I got this on a whim and the concealer has been an unexpected blessing I can’t stop using it just enough coverage, color is good, easy to apply, stays all day, somewhat blurring and non fussy. I hate the price but I have tried tons and non have been this easy and just good at doing the job for my 36yr old dry skin.
My 49yr old under eyes love this concealer. It’s beautiful. Great coverage, lovely finish. Minor creasing few minutes after application, then once that is tapped out….doesn’t crease remainder of day. A little goes a long way. 2 small dots is all I use. Also, layers on top of itself well if you do need to retouch later in the day.
You are my absolute favorite beauty RUclipsr! Your reviews are always so thorough and help put things in perspective! By the end of every video I always know whether or not something is for me! Love you❤
I super appreciate that you did this real and honest review. The brand had me intrigued, but the price tag was pretty intimidating. When I swatched items in Sephora recently I was honestly underwhelmed…it’s nice to hear another viewpoint on the brand. I think I’ll be holding off for something better.
They seem to think we need a exfoliating lip balm their is actually a lot of balms all the sudden with lactic acid in it . I have this one in my cart and I am debating because I have heard a lot of great things but then my lips are incredibly sensitive and even the Ole Hendrickson balms burn my lips.
I think lactic acid is also commonly used as a formula pH adjuster. I’ve read it can be hydrating at low percentages - it does more than one thing. I am very wary of exfoliating acids - I would be curious what a cosmetic chemist says about it.
I was worried about the Eadem balms for the lactic acid too. I’ve seen Dr. Idris talk about how glycolic acid is a great gentle exfoliator/hydrator for lips, so I’m wondering if the lactic acid serves a similar purpose?
With lactic acid as with other ingredients, everything depends on the concentration. It can be softening and moisturizing. Depending on the acid concentration, it will have different uses and if it's low it doesn't make you sensitive to the sun.

Custom plastic packaging, but Gucci's is custom, engraved, metal. I feel like the price point doesn't make sense for the facts of the brand aesthetic and the seeming lack of general/ public awareness of who she is, and, evidently, the actual product quality.
@@pb_and_nutella THANK YOU for saying this. The names felt pretty cringey to me. And, I would consider myself well versed in makeup brands and products, and I have no clue who Sarah Creal is. The whole thing just feels like it lacks self-awareness.
I'm 55 years old, but I'm clearly not their customer. I pretty much use the Tower 28 concealer as they're intending their complexion product to be used. I mix it with moisturizer or eye cream as needed for lighter coverage and/or more moisture.
Gotta say this concealer on my 57 year young under eyes is absolutely wonderful. Thank you for validating that us older women sometimes pay more, or so it seems.
I’m just gonna say…the foundcealer looks literally amazing like I might need to have a go with it 😍 let’s go Sephora savings event! Would not pay 58 lol
The speed with which I clicked on this video... I was so hoping you would review this makeup!!! I love the name of the lip balm so much, but holy gucci prices.... look... I have one single lip gloss that I'm willing to spend that amount of money on and I will only get it for myself on special occasions, otherwise I'm all about saving where I can. I'm still very curious about these products though lol
I know you aren’t covering this today but tried the lys foundation stick! I’m almost 70 and that product is fabulous. It’s glowy, smooth and stays put without creasing. Great product. Thanks

Same with skincare. I do not look forward to how pricy my skincare and cosmetic lifestyle is gonna cost me in the future.
I’m 52 years old and I WISH I had been opened to lower priced makeup. A lot of us with mature skin are realizing that Tower 28:concealer works great for us. I trusted a suggestion from a Sephora team member and they were right!
@@DAHLLYEVE My skin, at 39, has never looked better than when I began integrating items from the drugstore. Vanicream is the best ever, e.l.f. makes a great tubing mascara. I’m almost 60 and there is no need to spend anymore money then you always did. The same anti-aging ingredients as always and complexion products that smooth and are plumping to the skin. Foundation formulas are getting better and better in general. Companies will continue to fight for our money as always. So my point is there are options always and not just products that are geared towards us old folks. It’s just bs marketing schemes. I agree in I don’t like how they always capitalize on our insecurities but the power is in our hands.
