  • The Kisatchie wild horses are a herd of horses that have lived in Kisatchie National Forest in Louisiana for generations without much human contact. Some say the horses can trace their ancestry back to Spanish conquistadors, early settlers, Native Americans, and U.S. Cavalry horses. The horses are small and compact, and some have distinct characteristics of the early Spanish Mustang.
Find out more about these wild horses as Sue Immen narrates this informative video. Enjoy the ride!
