How in the hell is this even possible?! Does Texas not have any building codes or inspections required when constructing? What about the EPA?!? There’s nothing wrong with people immigrating here legally, it’s the fact that so many people have been able to cut in line and aren’t being held to the same standard as people who are here legally! We are fucked as a nation…
Immigrants have money from the work they do in Texas, folks want that money and will gladly sell Texas right out from under you. Yes there are laws that would restrict this even in Texas, but hell the people selling the land are Republicans and Abbot is all for free enterprise and the campaign contribution that comes from it. lol.

I hope America has been good to you. I understand your frustration with what’s happening today tho. It’s like a slap in the face.
As a American born and raised here, thank you for going the right way to becoming a citizen. This enrages me that this has gone un-checked. I wonder what the sell-out of America is for governors, sheriffs, politicians these days.

Adding a bit more... Manufactured homes are not taxable as real estate is and land value is barely taxed. So. for about $300/year this community gets all the same schools, police, fire, and other city services. Basically, the whole community is supplemented by others paying taxes.
Good point. Many cities around TX have implemented zoning restrictions for that reason. No more mobile homes allowed, and the ones already in place are grandfathered.

I am so glad you covered this, it is across the street from a family of You Tubers. Their land was under 6 feet of water during Hurricane Harvey. The developers did little to help with water run off. The immigrants don't seem to need driver's licenses or insurance. This is also where that couple that was shot in July.
I caught a migrant family stealing from my neighborhood store a few weeks ago. Two carts full and when they opened the trunk to their car, they had a bunch of trash bags to put the stuff in. Cleveland ISD Superintendent has been filmed in an interview explaining why the district believes there are around 80,000 people in the Colony Ridge subdivisions, based on the number of hispanic school children that have been enrolled with different last names but the exact same residence address in Colony Ridge. His estimation is that most homes in Colony Ridge are likely housing multiple families based on that fact of enrollment.
That is precisely how Mexican Migrants work. Even in LA or Atlanta, they pack multiple families into an apartment, pool resources, and in no time, the men all have F350s and booming businesses. Nothing new.
Poor areas are nothing out of the ordinary, just look at parts of Appalachia. However, the issue is that a majority of these people are undocumented. Which means living here illegally, working without a permit, probably with forged Social Security cards or they work under the table for cash and in that case pay no taxes. They will never become citizens. No health insurance, no bank accounts (although it is not impossible to get one), no access to credit, no workplace protections, very little English skills. Now, if the numbers of these people are relatively low, the impact is limited, however we are talking about many millions and growing every single day as these new asylum seekers have a slim chance of ever getting granted asylum status, but are sure to not let themselves be deported.

This development is about 10 miles from the part of Houston that I live and I had no idea it even existed until by chance, at a wedding, I spoke with a school principal from this area who couldn't stop talking about the problems from the overcrowding, lack of funding, and ESL (English as a second language) challenges faced by his school district. This is completely unfair to these communities and the taxpayers!
What are you talking about the trailers are not taxed but the property is. Every single year there is a property tax meaning the land not the home. As for the over crowding and funding guess what they did to how school were funded way back they changed it to be funded federally to being funded only through property Tax why do you think there is such a discrepancy in cities between schools. As to they ESL way back when almost every American spoke a different language German French Dutch what problem’s exactly does ESL make in curious. Ive lived within 20 minutes of this place for the last 12 years and DID NOT know it existed. Last year my wife and I found 5 acres of land at a decent price on HAR and decided to jump on the motorcycle and head over there to go have a look. We crossed 99, drove about a mile and ended up in a completely different fucking country. After the 5th taco stand in 2 blocks time I thought hhhmm thats odd. Its little Mexico over here. Then i noticed houses half burned and abandoned, trailers ripped in half, trash everywhere, overall it just felt like we had landed in the most run down area of Mexico, when just minutes before we were in our own community near Humble. We made our way to the address where the land was, though we already knew it was a waste of time. Once we turned onto a "neighborhood" road, the feral dogs were everywhere and we got chased on the motorcycle by a pack of them, and let me tell you it was not fun. I couldnt just speed away because there were speed bumps in the roads there. My wife was screaming and kicking them. They were viciously snapping at us as i swerved and honked my horn. They don't abide by HOA rules as a single-family dwelling. They load up as many people possible in 1 house and even in an apartment. I'm seeing it more and more. Those people don't follow the laws of our land, hence illegally here in the first place.
These houses are foreclosed on regularly. The feds are looking into the developer. According to most documents they one in every 3-4 are being foreclosed on within the first year. They don't check people's ability to pay, they take the down payment and then promise sewer and water hookups and then when people move in and find out that's bs and then have to do themselves and then can't afford to pay and then are foreclosed on and they repeat the process
I refuse to get angry with people who are simply taking advantage of things made available to them 🤷♂️. If ANYONE in the US has a problem with this they need to take it up with those that are making this happen. This is not an oopsy that got out of hand, this is clearly being promoted and encouraged AND outright swept under the rug when called to attention.

