I have a westie they are the best dogs ever
If you know a little bit about Westies, trimming machine is not recommended because it may cause ingrown hair. Stripping is the best option for this breed.
I know a little bit about westies...did you read a tittle? ;) its not Westie, its MIX Westie. His coat its not for hand stripping
he is perfect like all westies , yet i prefer the fluffy westie face that makes them so special and so goofy and sweet . one can see it's a mixed breed yet i think that she could have managed to get just a little bit of fluffiness :) it's an westie characteristic that makes them uniquely ADORABLE !

First of all, its not westie. Its westie MIX so his coat is not like westie coat. Soft hair not suitable for hand stripping.
Hand stripping is merely deshedding blown coat. Cutting length does no damage. Just De shed as well

We have two Westies!! One female and one male!! We like to keep their coats short and not at all like you see other Westies cut! It keeps down on the dirt and tangles and also lets them dig and get into mischief!! After all they are Terriors if you understand the word!!

Really don’t think you holding the dogs chin is very nice
That is very common for groomers to do. It prevents the dog from turning as much. As you can see the scissors are long and pointy and would hurt them if it poked them in the eyes etc. it is used by very many groomers to prevent the dog from getting injured
@@veronica123jade3 exactly! Don’t know how people can’t think of that themselves, it’s much better to firmly hold the chin to keep the head in place than to accidentally injure the dog - and people think it’s mean! 🤦🏻♀️

OMG! That is not a professional Westie cut! That poor dog, why would you show this on RUclips, you are not even holding the dog with kindness, now wonder the poor thing is shaking you should be ashamed of yourself. I hope you are not charging people!! you should watch the other lady who grooms (not hacks) with love. You haven't even given the Westie a proper carrot tail cut. I would definitely have you given me money if that was my poor Westie let loose on you. Definitely need training on how to properly groom a Westie.
My gosh, she stated in the title of the video that he’s a mix, not a pure Westie, she can style him however she wants - she doesn’t claim to be giving the dog a Westie cut let alone a “standard” cut which is typically unrealistic for everyday people to maintain anyway, the dog was fine - you need to be firm when handling them because fussing around while you are using sharp scissors is dangerous and even then, she was in no way rough. She has nothing to be ashamed about.
