- “Faith In Tomorrow” goes out to anyone who’s suffering in any way. It’s an anthem about hope and resilience to power us through our struggles. I wrote and recorded the song while taking care of my father as he was battling cancer. He lived out his last days with as much love as he could muster. Watching him transform his pain into love changed me forever.
In creating the video, I wanted to speak on the state of America to shine a light on our collective pain. You don't have to look very far to find it. It manifests in many forms in all walks of life. My hope is that we can all begin to recognize the pain in each other and transform it into love."

Cobi; my condolences to you on loosing your dad. such a beautiful song with touching lyrics and your voice propels the very essence of your pain and suffering and tribute to your father. I love music for last 60 plus years and if i like a song i will play it 3 times in a row and if it passes the test it is a winner-and yours does not disappoint. my wife of 37.5 years died of pancreatic cancer stage IV on March 20,2018-consumed her in 2 months. She was God's gift to me-she had grace, humility, compassion, kindness, understanding, giving, forgiving, loved animals, took care of everyone before she took care of herself. I was Blessed to have had her in my life and sharing some 13 rescued cats and one canine along the way. She could talk to the animals-the birds, cats , skunks, racoons.. her soft pleasing voice and laugher i miss. She cooked, cleaned house, worked in her garden- never drove a car, bicycled 20 miles or walked 6 or 7 miles. Always prepared. I just listened to your song and you.. You have amazing talent and presence. With God you will succeed to becoming a star. You have a beautiful family.. May God continue to Bless you.. never quit or give up on your dream.

I am trying to wrap my mind around the devastation in CA, OR and WA right now with the wildfires. I got evacuated in southern Oregon for several days and the damage is unfathomable. The smoke is toxic and trying to stay positive with this and everything else 2020 has thrown at us. Your music and message of hope are inspiring 💜

Another beautiful song. How grateful we are that we got to see you play this year. I, too, have been weary and full or sorrow at times but I feel strangely awake. The pain of a family loss, the reality of a country that has oppressed, marginalized and turned it's back on so many. My eyes have been opened by what I witness in your city, my city and so many others. I gather strength in the glimmers of good i see happening. I see action being taken and I have become an active participant in demanding change. Even in the isolation this pandemic creates, I am making connections, taking action for those who can't and for myself. It is through moving through the ugly, the sad, the gritty together and demanding equity and justice and honoring our worth that we can have restoration or deepening of faith in each other, humanity, higher power and ourselves. So I continue to hold close and soak up all the love in my life so that I remain open to receive love, give love and be love. I lost my nan to cancer on the 3rd of January. Love was the only thing keeping her here after she lost the love of her life (my grandad) 25 years ago. I know they are back together now where they belong. Thank you for giving me the strength to get through the sorrow

this song speaks to my soul. Dealing with some frustrating family issues. They just.. can't see it. They see accusations instead of understanding. They live outside of reality and trying to educate and wake up the older generation is the hardest thing to do. I'm losing my family in this process. I'm losing faith in them and this country. I dont know what to do anymore.

