Reformed Baptist here, but grew up “speaking in tongues” in a Pentecostal church where my MOTHER was the “pastor.” No one could’ve told me it wasn’t real because my “experiences” sure felt real. However, as I began to read Gods word w/my OWN EYES & those experiences did not match up w/scripture, a struggle began in me. I sought the Lord on this & many other false things I had been indoctrinated w/as a child, (such as woman elders/pastors) It took some deep HONEST soul searching & humility to admit that I had been engaging in this fake tounge practice. I now stand firm on the FACT that what was being practiced in my childhood church was LEARNED BEHAVIOR. They would lay hands on you, pat the bottom of your chin repeatedly & say, “HERE IT COMES!!! THERE IT IS!!!…until something came out of your mouth. Sometimes they’d even start it out for you by babbling close to your face & squeezing your cheeks. The pressure was on, cuz if you didn’t speak the gibberish, you were just gonna let everyone down because you didn’t believe hard enough. I know people that will lay hands to pray & IMMEDIATELY start jerking, shaking & shouting “SHAAAANDALALALALA”just because that’s what they’ve seen their whole lives. I admit, I am bitter & pray for peace in this area. I believe the tongues in Acts 2 & everywhere else in scripture, were human languages. God please open all of our eyes to the truth! Prayers for all!
Tongues for the most part are groaning and utterances of the Holy Spirit praying through others at times as we are all vessels for thy Lords work. Too many get caught up in trying to explain away things that are definitely spoken about in the book of Acts so why question something that is spoken about in the Bible? Does God change because we do or does the Scriptures depend upon our emotional viewpoint? When I became a born again Christian myself over 42 years ago and when I was baptized in the Holy Spirit, the first thing that happened to me overall is the urge to pray in unknown languages and I was amazed about it until I realized it was talked about in the book of Acts and I have never felt it was forced upon me at all. Roman’s 8v26 talks about when groaning and intercessions will come at times in moments of Spiritual warfare and other times as the Holy Spirit will intercede on our behalf when we know not what to pray for at times. Too many have blown it all out of proportion to what it is really all about which is at times the Holy Spirit will pray through us in times of intercession.. As far as the gift of tongues is concerned, that is when one person will speak in a native tongue of another that may be in attendance at meetings and as a way of speaking directly to that other person in their native tongue so both instances are not the same. One is for edifying and building up and the latter is more of confirmation for one who might be in attendance and they don’t speak the dialect of the person preaching or ministering to the whole group overall. It’s not that difficult to understand the difference between both.
@Ex-Cult2Exalt I am reformed Baptist too. I do not believe nothing that comes out of Pentecostals the offshoot charismatic they started off wrong and they will end wrong. What they are speaking is gibberish, the Lord Jesus Christ brings his people out of it. Keep reading the scripture and trusting in the Lord!
I got saved in a Baptist church with speaking in tongues and, falling out, and everything!! A wonderful church with a strong biblical teaching. I fell out, I spoke in tongues!! There was no interpreter…. Then I moved away and I was forced to study the word of God while I sought a new home, I almost ended up in a cult (International Church of Christ) which further forced me to study the word. In that I grew in my knowledge and understanding. I remembered my original church where a woman would run around and around and around the congregation waving her hands and “speaking in tongues” I’d always found her a distraction. I began to understand that the scripture was clear about an interpretation being required. My new understanding saved me profoundly as I went through many churches, including a Pentecostal church in New Orleans where everyone believed that uncontrolled laughter was a sign of the indwelling Holy Spirit!😮. It was demonic. I like good simple Bible teaching now. The original church did NOT have all these categorizations, it was the simple word. These are the confusion of the enemy. Keep it simple
Great video Corey. I was thinking the same thing about depression, sickness, family issues, the human struggles we all have. Btw...I am a former tongue talker. I always felt less of a Christian because I still had problems. Continue to open people's eyes with the Word of God. Thank you so much for your faithfulness. 🙏✝🕊
You felt less of a Christian because God honored you and his promise and gave you the Holy Spirit( speak in tongues) and you rejected the Holy Spirit? Wow.
@@lindaburgess8669 I hear you bro. Because you pray in your own understanding dosen't mean you rejected the Holy Spirit! When you got saved, the Holy Spirit came to reside in you. He won't leave ever leave, no matter what!!! When you got saved you were sealed unto the day of redemption!!!
Amen! As a former Pentecostal I understood exactly what you were saying. The ones speaking in gibberish truly are biblically illiterate and do not know how to read and study God’s word. It sounds harsh. But only to those who will not deny themselves. They read the word “tongue” in the Bible and then they assume that it’s the gibberish that’s spoken in their church, by their grandma, and what they are told tongues sounds like. They read the word “groanings” or “utterances” and then assume that it’s the same gibberish they have heard and been told that is speaking in tongues. Unless you have been first introduced to these fake tongues and what they sound like, you do not read scripture like they understand it. They read the Bible “tongue builds up himself” or “edifieth himself” and then assume that’s a GOOD thing. The comments section here from those defending their understanding of the “tongue” they are speaking is exactly spot on in displaying how argumentative they are and prefer their own understanding of what tongues is than God. This is a comments section and not a Bible study so I hope that those who profess they are believers, truly seek out how to rightly handle the word of God. Because THAT is the most important thing for a Christian.
@linagarciaa It is a good thing. Paul said, I am glad I speak in tongues more than all of you. he also said, He who speaks in tongues edifies himself. He then said I wish you all spoke in tongues (edify yourselves, but I would rather you prophesy (edify the church) because not many believers were doing that, they all were mostly speaking in tongues.

@ huh? You obviously don’t understand Roman’s 8v26. The problem is too many of you are not reading the Bible yourself. If you think I am wrong about what I just told you why not try reading that scripture for yourself? I have believed in God over 42 years and still believe into my sixties and you telling me I am wrong is just ignorance on your behalf and unfortunately you don’t determine how I understand Scripture as I believe it at it’s face value and don’t determine it by my emotional needs.

