✅ www.indiegogo.com/projects/sirui-24mm-anamorphic-lens/x/25498811 What's up everyone?! I hope this review of the Sirui 24mm anamorphic lens was helpful. Did I cover what you wanted to know? What else did you want to see or learn about. Would love to know what you think. Is this a lens that you would use and why or why not?
I got mine last week, what I have learned from the Facebook group I am in, on the 24mm it might be best to use an oversized nd filter. Seems one guy got some vignetting when he used a 72mm filter. I'm going to go with an 82 and some step-up rings.
Had the 35mm and just bought the 24 and 50mm bundle. Cannot wait to get them out and have a play around with them. Some lovely footage on this that makes me even more excited!
I just discovered your channel and I am so glad I did!! I love your iPad videos because they are teaching me lots about my iPad Air 4 I got for Christmas!!!
Good day. Please tell me how I can connect my sirui anamorphic 24mm 2.8 MFT to the Red Komodo camera or to the BlackMagik 6K? The first camera has a Canon RF mount, and the second has a Canon EF mount
Very informative. Great vid. Thank you. (Q: Does it shoot in anamorphic mode out of the box? Or, do I need to adjust the settings on the lens itself so that it will shoot in anamorphic squeeze?)
This will be my next acquisition. While it's a nice overview, just curious why you didn't bother to show some graded results, as everything has a yellow cast and low contrast? LIKED 👍
Don't know what is it exactly but image on the anamorphic is smt different. can't wrap my head around it. Maybe because of DE squeezing it re locates pixels somewhere else and make the image softer to my eyes. Loved the video BTW
Thx for the video! I got several of the lenses, but am having a bit of de-squeeze trouble. I'm trying to use the Panasonic 5.8k full sensor (4x3) anamorphic mode but can't figure out how to de-squeeze. Seems easy on any standard 16x9 mode. Thx for any thoughts!
Great video my friend. Sorry I was away, on other multiverses... I think these lenses have a lot of personality. Love the image and effects they produce, a lot. Awesome b rolls, as always! You’re a dog lover, aren’t you? Super loved the lighting on the second camera (the one on the side)
Yet another thing i wish I could justify buying, the other being a gimbal. Though, I know for sure I could use a gimbal, but I'm just doing things as a hobby for now. I do like that blue lens flare it gets though. That's cool! 😎
i just got the SIRUI lens for my canon R7 but when i put it on my camera doesn't let me take photo OR video. Everything seems like it works but when i hit record or try to take a photo it simply doesn't do anything.. Is there something i'm missing or a way i can fix this?
As before, beautiful intro and example footage. Great review as always dude, really appreciate your work in this. I’m a little gutted this isn’t in EF mount, it would be awesome on our EVA1. But that being said such incredible value for money. Still undecided which to go for, leaning towards the 35 as the flares seem a little more pronounced and it feels a little more versatile focal range. Great video dude 🙌🍉
Thank you again! Agreed! (Rev EF mount) Would have used it on my c200 or C100mkii. I think they make a really nice set. Glad they released this one. Appreciate your feedback as always 🙏🏻
Hi What about those mounts? Can you please explain which one is the best to get initially and then how to convert to some other mounts? Eg. If I get 50mm with MFT you said it's possible to adapt - how exactly? Additional very important question is now about this 24mm, is it smart to get it with MFT as well and use the same method to adapt to other mounts, like Sony E mount, instead of getting it with E mount originally? Thanks!!!
Not related to this exact video but...Hey i hope that you will be able to reply,i would appreciate it so much. I would love to try myself in the photography but i would still like my pictures to look professional. It would be my first camera. I would take pictures of fast moving objects(my dog that does tricks,MOVES alot, jumps, runs) and i would love to take pictures of her in the motion,in the air,but without blurry photos.I would like them to be clean and sharp. I would also take pictures of her standing still and portraits. At the end i would do animal photography. So my question is which camera you would suggest me that is around 500usd to 600 usd max???
Question: Since it’s 24mm, is it wider field of view than a normal 24mm since it’s anamorphic? (It should be). Maybe closer to field fo view of a 18 or 21mm?
Nice video!!! But i was wondering, i have some doubts regard which telephoto should i buy for my m50, and i dont really know if the 50-200 is worthfit above, for example, a 50-250 ef-s with adapter or a sigma 18-250 with adapter too, so i if you could give me any recommendations of telephotos for my m50 or make a video in the future talking about it, it could be awesome!! Have a nice day
Thanks! I would avoid adapters if I could (unless it was for a far superior lens). It’s another piece of fear and makes the setup bigger. Just my opinion.
I always appreciate anyone who takes the time (especially for free) to do a review on something .. BUT Please please STOP with the explanations of what Anamorphic is! Do you really think someone who’s looking for a review on a particular lens doesn’t actually know what the very concept of that lens is about? They are more likely to just search for the meaning of the term and likely not on RUclips! It’s a bit like looking for a car but not really knowing what a car is! You’re doing exactly what all the other reviewers are doing - just padding out your video because you can’t fill with enough ‘educational’ / quality content. I’d rather see just a 2 minute review that tells me what I need to know than having to skip through and find the bits that are relevant! However, thank you for the video.
I appreciate the perspective and insight. I do think that a lot of beginners will not know what anamorphic means, and I'd rather make sure it's covered for someone who is coming across this for the first time. They may have heard the word but aren't exactly sure. This is pretty much the first line of affordable anamorphic lenses, so unless you've used the much more expensive lenses, I think it's very possible you don't know what it means. Appreciate you watching and contributing to the community.

