I use army painter green tone and get good results as well. I will try this method next thanks!

Military Shader has a slight brown hint to the green but good to know another green wash would work.

As I have purchased the Waterloo starter set I was just wondering about painting the included field British gun. Thanks for the great video and please keep up the good work sir.

British guns had the wood of the carriage painted blue-grey. I used Army Painter Wolf Grey on the one seen in an earlier video.

Glad you think so! Barrels are probably the easiest part to paint over so no worries.

I like the look of this method,i have a covenanter saker canon i might try this on although i think their gun carriages were more yellowish.

Soft Tone might be a better wash for the wood than Military Shader in that case I think.

They were painted in a similar manner as napoleonics era guns. I would say green, grey, blues would .be acceptable for ECW period guns. I actually just did a saker in green.