I enjoy watching these videos because it encourages me to know my word and know what and why I believe what I believe. Timestamp 54:51. People say 120 because that’s what it says in Acts 1:15. Since Luke wanting to compile a narrative of the things that took place (Luke 1:1-2) mentions 120 in Acts 1:15 and then in chapter 2:1 he references that “they” were all together in one place. So removing chapters and verses (because they came much later) you either have to guess who are the “they” Luke is referencing in Acts 2:1 or conclude that it’s the 120 that Luke mentioned earlier, unless 108 people (120-12) decided to no longer devote themselves to prayer during those days (Acts 1:15) keep in mind it was only 10 days from when Jesus ascended until pentacost. Shalom
I personally have spoke in tongues in a language I had never spoke before, I was talking to someone and they thought I was speaking their language like literally. I was speaking a different tongue of men because of all the praying and faith I had. I do not speak it at church or anything. That one moment though I was used by God to speak in a different language. He was a Muslim, I have had faith in the word of God and consistently pray to God. I also fasted for a while. I was at a Christian college and consistently being involved and wanting everyday to be filled with Jesus, and that might be where many people lack that. So sir, I will never deny tongues no matter how much you don’t know my experience. In that time it wasn’t about how much I knew, it was about hearing Gods voice through the word. I prayed to God to be used by him, and that same day I got asked questions and ended up sharing the word with people. I was obedient when God was giving me a feeling of having to talk to people even though I’m an introvert so, I’m not denying the power of spirit. Also I returned to the same guy and could no longer understand or talk to him. I also want to say, God is funny for the spiritual subtitles I saw although I was speaking it, I couldn’t understand without the subtitles 😂😭. 🙌🏽🙏🏽
January 1, 2025 Sad to think that someone might speak in "fake" tongues! Wow! My own experience has been that no one laid hands on me, no one touched me! One day I was laying down on my bed and sat up speaking in tongues, after having been born again for 10 years! I started to lay hands on the sick and the praying in tongues helped to heal the person. I didn't heal them, God did. I just made myself an available servant. For example, my co-worker had a back injury, medication & surgeries did not help. He had pain for 7 years. I asked him if I could pray for him. I touched his forehead & back and prayed in tongues and we both heard his spine snap back into place! He never had a problem with his back! To God be the glory forever! God bless you all!
I was away from the church for a long time when I was younger because of the speaking in tongues and tithing. As far as tithing, I knew even as a kid that what was spoken about in church about tithing was NOT in scripture. However, as a kid, you don't contradict, so I stayed silent. As far as tongues, I felt unworthy because the church I went to had the entire congregation "speaking in tongues" and jerking about like they were having a conniption fit, and I did not understand why I wasn't doing the same. They sounded like a bunch of babbling babies. I felt that I was unworthy of such a "gift" and that God saw me as one who didn't belong (I didnt, but it wasn't because I was unworthy of God's love). It wasn't until years later, and reading scripture myself did I realize that I was right... they were babbling. I had no reason to feel unworthy because what they were doing was not godly. Even now, when I hear people do that, it irritates me so badly, like when someone hits a wrong note because I know they are saying nothing.

“Therefore, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak in tongues. But all things must be done properly and in an orderly manner.” 1 Corinthians 14:39-40
@@chicagogalwhat is the Bible written in English. And everybody in their speaks English. So why do they speak gibberish so much? The Holy Spirit gave the disciples the ability to speak in different languages, so people from diverse backgrounds could understand the message in their own language.
That was 18 years before the destruction of the Temple and judgment of Israel for rejecting Messiah. A few verses later, Paul says tongues were a sign to the Jews about the coming destruction. So, the Holy Spirit was still using tongues. Besides that, it doesn’t say “don’t forbid fake tongues.”
Acts 8:15 (KJV) Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: Acts 8:16 (KJV) (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Acts 8:17 (KJV) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. This verse is proof that just being baptized does not equate to receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. These believers were saved and baptized and yet the apostles had to travel a great distance to lay hands on them so that they received the Holy Spirit. Is their salvation experience different than ours.
Paul said. I will speak in the Spirit (tongues and I will speak with my understanding (native language). joh4 24 God is spirit, his worshipers MUST worship him IN THE SPIRIT (tongues) and in truth for these are the type of worshipers God seeks.
Brother Corey . Please cover in 2025 the history of how Pentecostals / charismatic began these fake tongues through the Azusa street revival . Not many speak about this that these types of gibberish kinds of tongues originated in 1901.
@ I never said tongues originated in the Us through Azusa street . I simply said the “gibberish” type of tongues or glossalalia spoken by most charismatics originated from the Azusa street. The pioneer of this movement Charles Fox Paham even believed that tongues were actual earthly languages . However upon failed missionary trips with individuals claiming to speak in tongues like Chinese and Indian, The original meaning of tongues was changed to try to explain why these missionary trips failed. There are verifiable news articles form that time explaining this.
