One of the most emotional pieces of music I have ever experienced. I was hooked the day I first saw/heard it in a movie theatre and have never looked back.
This is the most beautiful piano piece i've ever heard and still listen to once in a while since i was blown away by it, watching the movie in '88. The spaciousness you feel and hear in it is wonderfull. Absolutely love this!
Listening back to this very good piece of music, it seems to me these are variations on the Schubert theme from the Fantasy in F minor, which is also included in the movie's soundtrack! Yared was nicely inspired. He is one of my favourite modern composers, connecting epochs. Could anyone stay indifferent to the music he composed for "the life of others"?
The single-most perfect film score ever.

The buildup and largeness of sound in the middle of this song reminds me of the dramatic ending of another great "love story."
Very Chopinesque ! This is a wonderful piece.
