"Worry less about the subtle differences (between running on a treadmill or running outside) and focus more on just putting in the work and pushing yourself."
Great advice. I think this is true for a lot of things in life often times we focus on the nitty-gritty of things, try and research every single thing about it, for example, how do I get the perfect form for a particular exercise or what is the best way to learn a skill. I found my self doing this a lot before. Sometimes you just have to tell yourself to shut up, stop asking too many questions and just put in the hard work.
Person X can be running outside and putting minimal effort whereas person Y could be running on the treadmill and working 10x times harder. The results would speak for themselves.
    Mindset is everything. #MambaMentality

I gotta say that ever since I found your video about the JT workout, my match fitness level has gone way up. I'm 54 years old, and got back into soccer in 2020 when I was locked out of the gym. The 11-aside leagues didn't open until July 2021 in my area, and then I found that I didn't have the stamina to do a full 90-minutes. Then, I got COVID and was afraid I would never be able to play soccer again due to being short of breath for about 10 days after I got over the COVID. Got back stateside, started doing the JT workout, and within 2-3 weeks was the fittest guy on my team. Thanks for your excellent videos.

The mixed results here make some sense to me...
Sprinting: When I am on the treadmill going as fast as possible, It feels, more unnatural, thus I think my body is working harder than just outside (even at the same speed)
Slow Jog: This makes some sense because I feel that going slow outside, although you aren’t moving fast, there are still little things, u look out for like bumps and obstacles. Slow jogging on a treadmill, just psychologically seems easier
Endurance: I think the outside getting the upper hand here makes sense again because people aren’t usually doing 1 hour long runs on a treadmill. People do that outside more
Just my thoughts. I could be totally wrong

Running in a forest gives hellaa energy boost tho, also its easier outside to go for a certain distance because you know where the end will be and you must finish your run. However on a threadmill you only see the time and distance on your screen. For example if i went for a sprint i would think when i reach that tree i have completed my sprint. Time on a threadmill just doesnt pass because nothing around us changes

In winter going outside is not a realistic option where I live. So I find myself only going outside during the summer and fall. The fields are usually pretty horribly wet most of spring and or left-over dog crap from the winter can be scattered about fields I visit. Treadmills are time convenient if you have one at home, but do require a bit of maintenance as time goes on. Unfortunately, I think mine is nearing the end of its life. One disadvantage with treadmills is that some have a lower speed cap, while running outside won't have that limitation. I've been interested in manual curved treadmills, but retail versions of them are not readily available as they come at steep commercial prices.
In the end, I would say it's best to take advantage of both if possible. Running outside is more versatile, but treadmills can potentially offer more convenience.

    • @ojsenessie5692
      @ojsenessie5692 Год назад

From pro environment in England usually Matchday would involve:
      Massages, mobility, stretches
      Cycling (if available)
Dynamic stretching, HR increase , mobilisation
      Basic ball work and SAQ
      team talk
      More intense passing and SAQ
Final stretches, last touches etc (personal to players)
      Game starts
Foam rolling is a good cheap alternative to massages and many players can do it at once. Small resistance band work is also useful. Many pros use foam rollers but now massage guns are more popular that’s an option too.

Running outside you have to drive weight forward. You can lean and gravity do some work and that may help with keeping form similar to treadmill running
But the biggest difference should accelerating from zero. That has to be totally different going from treadmill to outside. Treadmill is already moving.