The concept is intriguing (I was intrigued!), but yeah, the price is excessive for the teeny tiny bottle. I’m so glad you reviewed this, so my curiosity is quelled; the end. I love it when that happens. 😊
Speaking of Chanel: I have just put on the Sublimage Foundation and ... oh boy, I have never been more happy about being influenced! Thank you so much for always being so honest and for guiding us in valuing good products!
I tried the lip balm and immediately went back to get 2 more to put around the house. It’s honestly the best lip balm I’ve used. I absolutely love it. I like other glosses, I like oil sticks, I love the Candy Glaze. (But for me the use case is different from Candy Glaze.) I think the packaging is actually very nice. It’s magnetic unlike most lip balms. I also tried the matte lipstick primer and it worked for me better than any lip primer I’ve used. It actually made my patchiest lipstick (LE Velvet Cinnabar) not look patchy on me. I got the Madam President lipstick. It’s fine/good. I mean there are lots of equivalent lipsticks. For $50 I like the Prada lipstick much more. I don’t think the packaging is pretty on this Sarah Creal. I think it’s kind of ugly, actually. But I’ll be honest, I bought it to try because I liked the lipstick names. 😂 I just had to have Madam President as I’m out canvassing. 😂 I didn’t try the concealer because there wasn’t a shade for me. Also, although I’m 56, I’m still oily so super moisturizing base products for “aging skin” don’t usually work for me anyway.
🗣Kackie thank you for taking one for the team!!!!! Look I'm on my 4th floor of life. I'll payyyy 💰 for base products that make me look smooth and 10 years younger. I have annoying hyperpigmentation in my older years. I HAVE TRIED IT ALLLLLL. Hands down the Jouer Concealer is the MOSTTT flattering, smoothing fulll coverage yet sooooo natural looking Concealer I can use all over my face. I was shooketh how great it looks and I thank you for bringing attention to that brand that I feel is soo under rated ❤❤❤❤❤
I was tempted to buy this as well as the hydrating essence that she recommends using along with it to create more of a skincare tint, but the price point gave me pause and I would like to be able to try it in store before I take the plunge at that price. I too kept saying Sarah Cereal as I was browsing her line on the website haha. Not sure if I really need this, although it does look very nice on you.
I got the concealer in the next shade up from you, the lip balm, and the brush. I am loving the lippie. I need to play more with the concealer, but yesterday I put a dot of it on the back of my hand and used the brush to put it under my eyes and around my nose. It was fine for that. I'm going to try spreading it out for a more foundation look.
I tried her lipstick. I REALLY like it. It's super moisturizing and comfortable. Feels almost like Effortless Lips on, it's got that nice balmy feeling slip to it. And the pigmentation is off the charts! It wears well. I wish the packaging felt more luxe, but I know that when it feels really heavy, that's because they put cement in the packaging to make it heavier. I just wish the tube felt as substantial as the price tag.
Concealer went to my top drawer immediately and it really is pretty with her tinted spf. I just wish she would build on the tints bc the single offering will not take me into the pale face winter season. It is my idea of no makeup makeup as a 54 yr old. Target audience, I guess.
So I’ve been tempted to try and thing or two but YIKES the price point. lol. Hadn’t heard of her either. But - that honestly doesn’t mean shit. Can’t wait to watch ❤
Re: tubing mascaras, my favorite is Thrive (and I have dark lashes, so I go light on it) and my second favorite, which is a lighter formula, is Elf Lash XTNDR. At $7 per tube (and Elf has brown), that’s my usual choice.
What the Sarah Creal (who?) line is lacking -- *especially* for a "luxury brand" -- is cohesiveness. The packaging isn't consistent between products: the mascara component is a rounded silver tube, the lip repair stick is a golden cylinder (no curves top or bottom), and the Skin Flex is glass and a triple rounded pseudo-Art Deco golden top. But wait -- there's more. The top of her lipstick is the same shape as the Skin Flex, but it's pale mint green(!) with gold on the bottom. (She also has 2 skin care products that have green in their packaging: an eye cream with a bright green top and white bottom, and an essence, which is a generic bottle in light seafoam.) There's also a lip primer in an orchid purple tube, and the sunscreen in a cheap-looking bright orange round. This is *not* a luxury line, prices notwithstanding. It looks like it was curated by a five-year-old. Sarah favours gold metallic, but has an important basic product all in silver. She can't decide between glass and plastic. And the colours! Three different shades of green, plus pinky-purple, orange, stark white... Can you imagine Chanel or Dior having such a marketing strategy? Of course not. I wouldn't support this company, and hope it fades away soon.
