The mixing on this is a bit different (kinda shit) but it's to my liking for right now. In the future I may go back and polish this song up a bit, but for now I'm chilling :P Never done breakcore before this so idk
already found the "is this anything...?" pretty surprising from you and now this ? well i don't know if i already said it on this channel but i love composers trying new genres so i'm all for it
this is really really good, the only piece of advice i could possibly give to this is that just as is with most breakcore tracks (and also music in general, just not to the same extent), things can get old fast if you aren't breaking up the progression a whole lot. i think 1:00-1:32 is the best example i have of that, just since this part is pretty static aside from one little break in the progression, but its very short and doesn't last long enough to really refresh the listener. but aside from that i honestly think the mixing is good!! its more so just that a couple of sections drag on for a bit. smiley i freaking love your music and i wish you a bountiful harvest okay
I get that! And ty :)) I think it was done more so to stretch out the time, and because a lot of breakcore / dnb / jungle repeats a lot. I hear it in A LOT of tracks. Also this *is* my first time doing breakcore so that could explain it being pretty sloppy :P
@@smileysqueak thats all good! in the case of jungle and dnb, i don't think it's too big of a deal, but especially if you're doing breakcore, i think it's pretty important to try and keep things fresh for as long as you can. i love listening to old jungle tracks from the 90s and 2000s and the genre around that time is honestly very reliant on just writing a solid loop and then breaking it every now and then so depending on your angle either way it could work.
Mix doesn't sound bad at all! Maybe the volume leveling could have been done differently, and on the low bands a little bit corrected, but overall it's not a bad mix at all, I can't find some noticable mistakes!! If I may ask, how do you work with compression? Is there any plugins in particular you like to use? Or maybe tecniques like bus compression? Because I love how your drums sound! >:)
The mixing problems you notice are imperceptible to me and i thinka lot of other people. It sounds great! It seems you are hard on yourself for mixing and thats chill but dont let that consume you...

breakcore fans when the drums go really fast or something
i genuinely would never know that this is ur first time making breakcore if it wasn't for the description, holy crap well done
this track is very nice, makes me want to go fast!
I love it
This is more fast paced than the other music you made. I admire the refreshing vibes that it gives out.

sounds so good
I really love the sound quality on the drums themselves. Whatever effects you put on there helped them sound really clean!
Super good stuff!!
Ty :)))
