  • In the present video I have given an idea about the “Collateral Ventilation channels”. There are mainly three channels,
    1.interbronchiolar pathways of martin,
    2.bronchiole alveolar channels of lambert,
    3.Interalvelar pores of Kohn.
Normally, in normal lung the resistance to airflow via the collateral ventilatory system is high and there is little movement of gas through these channels. Means normally these channels are non-functioning but if required it can be made to function.
So as a cardiopulmonary physiotherapist we can make use of different PT techniques that will activate collateral ventilation channels.
    Thank you for watching video.
    Thanks and regards,

Sir, if collateral resistance has increased in fibrosis then how it helpful for collateral pathway. The work of the system will be reduced?
