I appreciate Dr Suleiman's effort. Urdu is my first language and I'm very happy to see it's getting popular. What makes me even happier is the fact that the couplet (two poem lines in Urdu poetry) that Dr Suleiman read is by Syed Sadiq Hussain, a poet from my beloved Pakistan. This is the couplet that Dr Suleiman read: تندئ بادِ مخالف سے نہ گھبرا اے عقاب یہ تو چلتی ہے تجھے اونچا اڑانے کے لیے Tundi-e baad-e-mukhalif se na ghabra ay uqaab Ye tou chalti hai tujhay ooncha urranay ke liye" Translation: "Don’t fear the intensity of opposing-wind*, O’ Eagle It only blows to help you fly even higher."
@@dm_1236 OMG. You're right! That's why I didn't recall ever reading these lines in Iqbal's poetry and did think the rhythm doesn't quite follow Iqbal's style despite the "eagle" analogy. Thanks for making the correction!

For those who don't know , this is a VERY formal and refined version of Urdu , like Shakespeare version of Urdu. Which is why a lot of the audience couldn't even understand it . The poet whos working he is reciting is Allama Iqbal.
My two favorite Shaykh's of all time. Both Palestinian 🇵🇸 . Love the vibe they have with each other. Learned sooo much from both of them!. May Allah SWT reward them and their families immensely and the entire Ummah. Aameen.

Family... It's important to hold back slanderous comments. And if they cannot be substantiated, we will all be held accountable on the day of judgment. I don't think there is any evidence of him supporting lgbt, he joined a parade of some kind with some people, and I believe he since has spoken about this. But openly supporting them i don't think is true. Once again, we have to be careful when we speak on things online as it's permanent, especially in this month, we don't want to have our ramadan taken from us from these types of sin. We will all stand before Allah.
After speaking When he asked how was it? I was like have you already spoken it?😂😂 I didn't realize as an Urdu speaking person. But second time it was quite good honestly...so cute MashaAllah ❤

Masha’Allah, well done Sheikh Omar. You recited it so well. It is a verse from poetry of Allama Iqbal, national poet of Pakistan. His poetry was aimed at the Muslims of sub continent who were under the rule of British Raj and a minority’s in Hindus majority population. He wanted the Muslim to recognise themselves as Ummat and stand tall and strong as Muslims against oppression and injustice.
He is blessed and beautiful person I have so much love and respect for Him for Allah’s sake….!!!! And BTW Your Urdu is beautiful you did your best and I was able to understand because that’s exactly how my kids speak 😂
