I have lots and lots of Higgins Brothers juggling balls. I really like them, but I noticed that certain colours disintegrate at different rates. It's especially noticeable on balls that have different colours, like the red, blue, yellow and green balls. After a few years, the yellow, red, and blue still look decent, but the green is basically see through.

Strange! I generally have solid colour balls in my prop collection, so I haven't noticed it quite as much, but they do slowly degenerate. Mine usually last a couple years before I have to replace them

How long do they last? In my experience this style of ball has a fabric with a grip coating that quickly starts cracking and peeling off. They start out firm and become much saggier over time as the fabric deteriorates.

They definitely do deteriorate slowly. In my experience they last about 3-4 years until they're squishier than I want to use in performances. The ones I'm using right now are exactly a year old and I've been performing with them about an hour a day 6 days a week, theres a few notches where you can see they will eventually crack but they're doing fine! If you enjoy a very firm ball I would suggest mmx or stage balls. They honestly never get softer but they roll very far if you drop them which is why I perform with bean bags. Less stressful if I make a mistake on stage 😂
