His channel has more on the reveal of this car and it being put together (a few times actually lulz) BUT I uploaded a "Part 1" two years ago where we got it on track, correctly, and tapped into its potential.
Thanks heh. Given how much he has driven/cruised it and how many pulls have been done... it is safe to presume it is fine. That picture was likely after sitting, so the hydraulic tensioner was not "pumped up" yet. Personally, I would have added a shim i.e. washer mod.
After sitting its supposed to collapse tho, that's fully extended. Thats a disaster waiting to happen. Prayers for nomie hes lucky not safe. but omg i would immediately fix that if he hasnt

I have seen worse on other cars, so "disaster" is a bit of a stretch considering the several months' duration and paces since this conclusion. The "auto" portion of its job seems to have been handling things just fine. Whether or not he wants to check on it and/or do something about it is up to him though... moot otherwise
I understand you didn't do the work al. But that is most definitely a disaster waiting to happen. With how much you are around these cars I expected you to be shocked you didn't notice it and immediately recommended to your friend that he do it properly... bent valves is probably the single most common disaster with these motors whether failed tentioner/ improper set up or lack of maintenance. But i know you already aware of that. I guess im just shocked you said its safe with that knowledge. it will work untill it doesn't .. Bent valves incoming 😂