Back in the late 1960’s, women starting bemoaning the “pink tax”. Flash forward to the 2020’s and we’re still paying a “pink tax” on so many things, but now as we age (I’m 81), we’re also being hit with an “age tax”. I’m a luxury brand kind of gal, but I don’t like the idea that my age is being exploited by marketers: Oh, you’re old so you must use this product and, by the way, we’re going to charge you a ridiculous amount for it.”
I think plain old Vaseline gives the same look as that lip balm, honestly. I can't wear tubing mascara because they irritate my eyes for some reason. Sticking with my Fenty Eaze Drops for now, thanks.❤❤❤
Below a certain percentage lactic acid is really just a humectant, it plumps the skin, not enough to make it fuller really, but just to fill in fine lines. In a low % it doesn't exfoliate or make the skin more vulnerable to UV.
Thank you for this review. Sali Hughes, a British beauty journalist, reviewed a couple of pieces from the brand recently and mentioned that she felt (having toured a lot of factories) that money went into the design of the mascara brush, which could explain the price. It's worth noting that the brand is entirely self-funded which must be a factor in the small range of colours available for the concealer. Also I read that the amount of lactic acid in the lip balm is tiny and is there to aid absorption of the actives. I'm in the UK so can't purchase yet, but I will support the brand when it hopefully launches here...because I'm 55 and frankly f**ked off with beauty being marketed to much younger people. Your skin looks particularly beautiful in this video so I'm taking that as a good sign that the concealer has a lovely finish!
Your completely correct in that if we are paying a certain pricepoint we except certain things & when those products dont meet the quality for the price well then its immediate disappointment bc we know we could've bought something for less for the same quality, right? Did that make sense? Felt a little rambly lol
Thanks Kackie, you really took the hit for us on this one by the looks of it, hell would have to freeze over with ice before I spent that much Australian dollars on a defective package of clear balm lol but I appreciate you are here so we don't have to xo
I feel like if the shade range was good it might not feel like an aging tax. But I can’t even try it out bc there’s just not a single shade in the entire makeup line that would work for me. Total pass.
See, the wand on this mascara is 👌🏼 for me. Thrive and hourglass wands do not give my lashes any volume and just don’t work for me. I want this one to come in black!
omg you said my freckles and age spots (something close to that😂) play warm...I'm a cool neutral with freckles and now melasma I'm battling and that what's been bugging me about my concealer and fondation ❤ ty
I bought the concealer, mascara and the lip primer. The concealer is the only thing I would repurchase. The lip primer idk why I bought it 🤦🏻♀️ and the mascara really didn’t do anything spectacular for me. I’m only a few min into the video so I am curious to hear your thoughts 🙌
Hey, Kackie... I'm looking for high-end bougie, clean makeup, (even better if it is cruelty-free, and that, I don't know, rescues orphans,) that performs. It would help if it was instantly recognizable or completely obscure. Yes, it's for a shallow reason but at least I want it to work and I'm not going into debt to get it.
@@kackie Yes and No... I really am wanting some recommendations for lux items and with the Sephora sale now's the best time. I'm also wanting something that for a certain person who might bring 6 gallons of homemade ice cream in different flavors to a school event when the rest of us bring Breyers or store brand, I can say ( While casually applying a fabulous shade of lipstick... or powder... or whatever) "Why yes, it is CLEAN... oh and the company has all it's top executives volunteer at homeless shelters, etc." I don't actually expect them to rescue orphans... but it would be hilarious if they did.
@@kackie Seriously, any suggestions on an item that would really feel like a treat? (Don't worry about the orphans....) as a this or that, I'm thinking the new lipstick from Lisa Eldridge or an eyeshadow from Surratt or one from Chainticaille (damn their French spelling!). Which feels most like "oooooh, this is so nice"? (I've decided to treat myself AND donate to the orphans AND ignore my less noble impulses!)