I'm sorry to hear anyone in that tough spot we've all probably found ourselves in more than once in this life. It's one of the hardest spots we'll go through, just not knowing what to do anymore, with ourselves, our loved one's, our problems in desperation of a solution somehow, some way. It's hard to keep faith and even harder to keep or even find any peace of mind if only for a moment. I know that feeling all too well myself so I couldn't help but reach back out to you and God willing give some support, a little bit of encouragement and show a little love. Just bear with me for a second on this: lol
Have you ever heard "marriage's where the couple's never fight, argue, have heated debates or ever strongly disagree with each other are the unhealthy marriage's and the couple's who sometimes fight and get in arguments with each other are actually the healthy relationships" or something similar and better written to that before? It really is the truth but that's not at all the only types of relationships that completely qualify under that. If you "really" truly and ultimately care about someone with every single piece of your heart, you WILL get upset, you WILL truly feel hurt and anger and every other emotion that's too strong for any of us mortals to be able to cope with, compensate for, or in all honesty even comprehend. lol So naturally families (at least the more healthier ones) are absolutely going to fight and argue like their lives are on the line or something. Do not get me wrong, family's.... SUCK! lol Especially -some- ... Well I guess MOST do actually lol BUT at least it really is completely, totally and WHOLE heartedly out of LOVE/loving each other sooo much, feeling like too much -sometimes- most of the time. I think the best medicine for not just with family but most things in this life is to practice light-mindedness/being easy-going by not taking things SO serious and not letting anything other people do or say bother you or change YOUR happiness. This isn't exactly just "advise for you" specifically either per se, it's advise I'd give to anybody or any family. Another thing though that I really think might maybe help you with the weight of the world and YOUR family is giving you a breif perspective of my own personal problems with MINE. My family is NOT one of those more healthier kinds of families, they aren't with me at least. They use to actually care once upon a long time ago but now I get only silence, I mean complete and total silence even with/while I constantly ..reach out so to speak, waiting for them to get over .. themselves I suppose and for thing's including them and us to just be normal again, for them to just be my family again. Just only a few days ago I decided and promised myself from then on to finally STOP trying and just giving it up already. Did too good a job keeping faith in them and the bond a family SHOULD have, that we once had. Where along the way (my sister's) changed and Metamorphosis into someone that doesn't want, let alone need their baby sister in their lives but I can only imagine it had to be during a time period that was literally the darkest I ever had, for certain will ever have for the rest of my life and what the rest of the world has only experienced right before waking up in bed drenched in sweat. I had the worst malpractice a person could ever have done to me and it went on (I was just as deep in it) for almost 3 year's and it's honestly* a miracle I made it through. It FORCED me to completely stop my life, literally put everything on hold and I mean everything AND completely stopped.. even abilities of simply speaking or eating.. EVERYTHING and 3 year's of terrifying surgery's to try fixing all the damage done DURING the malpractice, not even the malpractice itself. Because of love it wasn't just a dark time for me but for my family too having to see me SO victimized like I was. They probably cried as much as I did FOR me. It's like during that time (through surgery after surgery, waiting and waiting and waiting) their lives continued on without me in it, like I passed away, as if I literally died during that battle. Now.. their lives simply remain the same way, as if I'm dead. It's been a couple year's now since finally rising from those ashes and STILL, it remains the same. They're normal with each other but I've had a lot of practice at making sure that ANY other person does not and can not determine nor control MY happiness. lol My happiness belongs to me only and true happiness can only come from oneself, from within. Now I'm not saying I want my family driving me crazy right now either by jumping down my throat, arguing, judging, fussing or lecturing about thing's they usually know absolutely nothing about.. but being only one or the other between crazy and basically already dead to them I'd definitely choose crazy-ville IF I actually HAD the choice but sadly "I" don't and I'm ok with that because thank God I have Serenity, courage and wisdom. I love them and miss them SO much, with every piece of my heart and THAT will never change, it is quite literally unconditional. I'll be forever grateful the day I exist and maybe matter in their life again though.
So if nothing else I hope AT LEAST maybe a different perspective in another's particular context will help a little with the weight you've been feeling from the problems with your family and maybe even the weight of world too. lol I'm sure you've thought "so much for "brief" part" 😂 but believe it or not that WAS the breif version. 🤣 🤷🏻♀️ 🤣 I really hope this helps you in some way, shape or form because 1. I care and 2. lol It took a lot longer to write than I ever thought it would. 😂 lol 🤦🏻♀️Anyways, ha

I loved listening to this song when I had to commute to another town for clinic for school/my degree. It was for a healthcare hospital internship and I wasn’t getting paid for those LONG months. It felt like forever and I was working 6-7 days a week with the extra 45 minute commute one way. Every single time I hear this song it reminds me of that long journey and thinking back I appreciate every minute of it. I sometimes even feel like going back in a weird way, because that was my life and it shaped who I am today.

I too lost my much loved dad to cancer, he was only 52 and never got to meet any of his grandchildren despite having delivered thousands of babies as a doctor throughout his career.
