Hi, yeh I mean some not all. We predominantly communicate via technology and comments with strangers on topics where I feel nuance is lost and we have to make our point in the least amount of words possible and include disclaimers to appease any ambiguity. I’m not ve ey good at this 😅
Awesome - Konstantin is so articulate it puts pretty much every Brit to shame, knows what he thinks and not a single hesitation. The applause toward the end is proof that most people are still (despite all the woke nonsense we've suffered for the last 10yrs) still can dig deep and agree with common sense. This gives me hope.
He is speaking out loud what we used to take as common sense twenty or thirty yrs ago but somehow became too toxic or politically incorrect to say anymore I'm saying this as a millennial
@@vinniechan agreed, though I'm developing an allergy to "as a" - everytime we use it it reinforces divisions - as a person of colour, as a englishman, as a trans. Your statement is just as correct regardless of whether you're a millenial or not ;)
He was awful here. You think because he tries to pre-empt criticism by protesting "This is not appeasement!" that he's not espousing capitulation and appeasement?
This is a wonderful example of ‘establishment’ intellectuals/pundits/etc being totally outclassed by a genuinely informed and intelligent person from ‘outside’ the established spaces. Konstantin is so good because he is probably the one person on the panel who genuinely doesn’t care what people think of him. That liberates him to be honest and truthful.
He conveniently ignored the fact that fascist militias are operating alongside the official Ukrainian army and have been doing so for years. Go and look at the Vice channel video from 2016 about them. NATO and the American government are also responsible for this situation. Ukrainian leaders are just puppets. Pawns in their game. He's lying when he says Russian people do not value life. Disgusting liar. I've been to Russia several times and worked there and know that not to be true
"Konstantin is so good because he is probably the one person on the panel who genuinely doesn’t care what people think of him." Exactly! Well said. Politicians and the like just spout off emotional talking points that they think we want to hear. Then rinse and repeat. Nothing with any real substance to it or that would back them in a political corner. Best to stay vague as possible yet sound emotional by yelling meaningless vapid platitudes.
@@nickgoesvestmode he talks alot of garbage too. He conveniently ignored the fact that right now, and for years previously that fascist militias are operating alongside the Ukrainian army. Go and look at the Vice channel video from 2016 about them. Ukraine unfortunately has a long history of fascism. Research the massacres they committed in Poland during WW2. Fascist militias fought alongside the Nazis then, jumped ship to fight alongside the French resistance then fought against their own. A neutral Ukraine is the only solution to this
@@paintsilj I don't know enough about the fascist militias to comment, but you seem to have misunderstood Konstantin's meaning when he said that Russian people do not value life. He was not talking about the average person on the street - the individuals you met during your visits - he was talking about the establishment. And he was talking about the broad values and philosophies that underpin Russian culture with regard to things like individuality, personal expression and liberty - the way in which such values differ between the USSR and, say, the US or UK. You are confusing the individual with the collective. They are not the same. I respect that you feel strongly about this, but it is important that you calm your ire enough to understand what is being said.
My dad hates QT due to the relentless BS. Whilst my mum was watching this, he sat in the other room doing his puzzle and whenever u spoke he shouted ‘whoever that bloke is, he’s most honest straight talking person that show has ever hosted’. I agreed. You were brilliant.

Those awkward silences from the panel after Konstantin delivered a truth that they all ultimately knew but didn't have the courage to say or really admit. Bravo, sir. Bravo.
Konstantin was brilliant from the get go. His obvious emotional attachment to the hard truths he spoke demonstrates his authenticity and regret at how things are and sadness in his family being caught up in it all. I bristled when I saw him being referred to a comedian -- while he is one, he was the most serious person on the panel.

