I don't know why Indian movie albums do not release every background score, song, theme, etc. in their official albums. It's high time they start doing this as these pieces actually make us feel the mood of the film, other than being beautifully soothing in itself.
This is Oscar worthy. Really one of the best original scores in modern cinema history. Heart and soul of the film. Hats off to the composer.

Does it matter if you're Bengali or not, it's a beautiful music and everyone will enjoy this irrespective of their ethnicity. Why do Indiana have the audacity and desperation to bring their caste, religion or ethnicity in every conversation. It just sucks.
@@surajgupta7299 Perhaps for the same reason why India should celebrate the mixed music genre and music originating from people of various ethnic races. That is what India means. Indian music is not the one and only 'Indian language' or the 'HINDI' language as often the latter is also misrepresented. There lies Her identity as every music just like every language has one or many special characters that define them and should be recognized by the people of that state or race if not by the rest of India.

Tears in my eyes! When I saw Piku I instantly fell in love with this piece, somehow I didn't look for it in RUclips, now, today when the legend Irrfan Khan bid farewell, I hear someone who did its cover, with a heavy heart, I look for it... *Sigh* and finds it.

Some stranger sent this music piece to me few years ago.
I didn't know its name, who composed it, or even where it was from. One thing I was sure of was my instant liking for it.
Usually I delete messages from unknown people but this particular message containing the audio of the song, I kept safe because I didn't wanna lose out on this gem of a music.
Turns out it was from the movie, Piku, that I was watching a couple of days ago.
I was happily surprised on hearing it; I couldn't stop smiling like a kid to have finally found it.
Something about it is very comforting and reassuring.

This music makes me so nostalgic. Summer of 2015...Just out of school...An old single screen theater in Deshopriyo Park.... The years just flew by.
I think this is one of the most prolific reason why anupam roy recieved the filmfare in yhis glorious ruminating film and last but not theleast kudos to Sarod maestro pratyush bhatrachariya,thanks for playing such a soulful render

The music is so captivating that it evokes strong emotions every time I listen to it. It's so distractingly mellifluous that I have to stop everything and only listen to it. What can I say about Prattyush Banerjee except that the tunes of his sarod is powerful enough to move my heart. Every time. I wish, like others here, that this was a longer track. But as they say good things come in small packages. Perhaps you should always leave them longing for more. Congratulations and all the very best!