Theory: the influx of "Sephora exclusive" brands (esp fragrance) are developed in coordination with LVMH/Sephora, driven by marketing and only meant to last a few years. Edit: I see people saying this brand is self funded so maybe it doesn't apply here but I still think it's relevant (e.g. Phlur or the like).
I like the concealer, works well. Her lipstick is just like any other, hate the names of them. The lip primer is way overpriced and seems the same formula as MAC's lip primer. Her skin care is okay, I have the hydrating serum and eye cream....holy moly overpriced. I was intrigued because she is a product developer and was head of VB Beauty. I will probably repurchase the concealer...but the rest....meh.
@@kackie Yeah, I don't subscribe to "girl boss' or "boss babe' vibes. And I don't agree with killing babies.....and she donates some proceeds of her (ironically) red lipstick to Planned Parenthood. The eye cream also comes in the packaging that resembles an old cigarette lighter....pandering to us Gen Xer's childhood memories. Not sure what she is trying to say with that...smoking does cause wrinkles....but the smoking debacle has been over for YEARS now. She is an odd duck...Ms. Creal.
No, no, no! Cosmetics for aging skin? That’s about as bad as No. 7’s skincare for menopausal skin. I saw it @ Walgreens. I asked the cashier if it was a big seller. She said it was moved to the front because nobody was buying it. Yes, I’d really want to have that where someone could see it. The cashier said most women, all ages, were offended by it. Anyway, I’m not interested in trying her products. I honestly think they are overpriced. But, I do appreciate your review.😊
Lactic acid is exfoliating, and my INSANELY dry lips definitely benefit from things like that. The photosensitivity is gonna depend on how much is in there, what percentage. But that being said...for this price, I don't know. I prefer the Softwear lip balm from Experiment Beauty. It works really well. And its 16 bucks.
I have the concealer in shade 2, I am fair olive and it works great. Not orange at all. The concealer and the eye cream work best together. I am 42 and am starting to have to work with fine lines and using the combo I have no issues. Also I think the mascara is really good. I am coming to the realization that in order to not look too make-upy, less is more. I think this line is following that same thought process.
Watched this while getting ready to go to work this morning. Had to teach middle school all day with “The Adults Are Talking” playing in my head. Great song though.
What are you in Danessa Myrick’s? Sephora is out of 1 and 2 in DM and I’m trying to see if I can get away with anything higher. I love the texture of your skin in the “Cereal”, but yeah color wise it hurts my heart.
Sarah Cereal -- that's exactly what I say in my head when I see this brand. Ha! I'm so glad to know it's not just me. I am over 50 with all the usual complaints and despite the hype I am not willing to pay these prices. I feel like it's ageism in reverse: now that you're old you must have tons of cash to throw at tiny little cosmetics. I will stick with other brands and save my cash for retirement.
$40 for mascara?! I will take a $26 Blinc (the original tubong mascara) any day. Regarding the packaging; I am often surprised at the cheap looking packaging on luxury make-up. Dior, Chanel, Givenchy...they all seem to have the cheapest plastic and those applicators. I collect art deco compacts, and to me those are so beautiful. And you could refill them! And they were luxurious and affordable.
The beauty lights that you use do not reflect the rosiness of the shade and the demarcation you are talking about. Looks very well blended with with your skin tone. other than that - thank you for your review. A very good demonstration how this is yet another BS luxury brand that charge absolutely ridiculous money for products that are not any different from their equivalents for half that price tag. Several months into their presence at Sephora and 98% of the reviews are incentivized - says a lot
I love this line. I have two shades in the concealer/foundation. I love it for covering my hyperpigmentation. I love the packaging. The size doesn't bother me because I use a lot less product than I do with other foundations. It's also convenient. The lip balm is . . .THA BOMB! I love it and I love the feel of the component in my hand. Oddly, I feel like it makes my lips look fuller, which I don't believe was a marketing claim. I LOVE your reviews. However, this review felt like a concerted effort to go against the grain (as in don't believe the hype). I still, very much, trust your opinion. However, having tried this line and having used it for well over a month, I have a completely different perspective, which is fine. I do get your approach that all things considered we don't have to pay so much. But . . . I am happy with my purchases, AND I am ALSO happy watching your amazing reviews. Looking forward to the next one.
