The other team is lost forever in darkness, and rightly so.

Luke fully admitted that his TLoU type apocalypse instrument would be a zombie attracting one-man-band suit. There was no way I was choosing him for my crew!

Oh my gosh, Andy and Luke getting right up in their cameras over the guacamole fiasco was the pinnacle of OxBoxtra energy.
With no true shade intended, my understanding of the Zombie Apocalypse ranking: Luke’s very low ranking - chose your scenario Westaway Gambit, or Space Buddies…..we all know Ian’s getting bitten, Johnny’ll have had him exiled first chance he gets, just to keep the bit running. Ellen, the very publicly known and self-confirmed scaredy-cats high ranking - cutest, most loveable meat shield you could ask for, her screams will draw the zombies to her while Jane, Andy, and Johnny (+ Watson, of course) make a clean escape.
You can’t forget the meat shield, if you and your friends haven’t included a meat shield in your plans you are either: a) a group of poor planners, or b) there’s no gentle way to say this, you are your friend’s meat shield.
The absolute offense at Brunch being the wrong answer made my day.

@@khamjaninja. Incidentally, also stateside myself. Our midwestern brunches are a little different from what I think most people consider 'brunch'. More bloody mary's than mimosas, I'd suspect.
I'm honestly not surprised, because unless you live in one of those cities where every restaurant has a brunch menu, it can take more effort to get to brunch than I want to put in on a Lazy Sunday. (Nevermind cooking brunch for yourself when you're in a lazy mood.)
Brunch is just second breakfast.

Fish tacos are kinda big here in California. Those frequently come with guac.
I'm guessing you are mexican too (just because of your name, sorry if i'm wrong) and yeah, that round hurt me, since Jhonny talks about sour cream, I think they're taking about "Tacos Dorados" or some foreing version of Tacos. Guacamole in a taco isn't weird, but for sure it isn't essential.
This is our British interpretation of Mexican food - dump all the Mexican ingredients in a tortilla and call it a day

Wasn't he convinced he'd get in trouble because of his family's disappearance? It's been literally decades since I watched that movie, but I recall Kevin making a lot of questionable choices because he wanted his new living situation to remain a secret from the authorities.

Mike's "more of a managerial role" re: squad structure in a zombie apocalypse didn't even get a giggle and i CACKLED
The Bilbo thing means there are lots of people at the party he doesn't know well and he regrets that, and the people he does know deserve more appreciation from him. What he's saying is that he has high opinions of all of them. The joke he was trying to make is that he delivers the line using negative words like less and don't, and in a gruff tone that implies it means "Ah, your all a bunch of arseholes and I only like some of you", when what he is actually saying is "I love you all and if I didn't take the time to get to know you that's my loss"...the point of the scene being that only Gandalf understands the wordplay, hinting that Bilbo is not only an exceptionally intelligent hobbit, but also a very kind and caring person despite the anti-social nature he projects.

7 minutes in, no gameplay at all and I couldn't be happier. Oxboxtra need to work out how to do a group based stream more often. Hell I'd take Quiplash/Joke Boat/Mario Party on a rotating loop every three weeks.

I think the audience based their zombie team decisions on what y'alls oxventure characters do and lets face it Luke - dob does questionable things.
Also I rewatched the Among Us streams recently and he was always the agent of chaos when he was playing. His tendency to scheme is what causes him to be low on my list.

Cilantro is a must when having fish tacos however. My Dad makes a strawberry salsa that goes sooooo good with fist tacos.
This was a lot of fun to watch. I watched it on a delay because of real life stuff, but even without participating it was still great fun.
I also just caught Luke's muttered "difficult, difficult, lemon difficult" going into the round of "Hello..." and picking them from bottom to top. Nice little In The Loop reference, if that was a reference to it. I think it's from that one; that or the related The Thick of It show.

Weirdly, cilantro’s soap taste is something that comes and goes for me. Sometimes I hate it, sometimes it’s an essential ingredient in spicy salsa...🤷🏻♀️

@@kurofire75 There are surprisingly a lot of proper places that apparently do Mexican food not surprisingly most are down in London. Up here in the northern areas it’s mostly KFC and McDonalds by a large margin (like them vs us spiders 😂)

My fav bit from the whole stream, besides the Tolkien references, was Luke channeling Immortan Joe, that was absolutely hilarious!
For a lot of these games, I feel the audience is given way too much weight. You should be able to set how much the audience is counted as. Examples:
- Each audience member weighted same as players
- Audience collectively weighted as 1 (or 2/3/4) player(s)
Also, for this game specifically: They really need more twists, rather than having them the same every game.
As someone who lives in the southwestern US, listening to a bunch of brits try to figure out tacos was hilarious. Also, hard agree on Fish tacos, easy S-tier.
This was super fun to watch, and would love to see more of it!! I was thinking of watching live, but fell asleep at 2:50am (ten minutes before the start)... my apocalypse team would be Jane (make the end of days bearable), Ellen (with her headshot prowess and adaptability) and Kermit (could use him as a distraction and when the zombies get tired of tossing puppet around he'll come back on his own).
Who voted for Jane as their number one pick in a zombie apocalypse? I recall many a Hitman video where she just traced outlines of intended targets with bullets!

It's now a dream of mine to pronounce "taco" in the American way exactly like you guys. I couldn't stop laughing hearing you all say "taaaco".
The Oxboxtra crew obviously need no reminding on how funny they are, but Johnny is brilliant every time they are in the stream! I love the jackbox streams so much. Keep it up everyone, you're all awesome!
Being from the country that originated tacos, I don’t really mind if other countries take the idea and change it, but I have to say we make tacos from a very wide variety of foods and almost none of those choices or the mixture of those ingredients in a “taco” makes any sense to me.
I mean I think they would all be useful in a zombie apocalypse. Especially in making a settlement. Johnny and Ellen both have a wonderful mix of optimism and pragmatism, so they'd be great at keeping everyone focused on the good stuff while also not letting everyone get complacent, a great trait for leaders. Jane's science knowledge would be all-around useful for all sorts of things, growing food, purifying water, maybe doing something like an electric fence. Mike's knowledge of cars would allow him to either fix a broken one/maintain a working one, so the guard patrols could have an armored car escort. Andy's historical knolwedge would make sure than the past isn't forgotten and that future generations learn from our mistakes. Andy & Luke's musical skill along with Johnn'y painting would bring art back into people's lives, giving them some joy and happiness.
I wish I could like multiple times just for that "tah-co" vs "ta-co" talk.

I don't know how Mike got ranked so low for the zombie apocalypse. Mike ended up being my number one!
- Works well under pressure. He's super chaotic in his Hitman playthroughs and performs well on the spot.
- Wouldn't be scared of zombies. Never scared during horror streams.
- Chaotic. Probably carries bombs with him.
- Good driver. If we found a broken down car I bet he could fix it. He'd also be great at mowing down zombies.
- Might try to hide a zombie bite, but he sucks at lying so I'd figure it out anyway.
- Helpful and good team player, something I picked up on when Mike helped Ellen in Fear Academy.

I'm pretty lazy but I find home improvement with the proper tools relaxing and fun... it's more a thing of can and know how from what I've seen.
Running comments as I watch:
DVDs definitely existed in the 1990s; I graduated college in 1999 and received a DVD player as a gift. But that said, DVDs 2090s would be a much more interesting find.
I read 'bunch of extension cords' as 'bunch of extension cards', and was wondering why people weren't interested in digging through some guys old Magic collection for something rare and valuable.

If you go to church on Sunday, you can't do brunch. Not that I do that, but it makes it easy to get into restaurants Sunday morning.