@FishermanBubbFor you to go say I don’t experience tongues is a great assumption. I spoke in these “tongues” for years when I was a part of the charismatic circle. I believe looking back that I may have either faked it to seem more spiritual, or genuinely believed the lies I was being told or both. I’ve since repented. Either way, I find it interesting that no one who I was around could tell that my tongues weren’t genuine. That’s odd that “spirit filled “ believers can’t tell the difference between fake tongues and real tongues. The fact is, every spiritual are always verified. “Angelic languages” aren’t. My question would then be, how do you know if your tongues are real ? If you say because you “feel empowered” by the spirit then anyone can say that and falsify tongues. But if you say by the scriptures, then it has to look like what’s in the Bible. Regarding 1st Corinthians 13. Paul was speaking hyperbolically. If you look in the very next verse, he talks about knowing all the secrets of God and having all knowledge. These things are super ok if to say that even if he could do those things, if he didn’t have love, it would be pointless. We can’t take one verse out of the context of that passage and not take into account the other verses. That’s eisegesis
@FishermanBubb with all due respect. I guarantee your “tongues” sounded a lot like my “tongues” . The reason you’ve never met anyone who spoke in tongues refer to it as gibberish is probably because this one’s you know still subscribe to this falsehood of tongues. There is no “heavenly language” if so please support it with scripture other than 1st Corinthians 13 which you pulled out of context. 1. There are only two words used in the Bible as it relates to the Greek whenever the world tongues is used. Dialektos and Glossa. Dialektos is where we get English word Dialect and could mean either the physical organ or an earthy dialect/ language. Glossa is where we get the English word glossary which also refers to a known earthly language. No where in scripture do we see any sign of a heavenly language. 2. How come when people speak in these “tongues” say or utter the same words over and over again? If there was a heavenly language , I would imagine there would be more words to say. 3. Again tongues, along with other spiritual gifts are verifiable . For example. Healing is verifiable by the person or people actually being healed. And Prophecy is verifiable by whatever that was spoken will have come to pass. Tongues are verifiable by others hearing what is spoken in their OWN earthly languages. Or an interpreter correctly interpreting the language that is spoken. ( Acts 2) Every gift is verifiable. So again , please answer my question. How do you know your tongues are authentic? Also I never said that speaking In tongues was just a Pentecostal thing , I’ve seen baptists speak it as well and other denominations. I simply said when I was a part of the charismatic group that’s where I saw the majority of it happening. It’s a known fact that Pentecostal charismatics are the denomination that speaks in these tongues more frequently. Regarding quenching the spirit , again taking a scripture out of context. That here has nothing to do with speaking in tongues or spiritual gifts. Also, you’re speaking of spreading a false narrative about tongues yet those “tongues” speakers are among the ones in the body who Are literally taking a beautiful gift from God and turning it into something that is falsified and inauthentic leading a lot of individuals to other false doctrines attached to tongues. As I said I once believed this was the authentic tongues but it clearly isn’t according to scripture. I hope we can both continue to study the word and let the truth of the scriptures guide us. God bless you and happy new year 🙏🏽
@ again with respect, how was your “tongues”verified ? You said it was confirmed it was the Holy Spirit , but how? This is all experiential. The Bible says to test everything. And to not exceed what is written. Everything we do as believers must align with scripture. Our experiences are important , but if our experience does not align with scripture, we should question them not the word. I understand that you you experienced more fruit , but it’s not because you spoke in tongues . Every believer will have fruit in their lives. Since I stopped speaking in “tongues” I’ve drawn closer to God and the more I want to do the same things you did. Going to Church , reading the word resisting lust etc. but it had nothing to do with me speaking in tongues or not. It just speaks to the growth that I’ve experienced in my walk just like you have . There are many people I know who don’t speak in tongues and display the same desire to do these things so it’s not specific to tongues. It is not “deeper” than speaking in a language. Speaking in learned languages is not the gift of tongues. The gift of tongues are when people speak in languages they had NOT learned by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to do so. Like in Acts chapter two , they were speaking in KNOWN languages that they hadn’t heard or learned before. And the Holy Spirit is not speaking through you, why would God need to speak through anyone toward himself ? The Holy spirit empowers people to speak a language you had not yet learned. And how can you say people like John Wycliffe did the dirty work for me when I literally study scriptures and the Greek for myself. Weather people have taught theses things or not we can’t change the Greek and other original languages. I started to study this before I ever found Corey’s channel so I am seeking God for myself.

If we know what speaking in tongue is, and for who, why do we still speak in tongue at church? 1 Corinthians 14:22 English Standard Version Anglicised 22 Thus tongues are a sign not for believers but for unbelievers, while prophecy is a sign[a] not for unbelievers but for believers. 1 Corinthians 14:5 English Standard Version Anglicised 5 Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up. Thanks for sharing and God bless.

I've only heard legitimate tongues spoken one time in my life at first assembly church when I was young. We were in the middle of service and out of nowhere a woman stood up and spoke a language that I've never heard before. Everyone was quiet while she spoke. A few minutes later after she sat down another woman translated what was said. I never heard anyone speak tongues like that since. What we hear today is gibberish. There is never an interpreter and for an entire church to speak in an unknown language with no interpretation means no one is being edified. That is not real tongues. It's a man made counterfeit. If it was Spirit led there would be interpretation as it is written in scripture. The church of Corinth had to be corrected and told how the spiritual gifts are used in a church setting. God's Spirit never goes against the Word. So all these emotional counterfeit tongues being spoken are not genuine. If they were then they would be silent as it is being spoken and interpretation would immediately follow so everyone in attendance is edified.

Suppose a man says "I sure would like employment, but I don't want to look for a job." Should I believe his sincerity? Does he blame God for him not having a job? I don't know, but what about a man who says, "It's the Holy Spirit's fault that I don't speak in tongues. I know the apostle Paul wrote "I would that ye all spake with tongues. and he also said that what he wrote were the commandments of the Lord, and he also commanded that we earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but I still see it as the fault of the Holy Spirit that I don't speak in tongues. In fact, if God were to ever ask me why I don't speak in tongues, I plan on just pointing the finger at the Holy Spirit and tell him that it's his fault. That's going to be my plan of action." Should I listen to him? Assuming me to be of the Burger King generation where I like to have things my way, how might I do a customer satisfaction survey on such a one as that? Would I say I was much encouraged by what he said or not? Were the tables clean or not? I remember reading about how king David strengthened himself in the Lord his God at Ziklag, and we can also strengthen ourselves in the Lord too, as the Psalmist also often did. If I keep the commandments of God, and if I value his gifts of the Spirit, if I don't laugh at them as some suggest the Devil does, but rather, if I honor God in the reverential fear of the Lord, I also may receive of him. Let those who dishonor him be the ones who get turned away. I don't want to be among them.
Corey has been doing wonderful job explaining this. He is correct. I see responses from some brothers claiming that they speak to God and God knows what they are speaking. I want to give you 2 pieces of information. 1) We can see that in church of Corinth, Pual addresses they are ignorant of two spirits. One spirit speaking in a tongue that cursed Jesus and other Spirit spoke Jesus is Lord. Paul warned them about old nature. They served a pagan god in a Temple of Delphi where a priestess named Pythia had gifts of prophecy and tongues from this Greek pagan god. She practiced these 2 gifts intermittently. Once she prophesized (oracle) future by speaking in tongues which was interpreted by another person and other times, she prophesized in several known languages that many visitors of this temple understood. This tongue was from Satan. So those who are speaking in a tongue without interpretation can be cursing Jesus like people in Corinth did. Please pray for interpretation or do not take risk of speaking something that you don’t know like the video clip showing Satan will be laughing at you cursing Jesus. Once I also spoke in a tongue, but I stopped to avoid this risk that this can be a counterfeit gift from Satan like priestess Pythia in Delphi temple had during those times when Paul wrote this. This unknown gift of a tongue is only seen just in 1 Corinthians
Brother Corey, the Holy Spirit gives us different gifts! Everyone does not have the gift of Tongues! People I Read and Study GOD'S WORD of TRUTH! Yes, Brother Corey , we all have the same Trials and Tribulations in life! GOD says, we are All the Same! No one is any Better than the Other people!
