Its very lightweight after drying completely. Its the water that makes the sphere heavy. Once the sphere dries completely, its only the weight of the paper that you used for making this sphere.

Add a little more glue and do not press it hard during initial stages of making sphere. Handle it gently until it hardens a little.

I did not try with tissue paper. I guess tearing wet tissue paper to make paper mache will be difficult. I would suggest newspaper or ordinary paper.
