I Feel For You was a big solo hit.
But you might want to listen to Steve Winwood's song Higher Love. Chaka does the backing vocals on it & definitely makes her presence known towards the end of the song.

Rap killed this music. 5 musicians on stage with the lead singer. Go to a rap concert and tell me how many musicians you see on the stage. I miss funk and soul and R&B. Bring those back and get rid of rap music.

Great song. Stevie Wonder wrote it. Has both wah wah and talkbox effects.
Another great Chakha Khan song (as a solo artist) is "I Feel For You", which was written by Prince and features Stevie Wonder on the harmonica.

Love Chaka Khan. Back when I was growing up during this time period we didn't care about genre or labels. We just appreciated great music. Didn't care who was singing or playing if it was good it was good. You're right this is just feeling good music!

I was lucky enough to have seen Rufus and Chaka Khan when they opened up for The Who back in the 70's. They were great and they played this song👍🏻🎶

Oh yes, I am a big fan of this one. I use this line like in my speech, here and there. If I ever have to say, tell me something good, I sing it like this.❤ don’t forget you can hear Chaka Khan with Stevie Winwood.

One of my all time favorite songs! I remember it from when I was probably around 8 yrs old. The 70s had the best music, just incredible. Chaka Khan is an icon, nobody else like her anywhere. She's got a lot of great songs. Prince loved her and wrote a big hit for her, 'I Feel For You', big 80s MTV & radio hit. Another Chaka/Rufus is 'Ain't Nobody' which is also incredible, also 70s.

Love her. She's still got it to this day. She did some sweet stuff on Joni Mitchell's 75th birthday celebration a few years ago. Powerful voice, killer smile, sweet soul.

Lee, Bowie performed on Soul Train in his “plastic soul” era. Totally coked out, painfully thin and otherly. Mezmerizing - especially Hot Stepping.
If you like this, it’s a great direction for the channel.
Chaka Khan lived in Wales last time I heard, eating specialnmushroom. I kid you not 😮

Such a great singer and band. Chaka Khan is a legend of course and she has truly been "to Hell and back, by limo ride" - that's the tagline for an interview/profile with her once on the radio over here. She's a survivor, a truly gutsy lady and a phenomenal singer!
I've loved her since I saw "I feel For You" on MTV - wonderful song and video - but by that point she had already been around for a long time and Rufus were a fabulous funk/soul band.

This is the studio version being mimed. Compare it to studio version ...identical. The Midnight Special version is so much better, much more energy and bassist Willie Meeks is throwing down and the guitarist is really using a talk box. Not acting like it here.