That Scottish MP is the problem we are all experiencing throughout the world, how do these people get in to these positions , frightening. Well done KK
It all starts in school. Producing nothing but indoctrinated children who vote for incompetent politicians disguised in a camouflage of being kind, good and for the people.
The Scottish MP is a typical lefty that lives in a fantasy world . If the reality of war hit her she would soon realise the taste of the shit coming out of her mouth.
They get into power the same way as almost every other politician - by lies and deceit. The SNP have lost a huge number of members by their change of direction over independence. This QT was a pattern for the future - they need to get panellists on who are committed to their subjects and are knowledgeable.
As an Eastern European I love the West for the freedom of speech. I have to say though there have been massive steps back on that front. Whether it’s direct censorship or self-censorship due to fears of being cancelled, it’s appalling how people are afraid to truthfully say their thoughts. Thank God for Konstanin and Triggernometry for saying things as they are!
We don't have free speech here. That woman was talking about how Russia can't hide information from their citizens thanks to the internet, but our leaders are doing a great job of doing just that here. Any dissent from the narrative on social media is suppressed, there's no real journalism at all, they all follow the same narrative, it makes me sick that they pretend we have free speech and a free press.
Only Elon Musk believes in "freedom of speech". Any news and views not consistent with our government's narrative has indeed been heavily sanctioned...e.g. banning of RT, banning of MPs and student bodies voicing opinions against NATO, etc
We have freedom of speech in the sense that we have the freedom to criticise the government. The trouble with a free society is that it assumes its own freedom after a while and takes for granted its ancient liberties. When its citizens remember their history poorly- or worse, are encouraged to learn it in a distorted form- the people at the top start wondering whether we really need these freedoms anymore. Hopefully, with our patience being tested to the limit with the pandemic we will see some pushback.
I could feel Konstantin's facepalm re the Scottish comments way over here in Holland... Great job KK, we need MUCH more of your insights and realism in this day and age. KK for prez! 😄
I can't wait for it to one day come to light that this is two corrupt governments at war. Ukraine's government is no saint. The money-laundering alone proves this. Unfortunately the Ukrainian and Russian people are caught in the middle of corruption.
So refreshing to hear from a native Russian who actually understands the situation in Russia. As someone who regularly visits Russia and is married to one, I can vouch for what he’s saying and unfortunately the average westerner cannot even fathom what Konstantin is talking about.
I'm an Aussie that crossed class boundaries - impoverished working class to secure middle class. Imo, these Westerners think that everybody thinks like them, wants what they want etc. KK brings a refreshing approach - not every society is the same with people with the same values. I saw this personally teaching Arabic background kids. Two gangs fought, a boy was killed. Revenge and honour overroad everything. This included mothers, sisters and girlfriends supporting the "honour" trail. These were basically good people, by "gang" I mean normal young male behaviour bonded together. Just normal kind of scuffles, but making a bad decision around knives. Basically good teenage boys make bad decisions sometimes. If they're lucky they live to learn from it. Not usually illegal e.g. not drugs, stealing etc. (1990s) Reminded me a lot of my mother's working class people who sent money back to support the IRA inthe Troubles in Ireland. Sometimes even mothers seeing their sons die for a cause is worth it. Think Australians WW1! I don't agree but then I've never been in that position and my "backs never been against the wall" as the expression goes.
As a foreigner living in China, I understand the idea that eventually the population will wake up and see reality for what it is is just Western polyannaish thinking. The first thing to understand about totalitarian societies is not that information is limited, which of course it is, but that critical reasoning abilities are repressed, so that even if the people had access to information that contradicts state propaganda, they simply wouldn't know how to process it. It's like expecting children to stand up and take charge. They're kept in an arrested state of development, so that the leaders can get away with every crime and every lie they want without the slightest backlash.
@@deathrides4756 As dumb as many people in the UK are, you only have to turn on UK TV nowadays to see that, they still have a scintilla of reasoning powers and will certainly stand up for themselves if they feel the government is oppressing them. That's another big difference, we can separate out the government from the country, because in democratic societies governments change so often. Not true is authoritarian societies, where to be against the government is to be against your 'motherland'.

@@HFFCANADA You can delude yourself all you like. In the first place, the only thing, quite obviously, that would be "negotiated" is how much of Ukrainian sovereign land that the Russian dictatorship seized by force they get to keep. And since the stronger party, on your own admission, would effectively dictate terms, quite obviously again, the "negotiations" would be as unequal as the war. But the main way you delude yourself is with your analogy to Poland. Kissin's treacherous view is that first the democracies must abandon Ukraine, and stop arming them, effectively forcing them to capitulate, excuse me, "negotiate". That would render Ukraine even worse off than Poland in 1939. But that's Kissin's preference, the critical betrayal he urges with utterly zero argument. There is no reason in the world, whether moral or real politik, to reduce Ukraine to that helpless state, which is why Kissin didn't dare attempt to provide any.

Listening to the Scottish woman... I understand where she's coming from. There's a very deep sense inside of me that wishes the Manhattan project had never happened. I think most rational people feel this way; however, operating from that sense is naive. Pandora's box was opened before most of us were even born. We simply have to live with it, and I completely agree with Konstantin's facial expressions during her speech.
The risk was allowing Hitler or Stalin to get it first. What do you think would have happened then? The mistake the West made was being too generous in 1945 and not following Churchills advice of attacking Russia after they broke the Poland free elections promise. Back then only the West had nuclear weapons. If it was the other way around the Russians would have taken advantage of the situation
The thing is as well, if Pandora's Box hadn't been opened at that time in that context, it would still, with 100% certainty, have been opened sooner or later. The principles behind nuclear weapons are not some special, seperate thing that you can lock in a box and throw away the key. The knowledge is fundamentally woven into the structure of the universe. If you study the way the world works, and you inevitably get down to the level of studying the structure of matter itself, then you _can't avoid_ discovering the principles of nuclear weapons. If we could make every nuclear weapon, and every textbook about making them, disappear tomorrow, then sooner rather than later, somebody would work it out again from first principles.