It seems that many who do, do so out of wanting to appear super spiritual. Ive always been intrigued by this gift and wanted to know why I had not been given the gift.
it is ok to want to be super spiritual. Paul said, eagerly desire tongues but also eagerly desire the greater gifts. Eagerly desire to be spiritual and have as much of the Holy Spirit you can believe for. If you being evil give good gifts to your children, how much more with the Father give those the Holy Spirit who ask.
How can Corey tell if tongues are fake or not? If he says someone speaks in tongues and he says they are fake (they are not from the Holy Spirit but are from another spirit or satan) He is doing the same thing the pharisees said to Jesus when he case out demons by the Holy Spirit and they said it was by some other spirit (the prince of demons) Jesus cast out demons. He said they blaspheme the Holy Spirit, (no Jesus himself although if it was Jesus that could be forgiven). A sin that would never be forgiven. That is what Corey is doing. I think he should stop. He said he had tongues, then he said, they were not tongues from the Holy Spirit. Just STOP Corey from digging yourself a bigger hole. You can think what you want but when you tell people publicly, you blaspheme the Holy Spirit.
@ who me no I didn’t quench the Spirit I just learned it was a taught and learned behavior then better then anything the Word of God teaches the the purpose of Tongues and everyone just speaking in a setting well just go read study properly divide the Word.
@ I’ve never heard him talk about the goodness of God, the sovereignty of God and nothing else that empowers. Just a bunch of scriptures that he removes the power and purpose from. Sad! Pray for him.🙏🏾
@ You’ve obviously not read the Old Testament, for example, Isaiah and Jeremiah. Even Christ’s message was loaded with corrective messages. To correct heresy is to glorify Truth, that is, God.
The friend I know is an Evangelist in Pakistan. That prays over the sick in the brick kilns. He speaks in tongues to heal them. He's Pentecostal 😭. He does teach the cross and the gospel. He's language is Urdu. He does speak some English. I sure wish I could share this to him
You know the the Spirit heals though him and speaks in tongues through him and you are going to try to convince him tongues are fake be showing him a false teacher like Corey? LOL LOL
@FishermanBubb he said he makes sounds when praying because he desires the gift but the Spirit has not given him the gift as yet. I listen to him a lot and he has said this out of his own mouth.
I did some digging online of the different types of groups that "speak tongues" and "manifest" just like those in Christian circles today. I found Muslims, Hindus, some native groups in Africa. What gives? Same spirit across all these groups? I don't think so. Thank you for this Bible Study
@FishermanBubb all I am saying is that the tongues (and manifestations) we see today among Christians are the same as the other religions, then we are missing something. Those videos I found are quite reveling. I am with Corey on this that if the tongues and manifestations we see today do not match up with what we have in the Bible, then we have missed it. The more I study this the clearer it is becoming. Thank you
My issues are not with brother Corey as a person. I just happen to agree with his conclusions from his study of the Bible...just like I have been doing. I also agree with you on some points regarding tongues (although I can't seem to see what Exodus 7 has to do with it, plus I think the context of 1 Corinthians 14:2 brings out a different meaning from what you have said). So I think the issue boils down to the authority of Scripture and how we interpret it. That can be debated until we are black and blue in the face. So, the side of the fence I chose to be on from two years ago, is to allow the Bible say what it means. My opinions do not matter at all. The Word of the Lord does. This has cost me dearly but thankfully not my salvation. In this case then, I choose to disagree. Thank you.
@FishermanBubbthe other thing not mentioned much is when one is truly born again of the Holy Spirit, there will be evidence of tongues as a defining attribute to being born again as required and explained in John 3v3. I hear many people say that being born again is not a requirement to be a Christian and it’s troubling indeed as there is way too much confusion over this topic. In my honest opinion it’s not too hard to understand that prayer in tongues and speaking in tongues outside the Gift of tongues is a Spiritual process where at times the Holy Spirit will intercede on our behalf at times and Speak through us versus the Gift of tongues which is altogether a different topic. I honestly believe too many get both mixed up or lump both together.
@FishermanBubbTongues go with Prosperity Gospel. Tongues-talkers are more spiritual, so they should have fewer problems. But tongues makes no difference; therefore, their tongues are an imitation.
There is a woman that often interrupts the worship at my church…she speaks a couple paragraphs in “tongues” (she is speaking in the native languages of Cree and Ojibway) then makes a general “prophecy” in English that makes no silly stuff about visits from Jesus or going to 3rd Heaven. It’s really only encouraging words from the Bible…I see that as Biblical tongues and not baby talk.
@FishermanBubbI had to edit a bit…her tongues are legit languages and spoken by many of the older saints. I always feel edified and it appears that pretty much all the congregation are.
1st Corinthians 14 [27] If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. [28] But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. If the Tongues are True according to Scripture there should be a interpreter.... One from the Church should interpret otherwise some one could say jibberish and iterpret it accordingly to Validate their Own purpose.
I understand the desire for clarity regarding the use of tongues within the church, and I agree that edification is essential. However, I believe there is a misunderstanding about how interconnected the body of Christ is. As stated in 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, there are different gifts but the same Spirit, and each gift is given for the common good. This means that, when used appropriately, tongues serve the body, even if their purpose isn't always immediately clear to everyone. Paul acknowledged that speaking in tongues can build up the individual (1 Corinthians 14:4), but he also emphasized that the ultimate goal is the edification of the church (1 Corinthians 14:12). This is where balance comes into play: while tongues may edify the speaker, the intention should always be to benefit the entire body, either through interpretation or mutual understanding. Referring to tongues as "fake" can create unnecessary division among believers, particularly those who are trying to deepen their understanding of spiritual gifts. We are called to unity, not division (Ephesians 4:3). It is important to approach these matters with love and understanding, recognizing that the Holy Spirit works differently in each of us for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:11). Instead of focusing on labeling or criticizing, let's strive to build up the body of Christ through all our diverse expressions of faith.
