I think that this is the best Disney movie. It teaches that you need to work hard for something that you want, and that it won't just be handed to you.
That's only half the lesson tho, this film also teaches people to have fun, live in the moment, and to not just think life is all hard work as well. The beginning of the film most certainly touches on the basis you said but it was a moral lesson to Tiana to also enjoy the magic of life and live in the moment instead of only thinking life was just hard work and turmoil and pain cause that's the life of a black person more specifically in this film A BLACK WOMAN, and her eyes were open to the magic in front of her when she was taken on this unexpected journey and adventure to discovering true love, and that her dad taught her life wasn't about getting all the way there but simply being appreciative and grateful for what you do have in THIS MOMENT and that is what makes this Disney film one of the most iconic films especially having such a beautiful African American/black background and representation within the film as well.

If it had been made twenty years ago, the storytelling would have been better as well. The problem was that the plot got complicated with the transformations, kissing princesses and all. Disney has since gotten better about simplifying storylines, but twenty years ago they would have had a better editor on the script.
Tigerloverme it kind of reminds me of Monsters Inc not gonna lie lol, but that's why I like it (it's quite common for Randy Newman's work to appear in other stuff)
Loved this film, but I remember I was never fond of the title. It’s a toddlers title. The message is empowerment though. You don’t get anything for free, you gotta work hard for it. Something we know seems to be lacking in newer generations.