As an Eastern European I love the West for the freedom of speech. I have to say though there have been massive steps back on that front. Thank God for Konstanin and Triggernometry for saying things as they are!
There is very little free speech remaining in the West.
@@fiizzy3884 could not agree more. Thank you.

Reminded me a lot of my mother's working class people who sent money back to support the IRA inthe Troubles in Ireland.

Wow. That was what we call mopping the floor. Direct. Without arrogance. You killed it buddy. Much respect from 🇨🇦.
She makes me ashamed to be Scottish. They dont like it but the SNP do NOT speak for all of us.
I am a Scot too and the fact that people like her have reached positions of authority ashames me. I am thoroughly a supporter of independence and that will never change. The SNP used to be a sign of hope of our freedom but they have become a joke. They care more about woke quotas that have rendered themselves weak and highly feminised. We have no need to be ruled by fat women who have lived easy lives of luxury, even having anglicised accents, who are bent on making us weak and “nice”. Imagine if we were being shelled, do you really think she would stay and fight? Absolutely not. Scots were once renowned for being ferocious warriors and brave men. That’s who we need as leaders.
@@TrueNativeScot We can (I hope) respectfully disagree about independence, while agreeing that many years of SNP government have led to nothing but a diminished Scotland. I'm very proud to be Scottish, and British. In every sphere they control, health (I work for the NHS), education, industrial development and infrastructure etc, things just get worse while the Scottish Government agonises about personal pronouns.
What a GREAT job KK!!! My heart goes out to you, your family and everyone in Ukraine. So proud to be a part of Triggernometry!
I watched this episode and found him very insightful, measured and balanced.
So inspiring to listen to you. Unfortunately, there are many living in a dream world instead of facing reality as you so courageously are.
The fact the Scottish MP religiously held to the same course of action that landed Ukraine in this mess should tell you all you need to know.
I've watched this twice through. Brilliant. It just proves that so many people in the West, especially those on the panel and in the audience, have no idea what's really going on.
Excellent comment about the negotiation table for Ukraine, thanks!
Konstantin always does unbelievably well on mainstream TV in dealing with hostile characters, spectacularly ignorant yet smug talking heads, manipulative editing and underwhelming intelligence all round him. Well done. Always impressive, thumbs up.
You're a top bloke, Konstantin. I admire your bravery and I admire your realism. I am glad we have you here to tell us how it is. Keep strong, sir.
Konstantin, you came off as absolutely brilliant and passionate. Loved this.
@Fiona interesting and thoughtful retort. Did you put that together yourself?
Finally someone who gets it and is making sense!!
Love your stuff Keep it up!
Konstantin, you were absolutely stellar. Thank you for your sound analysis und balanced point of view, I sincerely hope your family is going to be safe as soon as possible.
That was brilliant. Lucid, honest, sane and morally courageous. What a fine fellow.
Well done Konstantin, very well done.
Konstantin you truly are the voice of logic, lived experience and total reason I admire you wholeheartedly and I believe the UK is richer for your presence here , God bless you.
How is it? That this comedian makes 1000x more sense than any politician I have ever heard speaking.
Bc he doesn't need to be elected.
The most articulate, knowledgable and sensible contribution to the question of what can realistically be done to sort out this war in the Ukraine. Well done.
Someone talking honestly, candidly, and to the point - Fiona Bruce left completely flustered, as this kind of response is so rarely encountered by panel hosts. If more politicians and commentators adopted Konstantin's approach, I think the public would have far greater respect for them, and faith in them.
Fiona Bruce and the other BBC robots react to the truth with the upper class BBC outrage and fluster that only signals a sense of self importance that is completely unjustified made out of a glass house they created. Shatter the narrative they have created and watch the rats flee.
Legacy media is dying. Everybody knows it
Powerfully delivered contributions Konstantin. Well done.
Wow. It’s refreshing to see someone speak with such clarity, honesty, and insight on this issue. Much respect to you sir.
I have always enjoyed your show but you have now raised your game to a whole other level. Clear concise and informed. You wont have the appetite for it but you run for office. Respect!
Dude, you kept your shit together really well
Well said, Konstantin !! No-one else has the guts to tell the truth.
I'm so pleased you put this out as I was wondering how I could watch you on Newsnight without watching the BBC directly. Brilliant, Konstantin, you explain everything so succinctly and with great clarity. Best wishes to you and your family.