That drone footage you have with it is 🔥🔥🔥
MTF services is offering the lens converted to RF now! Just bought mine last week! So it works on a Red Komodo ;)
Appreciate you sharing!

Another Great Video from my new favorite tech channel.
Thanks so much 🙏🏻
Really nice overview, the b-roll cinematics is fantastic and your model talent was soo happy! Thank you for another great video! 😎
Thank you for watching and for the feedback. She's always such a good sport.
Wow... really loves the image quality. I also liked no plastic in the build quality.
Thanks Jason. The build quality is impressive

I already have the Sigma 24mm art lens, which is awesome lens.
That Sigma is a fantastic lens!

Hi, do you think is too soft to add a Black Pro-Mist FILTER on it, like the 1/8? Thanks for this video men!
Hi - it really comes down to the look that you want. For me, it wouldn't be too soft (if I'm nailing my focus)
Great video like always but you should have mentioned that it is a manual focus lense.
Good point!
Question: Since it’s 24mm, is it wider field of view than a normal 24mm since it’s anamorphic? (It should be). Maybe closer to field fo view of a 18 or 21mm?
Yes, you will gain width (but not height). Assuming your final output is 2.4:1 ratio of course
Im back!
Eos m100 review!
welcome back!
Thanks for the information. very grateful to you. I'm from Russia.
Welcome!
Nice! How do you get all of this gear? Woah 😮
Thanks! Some companies reach out to me - some I buy.
Nice!
Damn 🔥 Do the anamorphic lens work on a M50?
Yes, you can buy it in EF-M mount. Remember that it’s manual focus.
@@TechGearTalk Oooo, didn't know that! Thanks, as always!
I want one of these, not sure I need it thou ;)
"need" pfffttt 😉
Who is this lens for?
For someone who wants the anamorphic look on a much lower budget than available with any other option. Hope that helps Scott.
@@TechGearTalk so probably not for me. This lens is more for an amateur filmmaker is what you are saying.

👍
Tanks for the video. Your 4 legs family members are beautifull 😉
You're very welcome Andrea! They are little sweeties.
You're the best.
Appreciate you David 🙏
50-60fps - is not cinematic. 24fps - tru.
Yup
The reason I'm watching this bribery is it's your video. I can take a make or break a decision just based on your video
I super grateful for your continued support on all the videos 🙏🏻
Hi:)
Hi
First to see the video
Gold medal! Appreciate you!
You are so beautiful
