Thanks for the Review ! Note on 5:30 notes from you - each lens has its own cylinder optics across each focal length. No glass components are re-used between lenses across all 6 32 through 100 !
Good review. But I wish the way they would do the tests was to just lightning fast go through each lens on different sensor sizes showing first a 50mm "normal" lens then put on the 50mm anamorphic. Show us concretely what you actually gain in width of image . Like they don't have a 50mm lens (or whatever size) just sitting around the studio?
Used the A set on a short film I shot in July and was really pleased with them. They def compare to the Master Anamorphics but at a fraction of the cost.
Thanks BrainBox! Good to finally see the 32,50 and 80 in context. Seems like they are all fairly consistent. Would really like to have seen the tests also repeated at the mentioned sweet spot of T4.
He is merely saying that you’ll get a 2x horizontal field of view due to it being anamorphic. So the horizontal field of view will be the same as what you’d get from a 16mm lens on the same S35 camera. He is not comparing to a full frame horizontal field of view, which, if converted would be what full frame shows at 24mm as you said.
Thanks for this test, very helpful! On the focus charts at the end, you have it labelled T2 and then T16, but it only looks like you're closing down one or two stops. Is there a typo there? Can you confirm the T stops?
Please learn to balance your sound, there is no reason your intro should be 3 times louder than your actual video... why would a trust the review of someone who can't do the most basic sound correction?
Freaking anoying to watch with the constant mismatched eyelines in this poor attemp at multicam. Your talking Cinema, so get it right, had to turn off!
Finally! A test of all 6 lenses! These look amazing especially at their price point. Well done!
Thanks Brandon!

One day I will buy a anamorphic lens and I will work my ass off to get one.
No worries, sirui is making huge progress. Soon many to come
Can you make a forcuschart test on the next test with the sweet spot t-stop? Like around 4-8?
Btw great test, thanks!

tuner inner - that’s me! i want this set SO badly!

They do compare in some metrics but to a discerning eye master anamorphics are unmatched in image quality

Thanks for the feedback! More lens tests for other fun things coming soon
Really well done video. So much of info.
Great Video! Which lens did you use at the end of the video?
Is there a big difference when using the 65mm compared to the 50 and 80mm ?
I’m waiting on the b set to come in. Been like 6 months.
Luckily found a 32 and 50 for sale individually on ebay for next day shipping lol
what lens was used for the bear shots at the end
*im totally in love with the 32mm **
Isn’t actually 32mm x 1.5 crop = 48mm and then stretch 2x brings it to 24mm horizontally? How did you come up with 16mm?

Are these lenses compatible with Sony E mount cameras?
Can we use it with bmpcc4k camera without any crop or with speedboster plz reply
how far are you standing away from the subject with each lens?
The focus breathing is extremely noticeable
Nice thanks for the info.!
I miss the chromatic aberration test. :-)

No typo, iso was adjusted to attempt to compensate
Thanks for this test! On this test the 50mm at F2 looks a lot softer then the 40mm and the 65mm. Was this badly focussed or is this generally true?
I find the 40mm to be quite soft wide open. To the point where I would almost never shoot wide open unless absolutely necessary.
the ending lol

you don’t need no stinking b cam! :-)
I have no interest in any anamorphic lenses, I am here because he is cute.
Skin tones test? What hahaaha