The lady who says that a Western country should give up nuclear deterrence while Putin and Xi and other totalitarian states keep building up theirs is absolutely ludicrous. It astounds me that logic is not taught to some people. Konstantin is right on this. That was one of the fatal mistakes of Ukraine.
When you believe the world is populated by those who have mutual respect, rather than those who chose office seeking power and control.
@@RuneRelic exactly. Her reasoning does make sense in a rational world with only "good actors" or at least if the whole world was operating with the same framework as the Western democracies. Sadly, this isn't yet the world we live in. We still live in the world of the "Melian Dialogue".
@@Draclord35 i.e. Utopia. As unrealistic now as when Utopia was written 500 years ago. Also it's wrong to think that the framework of Western democracies is any different or consists of good actors. Explain the invasion of Iraq. The bloody mess created and sustained in Syria for a decade. Etc. etc. As a matter of fact, Bush, Obama and Biden have more blood on their hands than Putin so far - a lot more dead, wounded, and people whose children, parents, spouses, friends and relative have been killed or mutilated.
It would be extremely hard to find a workplace, institution or political party populated only with good actors. Why on earth do some persist in stating that world or regional leaders would be any different when all the evidence points to the contrary?
She knows that an independent Scotland would still be hiding under an English or NATO nuclear umbrella. Even if they left NATO. It's simple geography. Would we just stand by and watch a Russian (or any foreign) occupation of Scotland? Of course not. And the same goes for the Republic of Ireland.
Good for you KK giving the SNP a lesson in common sense... it's about time someone did.
@J Agreed. I dont believe that any real, Intelligent, scots voted for them.
@@thomasrobertson5453 Well as a scot who is real and hopefully intelligent, i figured they were better than the looneys we've had in downing street for the past 10+ years. I felt in 2014 that independence was the right move because everything at westminster seemed to be going on a downward spiral (i was right on that, at least). Unfortunately, politics have gone tits up both sides of the border and i don't really know who i'd vote for in the next election
I like the way these people assume all British people support Ukraine because most don't.
Can't imagine how much stress KK is under..Wife 7 months pregnant, family fleeing Ukraine🙏.You are the voice we need at this crazy time, thank you ❤
@Fiona You are denser than a black hole.
@Fiona inhuman - he was emotional - but not 'over' emotional
I loved how he went from chocking up for the Ukrainians to hard to swallow truths. Being emotional has its role and we shouldn't be ashamed of it, but at the end of the day, being honest and hard will save lives.
I think when comedians are serious everyone listens a little bit harder, hangs on every word and those words sink much deeper into their minds.
I appreciate you Konstantin, God bless.
I look forward to Paddy Mcguinness next week then
Didn't know Paddy McGuiness was a comedian...
He always talks clearly and without spin. Gotta love him.
You did yourself & our country proud my son, i for one am very impressed & also proud of you as a British man whom has lived extensively in Russia, the clarity & realism you afforded people to see was & is exactly what's required, this is what happens when somebody actually tells the truth.
I think Kisin moved to the UK in 1995 as a what 12-13 year old... I am unsure just what extensive insight he can provide on Russia
@@98091238 did you not hear what he said? .. family in Ukraine
@@maz59 would explain his anti-Russian views
Thank you for this. I couldn't watch beyond the first 10 or so minutes because of the shocking ignorance of most of the other guests. KK, you schooled them all. Well done.
Strewth I would have expected question time always a loaded deck wher the Audience are concerned
O
One of the most legitimately real and impressive bits of public speaking I have seen in a long time. Great work man.
Brilliant and you said this ten months ago 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Amazing statements, excellent succinct points. Hope your family and friends are okay.
Its not Naïve, its pre unadulterated STUPIDITY. I live in Scotland and these SNP Morons are dangerous!!!
@@thomasrobertson5453 If there's one thing good to come out of this war it's hopefully the death of woke nonsense and that the SNP has reached its peak
@@tad555 Agreed, also General Patton.
I had thought my admiration for you KK through this couldn't be higher. You are credit to your family and your ideals. Much love brother.
Bloody brilliant Konstantin….. I watch Triggernometry and love the channels content ……but right now….. I am so proud of YOU mate….. and I stand with you…… 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪 Honestly, you did so well on every front. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
