I think I really prefer Chuckie and Dan over any other quest. They're both intelligent and give a fresh perspective on any subject. They are an automatic click when I see them and I have to watch to the end.
Absolutely loved this episode and the conversation regarding God. Dan is so intelligent and it’s very refreshing to here this coming from him. Hope y’all have a good week ❤️🙏🏾
I would love to see Chuckie interview a Christian priest and a Islamic Sheikh side by side and pry out the similarities and differences. Chuckies got the ability to tread on such volatile grounds and asks the right intriguing questions coming from a place of inquisition rather than judgement ygm?
Interesting discussion about God. Chuckie you should deffo have a discussion w a brother of Islamic knowledge insha’Allah. You got a good curiosity Mashallah may Allah guide you both ❤
have started reading my bible more at the start of this 2023 year as a NY resolution. What I have learnt so far is that: (to paraphrase) Jesus had heavy beef with the Pharisees in the bible, they didn’t accept his message and they ended up crucifying him on the cross. The Pharisees were powerful Jewish Leaders at the time who were strict in their following of the rules but their hearts did not match their actions evidenced in [Mark 7:1-13]. They were very self-indulgent, hypocritical, condescending and proud but masked it with keeping the law and acting religious when they weren’t [Luke 16:9-31]. Jesus was big on showing love to everyone regardless of their status, having strong faith in God and developing a relationship with God yet they didn’t want to accept him. In [Galatians 5:2-6], Jesus says (paraphrasing) ‘If you are trying to please god by following the laws, follow them all 100% and not half-heartedly or to what pleases yourself. Instead, live by the spirit and let your faith express itself in love’. No matter how good of a person you are or how religious you are, you cannot meet god in Heaven unless you accept the words and acts of Christ - [John 14:6 + Acts 4:12]. The people watched Jesus get lynched on the cross and arose yet people still didn’t want to accept Jesus and listen to the teachings and warnings he gave.
What gets me is that Jesus in his time and our time would be classed as a religious activist or even a classed as a radical/ terrorist by governments. People then and now can't fathom that God is and can never be a logical or structural force so anything that doesn't fit into a system where order and hierarchy is praised then its a threat that needs to be removed. If the Messiah came back today how many people in this generation (with all the distractions and 'information') would actually believe and follow God's word?
35:30 😭🤣🔥 The truth is God basically said this and then doubled down and said if you are with me I am with you. That’s the honest truth, I love this part of the talk too though
Chuckie Mashallah I love that you have embarked on the journey of learning Islam. They say if you take one step to God he'll take 10 steps towards you. Keep on reading and take your time and be very careful on who you take knowledge from. Make sure he/she has a clean heart.
Social contract - prescribes what is wrong or right in society . Religious texts and teachings prescribe what is also acceptable or not. It is from these texts and teachings that a lot of what is deemed a sim is derived from. This is across all religions.
You are allowed to kiss and hug your partner, just not allowed to be intimate during the day. During the night you can do what you want with your spouse
Has anyone watched the Netflix series Messiah? Really great show - shot well, captivating script etc. Truly got me thinking about divinity, spirituality, and faith in this generation and what it looks like and means to different people. Relates a lot to what you guys are talking about. Shook me fr because if the end times came suddenly I don't think anyone would really be ready...

It’s all about intention in Islam bro…if you’ve done something good in Ramadan because the reward is multiplied, and you think it is okay to sin after that because it won’t have any impact because you think good deeds outweigh it, then your intention is in the wrong place
The Seven Major Destructive Sins in Islam 1. Associating others with Allah (Shirk) 2. Taking a life unjustly 3. Consuming Interest (Riba) 4. Consuming the wealth of an Orphan 5. Fleeing The Battlefield 6. Accusing a believing woman of Adultery 7. Practicing Sihr (Magic)

Why does one need a religion to speak to or get close to any higher power? The answer is: to be embraced and promoted by a community (nothing to do with any God).
If you can prove that the religion has a true, unchanged, preserved, divine revelation that guides you. That you know is completely divine and from the source. It acts as an easy guide for a connection with the source of creation. I think you would love a book called the Kybalion. Great book about God and hermetic principles and the relationship between God and his creations.
you can say that a sin is something that if done, it will either harm yourself or anyone else in the sliiiiiightest way or to the highest degree like murdering someone...... But the highest sin is believing or affirming that someone or something else is worthy of worship besides Allah. Hop that kinda helps
Islam answers all the questions you have posed in this convo, relating to our existence and where we are going etc Islam also encourages us to seek the truth, I.e don’t just follow blindly, the sincere person always comes to the conclusion that Islam is the only logic belief system that’s why it’s the fasting growing religion in the world (this is not to offend any other religion ) also Muslims believe that it was/is the same god (Allah) who sent down previous scriptures and belief systems which is why you see many similarities, long story short the Quran and sunnah are the complete and final guidance for humankind (not just Arabs as many believe)
Chuckie read the Kybalion! I think you would enjoy the book! After that if you got time, RUclips the beliefs of Islam. I think you would enjoy youtubers like Mohammad Hijab, Ali Dawah, Smile2Jannah (Zeeshan). Ali is actually a revert and lived a life of "sin"