My wife and sister family are still pentecostal and not any person busts out in tongues when they pray. Only my brother in law brother does that. I myself left pentecostal becuase too much emphasis on some wonky things and wordly things (santa claus, spiderman, say and claim). Not any deep bible diving.
That is because you have the Holy Spirt, those who speak against the Holy Spirit or blaspheme him by saying his tongues are gibberish don't have the Holy Spirit.
The Biggest thing the devil and religion attacks is Tongues! I can tell you a lot that is different in my life than those who choose to be dry streams….
1st Corinthians 14 [27] If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. He was speaking to a church that had disorderly worship. They wrote Paul a letter about the problem and he said they should practice orderly worship. He also said women could not speak in the church. But this too was in response to a letter they wrote to him, the women would interrupt the service to ask questions, Paul said they should be silent and ask their husbands at home, not to every speak in the church. How could women speak in tongues or prophesy in the church if they must remain silent. About the things you wrote about. 1cor7 1
@@IAmR1ch Its Clear what the verse says... You should be very careful not to add to or take away/ Do Not Exceed what is written so that it fits or justifies how things are Done when the Bible teaches its wrong. I can answer you comment about Women in Church but its a Totally Different Topic than whats being discussed so No need to address it..I will say that the Answer is Also Very Clearly stated in the Bible and again Do Not Exceed what is written to twist the Word Of GOD to fit what Man wants it to be.
@@grimeydog4408 So you selectively pick out what suits you in the bible. Jesus said he would give us the Holy Spirit, and he did, it is speaking in tongues. If you don't want to believe it, then your reject the Spirit. That is why Paul said, I speak in tongues more than you all and I wish you all would speak in tongues, and forbid not the speaking in tongues. They both agree, but if they disagreed, I am going with Jesus and the Holy Spirit and I am going to speak in tongues. Because God is Spirit and his worshipers must worship him in Spirit (tongues) and in truth. These are the worshipers Gods seeks.
1st Corinthians 14 [28] But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. Very Clear Answer right here.
I have heard interpretation many times when I was younger. Satan has infiltrated the church with false teachers like Corey so no one desires the Holy Spirit (tongues) or any other gift.
Speaking in tongues has to be speaking in a foreign language unknown to the speaker but know and fully understood by the one hearing the same. The one who speaks in tongues speaks not by coaching, tutoring, human training but by the miraculous enablement of the Holy Spirit.
There is speaking in tongues and there is the gift of tongues and they are not the same as one is more about intercession where at times the Holy Spirit will pray through someone in groaning and intercession at times when one knows not what to pray as described in Romans8v26 And then you have the gift of tongues where one brings an interpretation for another who might not speak the native tongue of the one preaching or teaching and another brings the interpretation in that person’s own dialect. Too many try to lump both together and it should not be.
@ romans8v26. It definitely does talk about groaning in the Spirit.. Go to Bible beltway and type in Romans 8v26 or you can just do your own research because I find myself at times groaning in the Spirit and praying in tongues and I cannot deny it happens because it does happen.
@FishermanBubb 1Cor 14: 22, .. the tongues mentioned here are unknown language the God preach his message to those are unreached. This was according to the prophesy mentioned in Isaiah 28: 11,12, 1Cor 14:21. ICor 14: 26,27 ...... Paul speak of the church order in speaking and interpreting the unknown language to the congregation.
@FishermanBubb The prophesy of Isaiah 28:11 & 1 Cor 14:21, God said that he would let his message be known to the unreached through unknown languages. In Act 2 the disciples did not speak gibberish, they spoke a language which was clearly understood by those who heard them. Act 2:6,11. I have not yet heard of a foreign language spoken in church (as it was in Act 2) recorded and put up on RUclips. If you have any evidence please send me that . God bless.
The difference for me Corey is simply an intimate, biblical, manifestation of God’s spirit. I can give experiential evidence that’s consistent with biblical accounts. I have a translator on my phone that gave the truth. I can talk about this in detail. I loved Acts 10.
@FishermanBubb Corey doesn't want anything to do with the Holy Spirit so he speak against Him and blasphemes him, and belittle anyone who has the Holy Spirit and speaks in tongues, poor sister Martha. Through stammering lips, stammering lips is not a language, and OTHER languages which suggests it is not the native language of the people.. This is speaking in tongues by the Holy Spirit or other languages.
Then why would anyone even debate tongues. Because people who say tongues is gibberish are saying tongues is not from the Holy Spirit, they speak against the Holy Spirit a sin which Jesus said will never be forgiven. Good reason not to speak about tongues unless you know what the Holy sirit says about it.
Well for me the tongues that I seen and heard and experience is greater than those people that are written in the book, he's the great I am, not the great i was
Glad to see you cover this. So many obsess over these gifts but the only proof they can offer is "trust me bro." People think they need supernatural proof to believe or feel valid. Also people take words that Jesus told the apostles as meant for all. With all the claims of gifts, I have yet to see one that wasn't a lie or just people getting high off feelings. The Bible is a drug for many where they desire to be special and have powers to heal, but won't just help others without miracles. They just want to point and click and say "your healed" so ppl are amazed. The crowd that obsesses over powers, and special titles, or prophecies tend to make Christianity look foolish. God is very real, yet people will focus on everything that isn't real and they get very triggered if you call out any of these lies. Everytime I've asked tongues speakers to explain why they can't just pray plainly or ask if they believe tongues can somehow make God answer better, they just attack my salvation, get nasty, and say "If you had the *_real spirit,_* you wouldn't ask me about it" which is a cop out to avoid answering. If miracles that break the laws of nature were happening as often as its claimed, we'd have at least one video to prove it, but not even one Even though its frustrating, I still have a heart for them. Its just sort of childish and tends to attract newer Christians who like to imagine being chosen, "lightworkers", indigo children, apostles, prophets, or other titles. A lot of them get an ego where they'll talk down to others and have lots of pride in the things they imagine. I used to get mad, but now I just think of them like children who need feel better about themselves so they pretend. God is so amazing that he can do miracles without needing to break the laws of reality and he saves real miracles for his message
Now the mistake is that tongues are Not suppose to be spoken in public without an interpertation. If you don't speak in tongue you don't have the Holy Spirit and you CAN'T go to heaven.
