Welcome in Sweden🤗 When I came 1978 the first time from Germany to Sweden (West-Värmland) I knew: this is my landscape, here i will live. Two years later my darling and I bought an old "torp" and made it our home. Now I'm living here in 44 years and never regret. I don't miss my birthland Germany. I have the same feelings about my country, the Netherlands. Even more crowded then Germany.. People everywhere and the traffic is unbearable all the time 🫤 And I looooove snow! Houses are way too expensive. And we also almost never get snow.. I would love to live in Sweden too but my partner doesn't want to leave.
Yes I totally understand and I'm so sorry that you don't have the possibility to move at the moment ❤ I wish you all the best and I know it's so much easier said than done... but if we can't change the outside, the only thing we can change is our inside. You're always welcome to travel to Sweden anyway ❤

You're so brave for doing this! And I can really relate to trying to appreciate what a city has to offer. I tried going out to bars, eating out etc... but it still never felt like a place for me. Again, so brave of you to move away from that, and actively working towards what actually makes you happy! 🥰
My dear, it was so well explained, with love and care. I felt very similar about leaving Czechia, I wasn't hating the country but it was just simply unfullfilling in too many ways. So much of what I needed wasn't possible there. Now in Sweden life got easier. Not that it is easy to find my way in a new country, language and culture, that is quite challenging and will be for years. But everything else just fell into place, I can breathe, I can rest after years of stress. My health problems are disappearing and my nervous system is getting calmer every day, I know I have to live here to thrive. And so do you and it was so nice to hear your words, knowing I am not the only one feeling like this, moving for almost the same reasons. Your sharings are so important for my ears (and soul and mind), hearing that my need to move here is not unique, that I am not alien having this need to follow my soul's calling (I often feel like alien amongst my family and friends for moving here). Thank you so much, I am so happy from your happiness shining throught the screen 💚

I had been taken pills against my Hardcore allergy for 9 years in a row, every day. Because when I forgot them, I couldn't breathe. I haven't taken one pill since we have arrived in Sweden. My body is so grateful for my decision and so is my soul. And therefore ... it doesn't matter what anybody else wants or expects us to do. In this one life we were granted, it's our responsibility to make the ✨️ best ✨️ out of it. You can be so proud of yourself!!! ❤️❤️❤️ sending much love. @@lagomtrolldom That is amazing that you don't need the pills anymore! 😮🥳 (My pollen allergy is also gone and not that the grass is not growing here, it is growing crazy in our garden 😄) Our bodies often know better than our minds, we just lost the ability to read the signals body is sending and maybe also wilingness to change what is not good for us. And I love your attitude, life is ours to live, so we have to listen to what is calling us even if others don't understand ❤️ I wish you glad midsommar ☀️💚
Your words are inspiring to live your life of happiness. Am hoping you may someday visit the Jedediah redwood trees. The cool fresh air of those 350’ giant trees, wood sorrel and fern touched me for a lifetime of good memories. Life is good.
I am very glad that you told those experiences, how you saw your life in Germany, what Germans are like. And I find it curious when you talk about the way Germans treat each other, since my family being from a German colony, I constantly hear people who come from that colony say that their child has "German character", which It is the German character, I have been told that too, and on the other hand I see that both my father's family and my mother's family complain about how hard their parents' education has been, and I always think, in Spain they are not educated like that, they were educated hard because we come from Germans, who have a different culture. So yes, you confirm my assumptions, although I have never been to Germany. As for why people are happier in Spain, a lot of Germans, English and also people from Nordic countries come here, looking for the sun and the ocean, and they probably do so because of what you say, the sun is necessary to not get depressed, here You can go out much more, less when it is also 40 degrees. Regarding the fact that you needed to go to another country, our ancient Germanic ancestors came and went, they reached all corners of Europe and beyond, it is normal, they themselves had that need. I guess I don't have it because my most recent ancestors came from Germany here to Spain looking for a better life, and they got it, so in my case I'm fine here.

There is also the term "German Angst" which also is very fitting to Germans as they are afraid of everything and everyone all the time.
