Jack's song compositions set him apart from most other world class guitarists. It's one thing to be able to shred, but to also have the ability to compose great songs is the mark of a musical genius.
I don't know what other guitar player is playing, they just keep shredding on without soul, just to show skill. This song is melodic and impressive as well, different part of the song gives you a different feel. thumbs up

the truth to being a real guitarist is not about how good you are but it's about the feeling of the song you play and for your own enjoyment and to share this enjoyment and feeling to others not to show off so don't feel discouraged when you see someone who's better than you and younger than you instead you should appreciate them for sharing emotions blended into a single song like this. Other guitarists would truly appreciate this
Heard this back in 2009 or 2010 when I was just starting to get into guitar playing. Still one of my favorite guitar instrumentals to this day. So much soul and emotion.

Jack is in the ranks with the great guitarists. The technique is flawless and the sound is perfect. The musicality is super, as if the sound is water poured from a pitcher, completely fluid and connected, with that flawless technique! Absolutely GREAT work with the composition.

I totally agree, Mike. Just found out about this guy and he's amazing. I'm going to be buying his CD along with the guitar tabs the second I get paid in a week or so. I usually hate guys like Satriani, because they seem to just want to either play really bizarre sounding stuff or play as fast as they can, not really being concerned with melody.

Outstanding !! Melodic with some very tasteful bursts of well articulated speed. Not shred for shred sake. I love it when a musician has the discipline to play with restraint and the sensibility and chops to step out a bit at the right moments. Great tone too. Brilliant playing!!
Drums are from a click track. It's not about the rhythm section, it's about Jack's insane ability to play. Much of Satriani's studio work is with drum click tracks as well.

The COMPOSITION is the most important thing. I can listen to this song all day because the writing is amazing and I love the song. Compared to a band that has put no effort into the arrangement and composition but have amazing production; this would still sound 10x better.
i dont know when it started going down, but really enjoyed the time I learn playing guitar from jamtrack central artists, including JT, around 2012 to 2015. JT was very productive writing songs then. Waiting for him to release new song was so exciting. I really admire him. the Tokyo Trip song, which i heard first time in 2011 if not mistaken, pushed me very much into learning guitar. And more i listen to JT afterward.
nice job! sound is nice and easy to listen to, guitar playing is wonderful, smooth and again easy to listen to. so many guitar players have a sound that is harsh and even if they are good players they "wear me out". I really like this guy.
