As I have purchased the Waterloo starter set I was just wondering about painting the included field British gun. Thanks for the great video and please keep up the good work sir.
They were painted in a similar manner as napoleonics era guns. I would say green, grey, blues would .be acceptable for ECW period guns. I actually just did a saker in green.
This was a surprise vid that popped up in my feed. Great channel. Wish I found you earlier.
Thanks mate!
Thanks for this...it is exactly what i was looking for. Next to paint the crews!! and base them.
Glad to be of service! Enjoy the painting.
Good job as usual, thank you from France for your work, videos and sharing. Fab.
Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed the video.
I use army painter green tone and get good results as well. I will try this method next thanks!
Military Shader has a slight brown hint to the green but good to know another green wash would work.
Always wondered how to paint this stuff. Really helpful. Subscribed!
Thanks so much for the sub. Glad you find the content useful.
Nice simple job and very effective
Cheers Dom
Top notch job!
Thanks Phil
This is one of my shelf queens. This video will be an inspiration to get it finished. Thanks for sharing
Now that's one I haven't heard before! Glad it will get that gun painted!

Go back to his older videos , plenty of tips there for you
British guns had the wood of the carriage painted blue-grey. I used Army Painter Wolf Grey on the one seen in an earlier video.
Lovely work
Thanks mate
Looks really good!
Thank you
Great work Rory. 👍
Cheers buddy
Amazing! Very helpful video! Bummer I had already glued all my barrels to the cartridges but for next time! ;-)
Glad you think so! Barrels are probably the easiest part to paint over so no worries.
I like the look of this method,i have a covenanter saker canon i might try this on although i think their gun carriages were more yellowish.
Soft Tone might be a better wash for the wood than Military Shader in that case I think.
