Consuming too much salt can be dangerous for health. Sodium is an essential mineral that the body needs to function properly, but consuming too much of it can increase the risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and other health problems. Salt is the primary source of sodium in the diet, and many people consume more salt than they need. The American Heart Association recommends that adults limit their sodium intake to no more than 2,300 milligrams per day, and ideally, aim for no more than 1,500 milligrams per day.
High salt intake can also contribute to other health problems such as osteoporosis, kidney disease, and stomach cancer. Consuming too much salt can cause the body to retain excess water, which can lead to swelling and fluid buildup, particularly in people with heart or kidney problems.
Reducing salt intake can be challenging since many processed and packaged foods contain high levels of salt. It's important to read food labels carefully and choose lower-sodium options when possible. Increasing intake of fresh fruits and vegetables, which are naturally low in sodium, can also help to balance out the diet.

Useful Awareness ....but in my readings of medical books I,ve learnt that Restricting of salt must be for Salt Sensitive patients only not for all as a general practice of salt restrictions
Hope u agree with this notion of experts in medicine
