Trust me that shows him even more appreciation and respect for a job well done, because for many, frustration or impatience in doing a job like that could easily rear its "ugly head"

I definitely agree with Jeremy's idea. Once you put the drywall up, those ceilings are going to be very low. Especially in the bathroom area. I would remove the cross beams and make the ceiling higher in that area. My husband and I built one in our backyard. If you guys want to see pictures, I can send you'll some.

Hello, this is my first time viewing your video. I'm captivated from the start. I have never seen a more professional tiny home delivery. Amazing! (New subscriber now hitting the like). I feel if you want an illusion of a larger space when you come in the door, get rid of loft in the back. That area can be used as a bedroom, shower, and privacy area. It can be closed off with sliding doors. The main living room can have a sofa sleeper. Then, the loft over the kitchen can have stairs that doubles as storage pantry since it's over the kitchen area. (This layout will allow three sleeping spaces) Also, take into account that you will lose a few inches from walls, floors, and ceiling once you put in insulation and drywall. I'm excited for y'all. Praying all goes as planned. Peace and blessings.

As someone on the tiny house journey with my fiancé, I highly recommend taking the beams out and the back loft. There are ways to utilize the space better in organization. I would also say raise the tiny home higher off the ground and put it on a concrete slab. Having it higher off the ground, you will have the opportunity to put plumbing. And placing it on the concrete slab will save a lot of heating and cooling. Insulate the floor from underneath. Seal your roof with a good rubberized sealant. Be sure to go with baffles in the ceiling and spend the extra money on Rockwool. All of these things are a game changer.

    • @daniellenoctua
      @daniellenoctua 2 дня назад +1

I forgot to mention, ventilation, ventilation, ventilation! Since it is a tiny space, it can have issues with moisture. Be sure to have a good bathroom vent and dehumidifier. Most air-conditioning units come with dehumidifiers these days, which is nice. But I would have an extra one on hand for winter time.

Wow. That guy makes so much sense. He is absolutely right! I agree with him 100%. Those boards are far too low. They need to be taken out or moved up or something. If I was as tall as him, I would feel very claustraphobic in there too. I wonder if she realizes what a smart guy she has.

I agree with Jeremy. The space would look bigger if you move those beams. Plus its for the both of you and he is tall. And what if your guess can't climb up there. Its another option. Easier for him also to move around. You can find a small couch with pull out. Or those big wide chairs with the ottomon. You can sleep onnthose as well.

Have you considered a Murphy bed or a Day bed with trundle? The bottom bed pulls out to offer additional bed space. The higher ceilings will look better. Large scale pavers would look great for the walkway. The wooden walkways are also unique.

Congratulations on your new home! What an exciting time this is for you.
I think you have to keep in mind the lack of privacy with using the living room area as a bedroom.
Maybe you use the back upstairs loft for your studio space but still take a few beams down from it to clear a little more head space . This way you could put a bedroom downstairs, possibly beside the bathroom.
Also windows in the loft for some sir flow and light.

If it can fit, another option can be, to take out the loft and put a bedroom in that back area along with the bathroom and have a first floor bedroom. You’ll still have 2 bedrooms and it’ll be easier for when you have guests over that struggle with stairs/ladders.

Congratulations! There are so many creative ways to divide and design tiny homes! The beauty of starting with a blank slate means you can share your ideas for how the space should look. If I were in your shoes, I’d consider my spouse's height to ensure he feels comfortable in our tiny home. I would divide the space to create a cozy bedroom and perhaps skip the loft. A shower, toilet, and sink combo sounds reasonably practical, or a compact bathroom would work beautifully! I would look for furniture with several functions, such as a couch/loveseat with a bed. I would use a coffee table that has a section for storage. I would use the loft over the kitchen to store items for the unit and add more outdoor living space(s). I would find someone local who could build a foldable staircase(s) that becomes artwork when not used if you choose to use the loft(s). Your tiny home interior has endless possibilities! Again, congratulations! And! I'm so proud of you both!

They have 1 1/2 seat pull out beds that feels like oversized twin beds. To Jeremy's point, you can use the living areas as two functional spaces, day living and night for sleeping.
Also, you will need storage options and you can utilize the higher and deep areas of the top floor as storage space.❤

If I were to compromise so both of you get what you want, I’d raise the loft area higher, that way it clears his head and feels more spacious. Tho the loft will be too small to sleep in, you can drywall the front of it and put a cute access door and make it a storage space. And do a nice futon for the living room.

I hear what you're both saying and think both ideas can work. It's gonna depend on the type of furniture you purchase and its multiple ways you can make the furniture work. You might be able to find the type of bed that you can put up in the wall or can be both a couch and bed.
I think your husband is saying having one of the lofts come down with a higher ceiling would give the appearance of an open space and not so closed in. The wife is saying she wants to maximize all the space. I think both can be done. Start looking at places that sale furniture that would work and not take up a lot of space.

Thank you for this feedback !!! Trust me we aren’t taking the decision lightly. We are both doing some research on some designs and bringing them to each other !

100% It's a process and folks always want the now, forgetting it takes time, loved that you said that. As for the tiny home, first get it anchored in the ground. When it comes to insulation you will want to spray foam it, at least the ceiling cause of moisture. As for the lofts, I see both. If you have ever lived tiny you will value any extra space or storage BUT lofts get extremely HOT in the summer! Like you can barely sleep up there even with AC. Just a heads up if you've never slept in a loft before. Most importantly have fun and enjoy the process!

I think you should put the stairs on the walls on both lofts and keep the middle of the floor open you will have more space. Keep the two Loft areas for sleeping call in a designer and get their opinion❤😊

And then, lastly, you wouldn’t be left with all that open space for couch and two fold away beds/chairs so think of multifunction furniture and hideaway furniture or you could extend the house by adding a shed close up and putting the kitchen or bathroom in it or something to that effect just don’t forget to insulate it like when you insulate your house congratulations and good luck to you

Congratulations the purchase! I agree with Jeremy. Opening up one of the spaces would give you all more flexibility with design opportunities and make the home appear larger.

Some of those delivery drivers also repo sheds and they share it on RUclips. It's interesting because sometimes people don't want to move out. The channel I watch is 'Shedhappens'

I agree with Keesha. Taking out one of the lofts is only making that space useable as air space. If that space could be used as something functional then yes but other than that it will just be open for no reason:

I think y'all should keep both lofts and add the pull out bed.. if you are planning to house family members one loft would not be enough space at all.. or use one as a kids play area with books and a rail support system..

Hey Y'all, this is the 2nd video of yas I watched since the one of you all getting your house and property you did not long ago. Are you all planning on having a bunch of tinys for yourself or others or what? I am looking for a tiny and or a place to park one, etc.. I am down in Warner Robins, but would love to live closer to Atlanta anywhere and I work from home so I could go anywhere and would love it. You all are blessed and I sure felt your anxiety with that thing rocking back and forth. I didn't realize they had that remote thing and could move it around like he was doing. Just amazing. All the best of blessings to you all and your beautiful little girls, momma and fam!

Hey Keesha and Jeremy, please don't take down those support beams. That will possibly mess up the integrity of the house.
Also, it looks like it's on a down slope. Are you in a possibly flood area? Will the creek flood do to heavy rain?
    I pray all goes well.
    Blessings

I agree with keesha. Keep both lofts. Add wide stairs with storage to the back loft. Foldable or slider stairs to the front one.
