Thanks for the vid, brings back memories of myself and my mate chasing JP in Jarra Ck your so correct about the need to work as team and read the river and your surroundings ,I guess it’s a bit of hunting skills and fishing skills to hook up. Cheers mate to you and the young fella. Tight Lines

Love this stuff! Great video mate and well done on the pb. I've been doing a fair bit of jp fishing lately, it's addictive and I get that next bend syndrome real bad hey. Don't worry mate, I'm 36 and have to take three pills, whack on a knee strap thing, and put shoes on as I can't go bare knuckle these days. Being 6'5 with a crook back doesn't help either, but I get it done haha. Love it mate cheers ! 👍🎣

Yeah the young fella was showing me some of your Insta stuff the other day. As ya know mate, I don’t do any other social media stuff than this RUclips so I miss out on a lot, but he shows me the good stuff. Yep, the old age is sneaking in so I’ll do it while I can mate, thanks heaps mate. 👌🏻😝

Dang Hodgie, you bring back the memories of a feral kid chasing these beautiful fish. In the late 70's growing up about 6 hours north of you in the most unique JP fishery on earth I believe, fish of a kilo+ were not uncommon, with some that I believe touched 2. If there is such a thing as a world record JP, this the place to do it. Scoff if you must, but I have the pics to prove. We didn't have to worry about crocs back in those days, which made anywhere accessible.
My brother and I are coming over next year for a month or so, and I'm trying to figure out how I can get at that spot, as I'm not nimble enough to be climbing rock walls etc. Your young fella would have a ball there, as it's the only place I've ever fished for JP's that you can catch many(large) JP's, cast after cast. All other areas are one cast and basically done for a pool as you well know.
Thanks for the video. Hearing the old bird sounds is almost as good as reliving my youth with you two.

@@stevehershberger2672 I’m so glad that it sparked some memories for ya mate. They are forever hey. I have heard of fisheries as good as you mention but we just haven’t found them yet, and time restraints make it hard to do long trips now days. Thanks for the comment mate. 👌🏻😜
