I like that you're very honest. The review i watched just before this said it was almost identical. I've never smelled the original but I appreciate that you pointed out that they aren't that close. I do enjoy this scent and I'm happy I got it.
I dont have good experience for the longetivity of maison alhambras perfumes. Yeah! and my wife's opera noir barely last 5-6 hours. But scent wise they are most of the time on point to the original
Everyone's body chemistry is different. Different houses, different ingredients, different mixology, different 'aged' bottles. ALL makes for different results ... on different people. Find out what does & doesn't, work for you. Telling people they are right or wrong about 'the smell', 'the longevity' ... et al. Waste of time. The trick is finding honest reviewers, who have similar taste to yours. And better yet. Similar skin/body chemistry. Btw George. Almost "10'. Keep up to hard work.
I couldn't disagree more. I have 4 Maison Alhambra fragrances and NONE of them are strong performers. The longevity is decent but none of them project worth a damn. And I ALWAYS let my frags macerate for 4-6 weeks in a dark storage cabinet with no the cap on. I stopped buying Maison Alhambra because of this. The scents are very similar to the original which is nice, but they don't project more than an arms length away.

This is the reason i don't buy perfume, works happily pay $10-$20 more if it performed
Try Victorioso its incredibly strong and lasts long
In my opinion there is no reason buying below 2023 release. There is so much clones with better scent and performance in 2023 to now.