I grew up in some CRAZY churches dude. It’s blasphemy In Hebrew Greek and Latin, tongue was the word for language. Lingua Latina, the Latin tongue, is how you say the Latin language. Speaking in tongues is a poetic, old world way of saying speaking a foreign language. As well, lingua franca has been adopted in English. Same concept
It’s sad when “Christians” speak against the things of the Spirit, simply bc they do it themselves and haven’t encountered the Holy Spirit. I wonder what God thinks of making fun of his people that actually flow in the Spirit as disciples of Jesus. Big difference in being a Christian, and truly being a disciple. If you don’t want to pray in tongues, then don’t, but it is soooo unfruitful to criticize those that do. Why are we even wasting energy doing this? Love your Brother and Sister in Christ. If you want to judge them, judge righteously, and not when they simply have an intimate prayer language with the Father that you don’t. Cmon we gotta unite in 2025. We aren’t criticizing yall for “not” praying in tongues. It’s all about intimacy with that Father. Let them be and do something fruitful.
It's not "praying in tongues" or "speaking in tongues" that's the problem, but the fakery that passes for speaking or praying in tongues. It's way better to go with what's actually in the Bible.
15:39 - there was no marveling mentioned in Acts 19:6-7. And when Paul laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying. There were in all about twelve men. To all those watching make sure you follow the pattern of those in Berea. Acts 17:11 - they examined the scriptures daily to see if the things Paul was speaking were true. Corey has great points but it seems that he admits some related verses that would seem contrary to his point. In 1 Corin 14:18-19 Paul thanks God that he speaks in tongues more than the church of Corinth. So is this the Holy Spirit making Paul speak in tongues this much or is Paul exercising His desire/will to speak in tongues. God gives the ability for us to pray to him. You don’t have to wait for the Holy Spirit to make you pray. Jesus said WHEN you pray not when the Holy Spirit makes you pray.Shalom
Corey, saw your conversation with Marcus (last year) I appreciate your perspective on tongues, but I believe there are several key areas where your argument in that video didn't fully align with the biblical context of tongues, especially as Paul addresses it in 1 Corinthians 14. I want to share some thoughts. 1. **Peter and the Interpretation of Languages:** You mentioned the idea that Peter was interpreting languages in Acts 2. I believe there is a misunderstanding here. In Acts 2:6-8, people from different regions heard the disciples speaking in their own native languages, which required no gift of interpretation. Peter wasn't interpreting languages; rather, he was explaining the situation. This event was a sign, demonstrating the power of the Holy Spirit during a significant transition. This differs from Paul’s description in 1 Corinthians, where tongues are to be interpreted in public. 2. **Personal Edification:** In 1 Corinthians 14:4, Paul states, “Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves.” (Greek: ὁ δὲ λαλοῦν ἐν γλώσσαις ἑαυτὸν οἰκοδομεῖ - "the one speaking in tongues builds himself up"). This indicates that tongues also serve as a form of personal edification. Paul didn't dismiss this practice; rather, he recognized its value when practiced privately. The issue in corporate settings was about maintaining order and ensuring the church's edification, which is why Paul provided guidelines on how tongues should be used publicly (1 Corinthians 14:27-28). The Greek word for edification here is οἰκοδομή (oikodomē), meaning "building up" or "constructing." To suggest that tongues have no value in personal edification overlooks what Paul himself said. 3. **Paul’s Own Use of Tongues:** In 1 Corinthians 14:18, Paul explicitly states, “I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.” Paul's use of tongues is documented there to validate his understanding of why he believes it edifies a person and or communicates to God. 4. **Corporate Worship and Order:** Paul’s concern in 1 Corinthians 14 isn’t about the validity of tongues but rather the need for order in the corporate gathering. In verse 28, he says, “If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God.” The Greek for "keep quiet" is σιγή (sigē), meaning "to be silent" or "hold one's peace." This doesn't negate the practice of tongues, but rather ensures that the church is edified in an orderly fashion. It’s clear that tongues, when used in a corporate setting, should be interpreted to benefit the congregation. However, Paul’s directive to speak quietly (to heauton - "himself") illustrates that the gift still holds value, even in a public setting, as long as it’s not disruptive or lacking understanding. Cor 14:22 was used to mirror Isaiah 28:11-22 where the Israelites couldn't understand Assyrians to signify those (israel) who had rejected God's message receiving no edification (Judgement on unbelievers). Which is why tongues should be interpreted so that unbelievers can understand without thinking everyone is crazy & can come to Christ. 5. **Interpretation of Tongues:** The gift of interpretation is crucial when tongues are spoken publicly. Paul encourages that if there is no interpreter, the one speaking should remain silent. In 1 Corinthians 14:5, Paul says, “I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy.” The Greek word for prophecy here is προφητεύω (propheteuō), meaning "to speak under divine inspiration." Paul is not dismissing tongues but is encouraging the church to pursue gifts that build up the body in an intelligible way. The ability to interpret tongues ensures that the church can be edified through these expressions. 6. **The Nature of Tongues:** As Paul stated in 1 Corinthians 14:2, “For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit.” The Greek word for "mysteries" is μυστήριον (mystērion), which refers to hidden, divine truths that are not fully revealed to human understanding. This shows that speaking in tongues is a means of communication with God, and even if others do not understand it, it is still meaningful in private. It's important to note that we as the body are not separated, if one is edified all will benefit, I don't believe the body will ever be about selfish narratives although the idea can be used in debates we know it isn't the biblical way to think of the body.