am I watching this even though I'm 28 & still get mistaken for being literally 19? yes, aging skin is definitely not me but I'm going to watch anyway. I definitely wouldn't get anything for my mum because she wears makeup like twice a year (she enjoys makeup but like nursing & actually wearing it are 2 different things)
I returned that concealer. It was horrible. The color was terrible. It accentuated every line, wrinkle and actually made my undereye look more puffy. Too expensive and way better ones out there.
It must have such a small amount of lactic acid to be advertised as a lip balm for any time of day with less exfoliating power abd more of the hydrating properties of the lactic acid ?? Idk im sensitive and im alittle scared to try it for 42$ and not love it and it burn my lips off 😂 but i noticed their are actually alot of balms with lactic acid in them now . I think thr Eadam balms even have it and alot of the newer ones on the Sephora new release section.
Ma'am. Please could you hold up the products you are using in the montages, I love the little speed through montage things but I'm always guessing which product you are using 😂
Ok I kinda like the mascara. Actually, no I DO like the mascara. But the spf face product she released?? The component is so so so pretty but the formulaaaaa- it is one shade and it is straight up Kardahsian bronze. I’m keeping it for posterity but I have no idea why. Actually that’s not true. Who am I kidding, I could return it but I’m keeping it because the packaging is pretty and it was expensive and my capacity for radical self acceptance is limited. 🥂
I am unfortunately well into the Sarah Creal demographic and this is the best concealer I have ever used (and I have tried them all). It is the first concealer that made my deep and very dark circles plus under-eye wrinkles look almost acceptable. I think I would be willing to pay even more for the concealer (don’t tell Sarah lol). Not impressed at all by the lipstick though.
@@kackie The packaging is nothing to write about but I really like the concealer. I'm almost 62 and I don't find it creases on me nor does it make my understand look like prunes.
The prices are insane, and her marketing is so weirdly pander-y and hokey/gross especially given the prices. This brand feels like a private equity money grab in the grossest way.

Yeah and like I said, I think it's a great product. I just don't think it's giving luxury for the luxury price point.
So I’ve been tempted to try and thing or two but YIKES the price point. lol. Hadn’t heard of her either. But - that honestly doesn’t mean shit. Can’t wait to watch ❤
I love your videos and hot takes 😊
Re: tubing mascaras, my favorite is Thrive (and I have dark lashes, so I go light on it) and my second favorite, which is a lighter formula, is Elf Lash XTNDR. At $7 per tube (and Elf has brown), that’s my usual choice.
0:05 I had to replay after you laughed because I had no idea what was funny, this is how my brain has read the name every time I’ve seen it. 😅
I was just wondering about this brand! thank you for this video!
Ah ok copy. That's super helpful
@kackiebeauty what is your holy grail tubing mascara? I have never tried them but want to
I love salty Kackie 😂❤
😂😂
Agree the packaging is a miss.
Hi kackie could you possibly think about reviewing the vieve products….especially since she launched a complexion balm….or foundation ❤❤❤
Hi yes I already have them
@@kackie thank you my girl😘
The design of the mascara brush? It's just a normal brush.
I agree
@@kackieyes, she said the design of the brush.
It’s wavy! I stared and stared!
A sucker is born every day.
Omg where is your ear cuff from!!! It’s so gorgeous
Thank you! Lady Grey.
ahhh I loooooove your necklace!!! who’s it by?? please & ty 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
Don't let disco!!
@@kackie ty!!! 🫶🏼
Your completely correct in that if we are paying a certain pricepoint we except certain things & when those products dont meet the quality for the price well then its immediate disappointment bc we know we could've bought something for less for the same quality, right? Did that make sense? Felt a little rambly lol
so curious about the $60 spf and $94 eye cream - I use biologique eye cream so I’m down to pay, but it seems so audacious for a brand new line
Your reviews and content are awesome!!