I wonder what would be found if you searched for building permits and Certificates of Occupancy? If those exist, did these land companies actually transfer title to the new “owners?” I suspect the entire enterprise is illegal. The people who think they’ve bought land really didn’t, and if the mobile homes did not transfer title, which I would be surprised if they did, the people don’t even own those.

Are you serious you do realize that if you own land or any property you have to pay property taxes. You do realize that without a Texas income tax you know what else is a big part of taxes sales taxes that you pay just for buying anything in stores.
This has been going on for a long time in Texas. It drives up property taxes in other places to send billions of Dollars of local ISD property taxes to these areas with Austin ISD sending $845 million alone last year. Just saw this video. I’ve seen from residents of Plum Grove the devastation of this area. Not only did a crooked developer, with the help of the county, destroy the area with changing water runoff areas which now flood the surrounding homes and farmland, but this little town of 600 people now numbers, by last census, 60k and actually potentially more than 100-150k. Gunfire, sirens, filth and lawlessness abound. Schools are greatly overwhelmed, infrastructure has collapsed. There’s only one road leading into the area and residents live in fear just coming and going from their homes. Theft is rampant. None of these people speak English, and will not. They have forsaken the good people in the town and sold out to illegal activities such as cartels, drug smuggling, human trafficking, etc. The area has been devastated and lawful residents are moving out. Centennial farms and lands are being forced out. Is there any help for these truly good people or is the government going to do anything? Residents have tried to bring awareness, but only more pour in. It’s heartbreaking.

This colonia is huge. I have a friend in Dayton who does county road work and he said even the police don’t go into that place. It’s virtually lawless. Is it any surprise that this is here when our governor is on the WEF website as their pal? If you don’t believe me just look it up. I’m so disgusted with his current stance against illegals. He didn’t do a thing about this problem for YEARS. How many others of our elected officials are compromised by the cartels, the WEF and the UN? Even one is too many.
Texas’ cheapness is probably because of lower regulations. Not to mention the state is so vast that I imagine it’s very hard to police it all.

This is completely unfair to these communities and the taxpayers!
You point out some things many folks aren’t aware of! 😧
Texans are to Aussies as the Chihuahuan desert is to the Outback. End of comparison.
It is not accident that there are more people in TX than in Australia, and the state economy alone is larger than the downunder's.

Hard to believe a county inspector hasn’t been there.
County Inspectors, Sheriffs, Troopers , etc. all of them have either been bribed and/ or targeted and blackmailed by Cartels this exact thing happens in Mexico in Cartel territory
Because, the county inspector probably owns the land being sold and/or rented. 🤣

Soon as the speed bumps cleared we got the hell out of there.
This is not a normal community of people. This area is not normal. There is very obviously something else going on here. Im told cartel are very active in the area. That police dont bother going in there. That its basically the wild west and these people basically just live and do whatever they want. Laws optional.
Do not accidentally wander into Plum Grove.
You are so full of it. Did you really just go with the original “I’m told”lol. I live in new caney and humble is nothing to brag about.

