instead of Bloodforge. And on another note if you are playing support even aggressive ones you should always have Gauntlet of Thebes. And finally the 3 crit items that are currently considered the best for hunters to be using are Rage, Wind Demon, and Fail-Not.
Hard to say. Most of the builds mentioned in this video are still pretty strong for season 8. The problem is the starter items changed. What is more likely is I would make a video like this for season 8 starter items to smooth over the new chunk of changes!
Best God Guid would wonder if you could do an updated version but this is also a great baseline for current (in a way) , and the breakdown of every class was smooth and concise and very great not a lot of Extra stuff.
Hades and zhong kui (which I don’t see) belong to the lifesteal mage if we follow your classification. Currently Atlanta is better than exec because 20% pen all the time and the passive is better than 21% protection shred that as you to deal 3 auto to be effective. Gaia stone is a very strong item for solo laner and support as well, same for blink for the initiation. Sledge is one of the best cost effective item for any physical solo/support. You should mention some god that can heal because they have 1-2 item that may interest them. The guide is not bad considering it’s for beginner but I feel that there are many thing that is either missing of outdated
I know this video is nice and I noticed it's a year old only thing I didn't like was mantle of discord and spirit robe was there where I feel there is other items that woulda Fit it for the cookie cutter build. But other than that nice video just liked and subbed as well.
The shoes of the magi mistake got me every time I was dying lmao, and then you messed it up backwards with shoes of focus 🤣 🤣🤣 great vid them screenshots looking strong
Do you think you can post a text based version of this? I'm new to smite and I've really been appreciating your videos, but it's hard to reference a video in the middle of the game. Thanks a lot again!
First of all Do you boots bro?and im a begginer but i dont go to search items i just let the ayto buyer or smthing xd please tell me if i can let the auto buyer to buy me items or if i need to buy those builds please ^^
As a very casual player of smite for 6 years, and finally wanting to go harder into conquest, this was great to just use as a basic baseline, so thank you so much for the work you do. Edit: I saw that one of your builds had 50% CDR. Is that okay o should there be a different item?
If you point out the build I’ll happily adjust it, but in general if you’re new overcapping by a minor amount is not bad, because the whole point of these cookie cutter builds is just to be ‘good enough in most situations’ Hope this helps :)
Ohh yes that one. You’ll only be overcapping on CDR for a little bit of time before you sell boots and get another flex item, so I am going to say for the sake of simplicity it’s all good :)
I'm returning to Smite after a 4 year hiatus. I only really play Arena - most builds only really treat Smite as though there is only Conquest. Do you feel these builds would be good for Arena since it's much shorter & closer quarters?
All of these builds will work in non-conquest modes! The only change necessary is instead of getting assassins blessing, get attackers blessing, the rest is the same :)
@@Keltick Before my break, I used to main Skadi, grinding her to master 8. Now that I'm getting back into the game, I'm trying to get the feel for her again. My Skadi is absolute trash, even when trying to incorporate lifesteal. Her hits feel like they have no punch to them, & she feels super squishy. From your guide, I haven't been playing her as an ability based god - I never did back before. But the way a god plays can change dramatically in 4 years. I see players with the same or similar builds destroy as Skadi. So the problem has to be my playstyle, right?
Play style can be a part of it, but for the most part it’s a bunch of little things that can lead to overall pain (way to many factors to list off here) My recommendation is to just keep looking for ability pressure and constantly look to improve your positioning, it is easier to play defensive then aggressive with practice :)
The builds are more based on play style and identity rather than for the gods themselves. That being said I did organize them generally into these categories. If I still have the picture on my hard drive I’ll upload it to my community tab tomorrow for your records :)
@@Keltick That'd be great, otherwise I'll try and grab a screen shot mid video in the meantime to see if I can figure out the ones I'm confused on Thank you
Atlanta bow is a lot more execution based in order to be used effectively, where as executioner does a lot more behind the scenes that the player does not have to be aware of to succeed. If you understand Atlanta bow and get the ins and outs of the item, it can be a really good pickup, but if you are new and don't necessarily understand what the passive does, executioner is the play. TL;DR: new players don't necessarily understand items, and wherever possible I traded out slight power gains for readability
@@Keltick Thank you. I scrolled down and saw your previous reply. I could not understand it properly. Now you have given a detailed answer and i got it. Thank you.

i haven’t watched the whole vid but why keep the hunter boots in the final build instead of selling them for another time and buying a movement speed pot?
That phase of building doesn’t happen in every game is the main reason. Secondary but equally important reason being that whatever you sell boots for late game is all supplementary and won’t throw off the rest of the build :)
Atlanta bow is much more execution heavy to use properly so I didn’t put it in any builds. It has pretty good stats and I have seen it picked up a lot in the pro league so I do think it is a pretty solid pickup
I typically don’t recommend new players do stacking items because they require a lot more attention to detail. Transcendence is the exception to this rule because it has enough base power to still give you a solid power spike. Devourer Gauntlet takes a very long time to fully stack and does not provide a huge punch until it is stacked up. So that’s why I recommend bloodforge for newer players who are going to be fighting more often, and will need the extra power gained earlier by not needing to stack up :)
If you have a basic grip on what you want to build you can turn off auto-purchase. There are videos on this channel that discuss how to build, once you got a basic understanding of it I would recommend disabling auto build yes!
I put Hades as a guardian for 2 reasons. 1. Fun callback to when he used to be one 2. (Definitely more important) Hades has a much harder time utilizing full power style builds, and does consistently better when he gets to build hybrid. So I put hades in the category because the build and play style fits him better! Don’t recommend pulling him out in support, but solo is a good time :) Hope this helps

Ninja Tabi
Wind Demon
Devourer's Gauntlet
Asi
Deathbringer
Crusher
The crits are AMAZING
Thanks for these vids bro!!! I got hated on in conquest today because I’m a newb lol now I’ll practice on arena
definitely recommend starting in arena to begin! after you get the basics come back to conquest :)
As a new player your video saved my life. Thanks !

Lifesteal helps a lot with Hunters as well since they're not very tanky
