- This video has a lot more meaning than my usual videos and I did find it quite a difficult project to take on .. I was flattered to be involved in something so special, providing a final resting place for twin babies, Grace and Olivia, and hopefully did them justice with what I came up with ..
These hybrid eggs were made from the same Mallee burl and I used epoxy resin with a walnut trim and internal lid ..

Did not realize till the end and you were putting the names on that these were urns. I thought you were making small lights. You did a beautiful and wonderful job on these, and provided a unique resting place for two little ones. Condolences to the grieving family.

Same. I thought they were lights too, and then I saw the names emerging, and I was like, 'wait... are these...? *reads description*' I almost cried. This is such a beautiful thing that he did for the family!

As some of the others have mentioned, I didn’t read the description before watching the video so I didn’t realize what you were making until you put the names on the lids. I’m not ashamed to say that I cried when it hit me exactly what you we’re making.

My wife and I lost twins as well, along with every other pregnancy in the last eight years of our marriage. this video was bittersweet for me, you are a wonderful man.

I was hoping these weren't what I thought they were, but the description confirmed my beliefs. These are very beautiful, and I would be proud to have my Mom resting in either of these.
OMG! This was AMAZING! I don't know how you even envision the creations you come up with, but the beauty of the pieces, and the fact they were created from the same base piece of material, I believe does pay a genuine tribute to the twins you created them for. My heart goes out to ANY family who loses a child, but I can't even imagine the pain that would be felt from losing twins. Thank you for sharing such a special tribute and the magnificent work you always seem to do.

Excuisite work Andy, My heart sank when I saw the names being etched & my thoughts are with the parents, I couldn't imagine the anguish.
I too am glad that I read before posting. I cannot image what both of you are going through. There are no words that I can say other than my deepest condolences. I retire tonight, yet again, with a smile on my face watching Andy's work though it's deeply tinged by sadness. The work of a shokunin that is honoring loved ones in a time of loss. I think it's safe to say that all of us here will retire tonight with our hearts and thoughts going out to you both.

Here I was thinking it's merely more of your usual beautiful artwork, and then I see the real purpose. True artistry, from concept to finish.
I didn't read the description, because I love to see the work progress, but I was heartbroken when I realized what they were for. I was actually in a doctors office and started tearing up. Your work is amazing and am happy you were able to help. Keep it up.

Upon seeing the finished product I knew immediately what they were and what they could only be for. I was so sad for the loss of life, but in a way you were part of healing and celebration of life. This was very special. I lost my own 20 week old baby and the sadness for her stays in my heart. Nicely done!