5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You[c] must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”[d]
First of all, Paul clearly states 2 things. 1) All gifts must be profitable for all parts of the body and 2) To desire gifts that will be profitable for all parts of the body. Paul understood what he spoke to God in Chapter 14:15-17, He prayed in spirit and he sang in spirit and in verses 16 to 17 clearly tell what Paul spoke. Paul says he gave thanks to God by praying and singing in spirit but other persons next to him did not say amen to what Paul spoke because that person did not understand but Paus did understand. Paul also spoke mysteries to God which God revealed those mysteries by giving him revelation and prophecy. Paul was edified with evidence then he also used revelation and prophecy to edify the church. We need ask these questions and make the right call.1) Does an unknown tongue speaker know what he or she speaks to God? NO 2) Does this person receive revelation and prophecy from God while speaking mysteries? NO 3) Are there any objective evidences that this person was personally edified? NO 4) Is this person a special part of the body of Christ? NO 5) Does God need a language for some children to speak to Him and to ignore other children without this language? NO
What are you talking about. Tongues is God's idea. 1Co 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. Who are you to tell God what he can and cannot do? He's sovereign. It is in the Bible. Either all scripture is God breathed or it is not....
What that scripture means is, if you speak in a language that I don't understand you're speaking to God brother, because I don't understand what you're saying, that's what he is saying it's a mystery to me, because I don't understand that you speak in Spanish for instance, if I speak English, I don't understand you. So you must be speaking to God, you might be praying to God, but it aint edifying me any, because I have no idea what you're saying. You're not testifying to me about jesus because I don't understand what you're saying in spanish and I only know english. That's what that scripture means in contex
😂your Daughter 😅😅😅 Awsome Live!!!!! Especially that you may Prophecy 😮spreading the Gospel!!!!! Wow yes so true!!!!!! A bit Misunderstanding for a lot I think!!!!!
I'm Bible checking Bro Corey and so far he is right Acts 1 records them being in the upper room the 120 together but Acts 2 tells of them being together in one place and the day of Pentecost and Peter and the 11 were filled and spoke with other tongues
Cory, I agree with everything you're saying, except when you say the one who is speaking in tongues doesn't know what he is saying. If the one who is speaking in tongues doesn't know what he is saying, how then is he being edified ? The passage says, he edifies himself which means he must know what he is saying.
1 Corinthians 13:1... Is a reference to Unbelievers and BELIEVERS... angels are messengers of God. If you have the Spirit of God then you have the MESSAGE Of God... THE GOSPEL YOU are a ministering SPIRIT if you are IN the SPIRIT.
@ I appreciate your comment. Very well said. I will never cease to study these very important topics as I continue to grow in Christ. God bless you!
@@davidrexford586 comment appreciated. I pray we all continue to be so passionate about these issues God bless you!
@ thank you! Very well and kindly said!
@FishermanBubbis that the mental gymnastics you do to not read the Bible how books are meant to be read? Beginning to end, in context….
@FishermanBubb I've never fell for Tongue talking gibberish and I Thank The LORD and have been told many things by tongue talkers
@FishermanBubb Yes...But it wasn't Gibberish

@FishermanBubb Beautiful!
Dang this was early Corey. I hate that I missed this because I am so passionate about addressing this. This has to stop in the Church.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God *knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God*
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

The saddest thing I’ve heard from someone was how hearing those fake tongues lead them to not what to go to a church. Gibberish does nothing but puff up the person speaking.
“Therefore, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak in tongues. But all things must be done properly and in an orderly manner.”
1 Corinthians 14:39-40
Yes, that was until real tongues had ceased!
@@chicagogal Right! Shamefully, there will always be those people who try and hang on to fake tongues. Smh
Stop holding on to something that ceased during the days of the Apostles. The tongues that are spoken today are real languages.
Acts 8:15 (KJV) Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
Acts 8:16 (KJV) (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Acts 8:17 (KJV) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
This verse is proof that just being baptized does not equate to receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit.
These believers were saved and baptized and yet the apostles had to travel a great distance to lay hands on them so that they received the Holy Spirit.
Is their salvation experience different than ours.

Good morning. I don’t believe everyone has to speak in tongues, but it is genuinely God. YES.
( Acts 2)
Every gift is verifiable.
Also, you’re speaking of spreading a false narrative about tongues yet those “tongues” speakers are among the ones in the body who
Are literally taking a beautiful gift from God and turning it into something that is falsified and inauthentic leading a lot of individuals to other false doctrines attached to tongues.
13:40 "Give an example of people who continue to speak in tongues after they had previously heard of or spoken" is the church at Corinth. Cory is just making up criteria to support his argument 😅.

You're right.. Saul changed his name to Paul because he was ashamed of his past..
And we as people can misinterpret the text and think that we're right and that goes for all of us❤
Hopefully, you will help some people to see the truth, Corey.
As the Spirit gives utterance...
I stopped speaking in unintelligible tongues when I realized wait a minute. This does absolutely nothing for me, and God understands English.
@ who me no I didn’t quench the Spirit I just learned it was a taught and learned behavior then better then anything the Word of God teaches the the purpose of Tongues and everyone just speaking in a setting well just go read study properly divide the Word.
This is Very Prideful My Brother. Where and how is Jesus being Glorified in/through this. Carnal vs. Spirit.
Rebuking prideful counterfeit gifts is prideful?
@counterfeit according to who? Someone who can’t discern because they have denied the power of the Holy Spirit?
This is hardly a channel that glorifies God. Other channels love and glorify God, not Corey so much.
Exactly! These folks go too far because of wrong teaching and understanding about speaking in tongues.
LOL LOL
John Piper actually said he desires to speak in tongues but the Lord has not given him that gift
@FishermanBubb he said he makes sounds when praying because he desires the gift but the Spirit has not given him the gift as yet. I listen to him a lot and he has said this out of his own mouth.
@FishermanBubb it was on one of his DesiringGod videos on tongues. It's been a few years but no more than a decade
@FishermanBubb well I agree that it's not just charismatics that do it
I did some digging online of the different types of groups that "speak tongues" and "manifest" just like those in Christian circles today.
They still have issues as well.
@FishermanBubb You are not biblical. Tongues ceased during the days of the Apostles.
You got a witness 23:34
@FishermanBubb❤✝️🙌🙌 praise Jesus brother! He gets all the glory!!! Much love in Christ brother 🙏have an awesome New Year’s Eve 🙂
I once was invited to a church where suddenly everyone started to blabbering at once. I heard no language just blabbering.
1st Corinthians 14
[27] If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.
TO LET OTHERS KNOW OF THE GREAT THINGS THAT HAS HAPPENED
My wife and sister family are still pentecostal and not any person busts out in tongues when they pray. Only my brother in law brother does that. I myself left pentecostal becuase too much emphasis on some wonky things and wordly things (santa claus, spiderman, say and claim). Not any deep bible diving.