Great Video Nick!
I'm one of your biggest fans and really enjoy watching your videos. It seems to me that you really put yourself through a lot of burdensome traveling just to make these videos.
But I'm glad you do all this work!
😅
I'm 75, single senior living in a older hug apartment. Can't afford a house. Barley afford food. But all the Mexicans bring their family's to live with them so they can afford a house. That's why you see so many cars in front of the house. And I live in Conroe.
That Saddens me you have to live this way, these illegals have more rights than you and I,they can buy weapons without license, they can buy expensive car's without license and insurance, because we are paying for it, it's truly disgusting that the government would ignore Americans
They don't abide by HOA rules as a single-family dwelling. They load up as many people possible in 1 house and even in an apartment. I'm seeing it more and more. Those people don't follow the laws of our land, hence illegally here in the first place.
God Bless ya Darlin’ 🎩🙏💙☘️✌️
@@candysmith8724maybe they can't afford anything else?
These houses are foreclosed on regularly. The feds are looking into the developer. According to most documents they one in every 3-4 are being foreclosed on within the first year. They don't check people's ability to pay, they take the down payment and then promise sewer and water hookups and then when people move in and find out that's bs and then have to do themselves and then can't afford to pay and then are foreclosed on and they repeat the process
14 seconds into this video, I was laughing. Nick keep them coming. Be careful!
There isn't anything the average citizen can do. This is what the globist are doing to the world. You have to vote the current people out of office in our country , but this is going on throughout the world.
Somebody is getting enormously rich, bilking Mexicans out of their money and then foreclosing. When they leave, the dog stays which is why there are so many strays.
Amd sanitation is an issue and illegal if they don’t have proper lawful sewage systems.
I agree
Great job Nick. I learn more from your videos than from news outlets. I attended San Gorgonio HS in the late sixties. Sad to see what has happened to good ol Berdoo. I have lived in rural San Diego County the past 25 years. Still pretty nice out here but the heat waves will put you in the hospital if you are not careful.
Rural Texas in general is a patchwork of odd homes, properties, and varied businesses. Rural areas in other states don't look like that. When people say Texas is like another country it's not an exaggeration.
I wonder what would be found if you searched for building permits and Certificates of Occupancy? If those exist, did these land companies actually transfer title to the new “owners?”
I suspect the entire enterprise is illegal. The people who think they’ve bought land really didn’t, and if the mobile homes did not transfer title, which I would be surprised if they did, the people don’t even own those.
This is Texas, there are no rules to intrude on our Freedoms.
Where did they get the $$$$
YOU HAVE TO MANY COMMIES IN THE HOUSTON AREA IN THE GOVERNMENT YOU CAN BET THEY ARE LINING THEIR POCKETS WITH MONEY!! I DONT BELIEVE THERE ARE ENOUGH PEOPLE IN HOUSTON TO GET RID OF ALL THE DEMORAT IN THEIR GOVT TO STOP THIS KIND OF STUFF!
Happens all the time with "rent to own". Folks "sell" same house 5-18 times in 6 years, raking in big $$. Poor idiots think they "bought" a house with small down, no credit, very high interest. Can't make payments, etc.
and where did they all get their LOANS hahaha!!!
Thanks Nick for sharing this. It's sad to see what are country is becoming.
Hello there Nick J.; Thanx4the tours.
They don't pay taxes but they sure use the services Americans pay for. When will people wake up
Because, they don't really own the land/property but rent it, has anyone shown a land deed of ownership....hint🤔 renters do not pay property tax just owners.
They have to show that they pay income taxes in order to apply for visas and legal residency which the majority of them want to do.

Tru Homes factory in Belton, TX seems to be shipping out a ton of these mobile homes everyday and they put them on the I-35 southbound at 8 AM in horrible rush hour traffic and I've thought about following them to see where they're going.
I've lived in South America and spent a lot of time in Mexico. That neighborhood is very similar. How would you find out where there are from?
We have lived in houses while we built.
No one want to live in a gated community do they? Nothing wrong with living in an old trailer. It is sad to think any people are being taking advantage of. Americans or not. they should come through the front door for sure!

Thanks for documenting USA’s first favela

These people who moved to this county in Texas will make it in the long run I believe. The ones that migrate to the big lawless cities like LA, and NYC will have a tougher time and some will never reach their dream of coming to America.

the area he is showing is plum grove its not colony ridge which is the area your talking about. he calls it that but its not. I know because I live in this community but we live in actual houses in a neighborhood next to all the trailers. He doesn't show the good part. And its not as developed as it is now.
There are several places like that in Texas. Kyle TX has "little Mexico" that has a food trailer or restaurant from their trailer home for miles. Also just outside of Austin towards Bastrop, the same view you're showing here. And the crime rate is crazy high. I'm Mexican but by the 4th generation. All my grandparents & great grandparents were born and raised in Texas & paid taxes & did everything legally as the law of the land required. They worked hard, never took handouts & appreciated the simple life. They took pride in being a Texan Mexican American. Sadly, some of this younger generation is just a different kind of lazy breed.
