This looks a lot like the Quik-Latch quick disconnect brand. They make the same thing to keep carbureted air filters secured without leaving an exposed bolt or nut showing.
Looks very useful but if that price shown is any indication, these are too expensive given the cost of manufacture and materials used which equate to two 4 bolts, a handful of washers and a decorative top. I just cannot personally justify paying more than ¥6000-¥8000 for these. I hope to find them at a lower cost later.
They look good and all but it seems like people have forgotten that there is military grade quick latch hardware at an affordable price point: DZUS Fastener. They are cheap and work very well. They are also weigh very little.

What are your thoughts about these quick disconnects being used to install a flat mount carbon fiber rear diffuser? Because the diffuser will mount to the spare tire carrier, it needs to be quick release to remove in the even of a flat for spare tire access. Thanks.

It's mostly to make sure the bumper fits correctly. If you look at basically ANY FR-S, BRZ, or GT86, you'll see the bumper doesn't fit correctly next to the headlight, in front of the wheel arch. Older models show it worse usually.
I was looking to buy this, but when I saw $215! I backed off, that's A LOT for 4 bolts. I will have to look somewhere else or look another alternative, but I'm not paying $215 for bolts
Quick question bro I have a clk500 and I’m going to be getting a customized after market bumper and I don’t want to have to add brackets and do all the extra work that needs to be done you think if I use this quick release set up the bumper will hold up with just the quick release set up or ?
Hey I’m 17 and getting a brz very soon and I’m stoked! But I’m getting new rims as soon as I get it but I have no clue what im looking for I want wider tired but I have no clue where to start any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Awesome video! What about the other bolts. Do these become a quick release, but you still need to unscrew all the rest of it? P.S. Something's off about the video quality.
Depends on what kind of driving you're doing. If you're taking the bumper on and off a frequently, loading the car on a trailer, drifting, taking it off at a show, you could just use the Quick Disconnect mounts, but if you're going to drive for a while on the interstate, there may be some flapping if the under panels aren't tucked in.
I remove my bumper every time I take my BRZ off road. I never plan for it to come off. It just usually ends up that way after it swallows a rock or a bush. 😂

@@FTspeed the bolts that are already holding the bumper could have been the quick disconnect fitting that way you wouldn't need to drill extra holes. That's how the legit kits do it
On the FT86 platform they're super convenient. Not only do they re-align the bumper properlt you no longer have to remove the side signal light which is a bitch every time you remove and install the bumper. You simply disconnect the wire clip and remove bumper, light stays put
"yep, it's not going anywhere". It's not done unless this is said
Where did $215 come from im sorry thats expensive af lol
Are the charging for the machine that made them. Like damn haha
dammmm, i think i'll just use some bolts and nuts.
Damn $215 for a $10/$20 kit is a bit expensive 😅
I saw this on another channel before. But I'm glad you guys are showing it!

For sure saving up for these after the current mods I’m saving for! My front bumper has never fit the proper way after having removed it a few times!

$20 rubber band ones that are not as nice, or $215 for something that is nicer but does literally the exact same thing. You decide

These look a lot like the quik-latch I use on my bumper just way more expensive.
The poor souls who bought that expensive one probably didn't know any better. The thing probably costed them a few dollars to make

Stupid question? But can they hold abit of weight? As my bracket on bumper is basically gone an too weak, an keeps falling

"quick disconnect" for like, two bolts out of the 16 you have to remove to actually get the bumper off. Just fix the bumper.
By any chance, can you make another one for the rear bumper?

We do have another warehouse in Utah to cut down shipping times. But the shop where we make all our videos is still here in Iowa.
Does the bumper sag still exist for the 2017+ models? Id love to hear more on your experiences with it and what you do about it