Thanks Kackie, you really took the hit for us on this one by the looks of it, hell would have to freeze over with ice before I spent that much Australian dollars on a defective package of clear balm lol but I appreciate you are here so we don't have to xo
I used the balm again today and the packaging is so unnervingly rattly.
I feel like if the shade range was good it might not feel like an aging tax. But I can’t even try it out bc there’s just not a single shade in the entire makeup line that would work for me. Total pass.
Me too!🤷♀️❤
I'm 70 and loving her products. Chef's kiss to her lipsticks. I can pay and wasn't disappointed.
I’m only a few min into the video so I am curious to hear your thoughts 🙌
i have one question and one question only . are we getting a fjords fest this year ?
Hey, Kackie... I'm looking for high-end bougie, clean makeup, (even better if it is cruelty-free, and that, I don't know, rescues orphans,) that performs. It would help if it was instantly recognizable or completely obscure. Yes, it's for a shallow reason but at least I want it to work and I'm not going into debt to get it.
I can't make heads or tails of the tone of this comment 😂 are you being sarcastic?
I wouldn't necessarily flourish it... just knowning that I could would be enough.... LOL
Thank you for saving me money on a mid lipgloss! But also, what is this cardigan???
lol a banana republic cardigan I got for $5 at the outlets lol
@@kackie We love an outlet find!
The lipstick names are so girlboss! 😂😂
23:37 *$42 😂
Just purchased the Thrive mascara yesterday, can’t wait to try it.
Loved the cameo from “inflation Kackie” ❤🎉
Could you please do a Victoria Beckham concealer video ❤
A 2 almost always. But the original vision cover goes SO light!
I must say that I don’t see any mask likeness. Your skin looks glowing and beautiful. Like you’re not even wearing anything. Beautiful
Came here to say exactly this!
It's the color difference. Some people can see it some people can't.
I want to hear allllll the stuff you have to say kackie lol all the education, opinions and randomness. ❤
As a woman of a certain age….I have less disposable income for makeup than I did before retirement.
Sarah Cereal would have been a better name. 🎉
Eadem lip balms contain lactic too!! I’m real real over brands putting acids in cosmetics (I’m looking at you, lisa e skintint😒)
But what concealer brush is that? Sigma? I need to know!
Yes it's sigma!
Sadly the Face Flex shade you bought looks like it might be a great match for my skin tone but at $58 I am not going to buy it
The beauty lights that you use do not reflect the rosiness of the shade and the demarcation you are talking about.
I guess I've just never seen one call it out as a feature
There’s lactic acid in the eadem lip balm though?
See this is all news to me lol
YOU ARE 37???!!! Give me the key to eternal youth 😂😂❤❤❤
Hahahahaha Botox and peels and sunscreen
Ma'am. Please could you hold up the products you are using in the montages, I love the little speed through montage things but I'm always guessing which product you are using 😂
Oh I see you doing now, I think it was just the first two.
They are also listed in the description
As a 46 yr old with a heathy love of all things beauty...I looked at this new brand and choked and said I'll go back to my luxury products 😂
The "collection" or at least these 3 products do not even present as a cohesive group (from a design perspective).
Right?? I was like "this is not a complexion product" - because it's one color. That's why I didn't bother 🫠
This seems to be the consensus! I'm so glad for the feedback.
The concealer sounds like a more expensive version of Maxine’s revenge.
That was exactly my thought.
They just offered to send me theirs. I'm gonna go for it.
@@kackie The packaging is nothing to write about but I really like the concealer. I'm almost 62 and I don't find it creases on me nor does it make my understand look like prunes.
@@crdlovestea9538 I plan to try it soon.
I got the Sarah Creal tubing mascara delivered to the UK. IT IS CRAP!!!! THe Tarte tubing mascara is so so much better.
I’m off to purchase me a make mascara 😊
Love❤
This whole time I thought it was Sarah cereal lol maybe it was a Mandela effect 😅
The prices are insane, and her marketing is so weirdly pander-y and hokey/gross especially given the prices. This brand feels like a private equity money grab in the grossest way.
I truly love the SC line. I am sorry you couldn't find a match. It has been my savior, but ymmv