This lesson is FIRE 🔥🔥🔥 I learnt SO much! - thank you Cory! (I mean no offence by using caps, I'm just excited)
TEACH COREY!!!
I speak in tongues at Will!
“Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water”.
That is because you have the Holy Spirt, those who speak against the Holy Spirit or blaspheme him by saying his tongues are gibberish don't have the Holy Spirit.
Isn’t the word more important because wasn’t the point of tongues to spread the gospel to different languages?
COREY, let’s have a legitimate dialogue on this subject of tongues… Is that doable? Sorry I missed the broadcast when it was live.
He has Q and A on Fridays
The Biggest thing the devil and religion attacks is Tongues!
I can tell you a lot that is different in my life than those who choose to be dry streams….
1st Corinthians 14
[27] If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.
[28] But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

Every charismatic, tongue speaking pentecostal skips these verses.
1st Corinthians 14
[28] But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
Very Clear Answer right here.
What i always wonder ,is how no one has the gift of interpretation 😢
I have heard interpretation many times when I was younger. Satan has infiltrated the church with false teachers like Corey so no one desires the Holy Spirit (tongues) or any other gift.
Speaking in tongues has to be speaking in a foreign language unknown to the speaker but know and fully understood by the one hearing the same. The one who speaks in tongues speaks not by coaching, tutoring, human training but by the miraculous enablement of the Holy Spirit.
There is speaking in tongues and there is the gift of tongues and they are not the same as one is more about intercession where at times the Holy Spirit will pray through someone in groaning and intercession at times when one knows not what to pray as described in Romans8v26
And then you have the gift of tongues where one brings an interpretation for another who might not speak the native tongue of the one preaching or teaching and another brings the interpretation in that person’s own dialect.
Too many try to lump both together and it should not be.
@davidrexford586 Romans 8 does not say groaning in tongues, praying as the holy spirit enables one to pray in one's own language to God.
Lived Acts 10….typo
He blasphemes and speak against the Holy Spirit (tongues) The Spirit does not speak against himself.
BUT THAT GREATEST OF ALL IS LOVE
THEY MARVELED
THE WORD
ALL SCRIPTURE IS GIVING FOR INSPIRATION . THE WORD SHALL NOT RETURN VOID
If miracles that break the laws of nature were happening as often as its claimed, we'd have at least one video to prove it, but not even one
Even though its frustrating, I still have a heart for them.
Tongues were spoken by the prophet Joel. The promise is for you, you children and foreigners or those far off. The promise of tongues is for everyone.
The word of Truth is more important...hands down
Now the mistake is that tongues are Not suppose to be spoken in public without an interpertation. If you don't speak in tongue you don't have the Holy Spirit and you CAN'T go to heaven.
Wow Corey! This was an epic fatality 😅😅. Always knew they were speaking vain babblings... Shabarabapunna 😂
I tink speaking in the language of angels is speaking in love, like the native tongue of satan is lying.
I grew up in some CRAZY churches dude. It’s blasphemy
In Hebrew Greek and Latin, tongue was the word for language. Lingua Latina, the Latin tongue, is how you say the Latin language. Speaking in tongues is a poetic, old world way of saying speaking a foreign language. As well, lingua franca has been adopted in English. Same concept
The Word is most important
A known language
Corey, saw your conversation with Marcus (last year)
I appreciate your perspective on tongues, but I believe there are several key areas where your argument in that video didn't fully align with the biblical context of tongues, especially as Paul addresses it in 1 Corinthians 14. I want to share some thoughts.
1. **Peter and the Interpretation of Languages:**
You mentioned the idea that Peter was interpreting languages in Acts 2.
2. **Personal Edification:**
In 1 Corinthians 14:4, Paul states, “Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves.” (Greek: ὁ δὲ λαλοῦν ἐν γλώσσαις ἑαυτὸν οἰκοδομεῖ - "the one speaking in tongues builds himself up").
3. **Paul’s Own Use of Tongues:**
In 1 Corinthians 14:18, Paul explicitly states, “I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.” Paul's use of tongues is documented there to validate his understanding of why he believes it edifies a person and or communicates to God.
4. **Corporate Worship and Order:**
Paul’s concern in 1 Corinthians 14 isn’t about the validity of tongues but rather the need for order in the corporate gathering.
5. **Interpretation of Tongues:**
The gift of interpretation is crucial when tongues are spoken publicly.
6. **The Nature of Tongues:**
As Paul stated in 1 Corinthians 14:2, “For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God.
@breakfastforyousoul It says "no man understands....speaking mysteries..." This is a tongue unknown to any man
😂your Daughter 😅😅😅
Awsome Live!!!!! Especially that you may Prophecy 😮spreading the Gospel!!!!! Wow yes so true!!!!!!
A bit Misunderstanding for a lot I think!!!!!
Brother Corey, No one Spoke in tongues, until Acts 2.
What is interesting is that we all spoke the same language until the tower of babel. Where God confused our languages.
Most charismatics don’t even know how to spell exegesis or hermeneutics. Sadly their experiences have greater authority than the Scriptures.
Good stuff !
Can you please send the link to the tongues cartoon?
I'm Bible checking Bro Corey and so far he is right Acts 1 records them being in the upper room the 120 together but Acts 2 tells of them being together in one place and the day of Pentecost and Peter and the 11 were filled and spoke with other tongues
Cory, I agree with everything you're saying, except when you say the one who is speaking in tongues doesn't know what he is saying. If the one who is speaking in tongues doesn't know what he is saying, how then is he being edified ? The passage says, he edifies himself which means he must know what he is saying.
That animation video is the best man 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Point taken... Same
1 Corinthians 13:1... Is a reference to Unbelievers and BELIEVERS... angels are messengers of God. If you have the Spirit of God then you have the MESSAGE Of God... THE GOSPEL
YOU are a ministering SPIRIT if you are IN the SPIRIT.
And it is a common thing in scripture for unbelievers and believers to be separated by the Words MEN and SONS OF GOD.. ANGELS.
Corey is the Truth!!!
No. Jesus is the Truth. Don’t blaspheme.
Jesus is the Truth.
