Now, what the hell did you say? Just kidding hahaha!!! This is an awesome plant you have!!! Believe it or not I don't have caput medusae. I do have three in the caput medusae complex. Euphorbia flanaganii & Euphorbia murii. My myriostigma dried a little too much this winter and lost quite a few branches but still looks good. And I have an unidentified one I haven't seen bloom so I'm not sure what it is. Looks like your caput medusae really did need a repot!! Looks pretty tightly wound!! I also noticed it has a new head forming at the end of one branch!! That's great!!!👍 I always use top dressing on my plants too it really makes them "pop"! I like terra cotta also! The only thing is like you said they can kinda stick in them. Makes one lose the pot sometimes. Cause if they stick too much, I get the master key to unlock them!! (Hammer!) Sometimes this is better than trying to pry or shake them out. Less damage to the plant !! And terra cotta pots are fairly cheap. Thanks for sharing your great plant !! From Morris park in the Ozarks, to across the Emerald isle, Peace,Love,Plants!!!!✌💖🌵🌸🌿🌷🌳💐🌲🌹🌴🌻

hahahaha Clyde :-D the names of these plants really are tonguetwisters :-D yes this Medusa head was so desperate for a repot and I notice my medusa head Euphorbia's lose a lot of their branches and they go brown and fall off when I know they need a good repot, hahaha at the Master key the good old Hammer, I have had to crack open many clay pots with the hammer in the past as the roots have stuck to the inside of the pot :-D thanks so much Clyde for your wonderful friendship and amazing comment and support and for watching, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Deb and all the pets and plants all lots of love and happiness and PEACE, LOVE, PLANTS and PLANT POWER to Morris Park in the Ozarks for a terrific Thursday today XXXX

Super video, thanks for sharing Lyn! It's a sad thing to have to leave one's well loved plants, but at least they are still loved and taken proper care of by people who appreciate them, which is a beautiful thing. The Caput-Medusae looks right at home in it's new pot, fit for display in a botanical garden :) I tried sowing C-M this year but it didn't germinate. I'll try again next year. I've heard it's a difficult one to sow/cultivate. As for the plastic vs clay pot thing, I'm still very much experimenting, and the results are varied and not always in line with what I expected. Same goes for the extremely draining vs moisture retentive soil. I think I'll need another few years to gain experience : )

Sweet plant, Lyn! Bill would be proud I'm sure. We've had some lovely weather for 2 days, now it's freezing again...maybe even snow due. It's so tricky deciding how much to water at the moment. How are your huge cacti on the stairs? Best wishes to you both 😊

Thanks so much Marion :-D Bill was an amazing guy and wonderful plant grower, we have had some amazing weather here too but they have forecast very cold weather for the Easter weekend and although a lot of my plants in the polytunnel are in need of watering I am going to wait a little bit longer, yes haha the 3 huge cacti on the stairs are doing really well and the grow lights over them are really helping them to keep happy and healthy until its warm enough for them to go back outside again, I can't wait to get more space back in the house again haha, thanks so much Marion for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a terrific Thursday today XXXX

your soil seems kinda rich, how long does it take to fully dry out? i try to make it so it dries out in 3 days. but seems like thats actually kinda hard.. takes atleast 90% inorganics to reach that even with a small plastic pot (like it looks bone dry but if u take the plant out, its still moist in the middle. .dunno if thats okay XD

    • @desertplantsofavalon
