Been watching now for about a year. Before the corn binder anyway. Great job by the way. The merc is my favorite. I'd drive that all day long. We are more of a truck type people. We have eight trucks that were converted into tractors when the veterans came home home . They had land but no tractor, so the just put two transmissions in them , chained up the tractor tires and went farming. Six AA ford's, Studebaker, and a Graham brother's. I'd love to have skills like you have . We just go to tractor shows and drive them down on the beach on the coast of Washington State. If you ever get a vacation, and need a place to stay, we have the most beautiful place. Welcome any time. We have a tree house to stay in,and we sleep out there every night for two years. Just love old things and love your dog and music. Very talented with the videos and your personality. We love to laugh along and enjoy hearing you laugh. Nice positive attitude and friendly . Can I have a cup of coffee with you some time? Our home is one half a mile from Canada and five miles from Salt water. Between you and your dog it's a toss up to which one we like best. Wink Wink😉
Brent you make hard work look so easy, Never know what to expect when you start but know it will be great at the end. I like the engine choice for this swap. Knowing that it runs and drives and not guessing the History of the donor parts untill they are installed. Great video
This guy does more work in a day than most do in a month. I mean, c'mon man. I am always impressed. Did you see the way he was cutting the wires on that relay panel? He's done it so many times it's nothing to it. I don't miss an episode.
You need to make yourself a pair of sawhorses out of steel box tubing that you can sit a car on. Make them wide enough to sit on the frame where you would put your lift arms. You've got a forklift and the air over hydraulic hoist that will lift one end of a car at a time and then you can slide the sawhorses under it. Then you aren't working on the ground. Or the lumber stacks like lost of guys use to put under each wheel. I prefer the sawhorses. They come in handy a lot. And if you make them right you can make them nest into each other so they don't suck as bad to store. Keep it up. I'm inspired every time I watch you.
Nobody gets results faster than you. You see the best solution right away. Your fabrication knowledge eliminates roadblocks other builders would puzzle over for weeks (like me, if I was building). That first band you played was real tasty. Pablo looked like a cartoon dog with his mouth blowing in the wind. Good Boy PABLO ! 👍😎🕵🏾♂️🍺🎹🎸🎵👽🧙🏼♂️😈🥂
You seem to have an endless supply of parts & engine donors! That Monarch's gotta wear that sun visor on the back wall of your shop - if Pablo approves!
I wish I could see my Grand kids. With her rich parents my son ran out of attorney money. It sucks because now we can’t see them. Selfish people that want to eliminate a non violent or deviant parent from their children for selfish reasons are pathetic. The children need both parents.
Afternoon Brent....of course the battery is dead!!! I agree, pulling the entire cab/front clip off would be easier, front clip needs to come off anyway, I envy you Brent, you have the equipment to do just about anything!!! God gave me the tools & small shop that I have, so I'm happy with that!!...be safe....God Bless!!!
Great show, you killed it. By that I mean, you did more than two people would have done. Of course, you had that beast of a fork lift and your side kick dog Pablo (I believe is his name) there for support. But I am amazed at your knowledge and no fear go get him attitude to tear into these new projects. One day I hope I can be that same way, but I better hurry because I'm 70 and time is to be spend wisely.
I am enjoying your content, to me have someone who is welling to repair older parts and use common sense on car projects is almost unheard of today. Saying your doing a car project and sending it off to have everything done by someone else, it isn't really a car project you doing like I am see on other channels. I like the music.
The whole video is great but made special & perfect with Pablo's gums flapping in the wind at the end. People in the house thought I'd lost my mind laughing out loud at this crazy good boy. Wonderful stuff, Brent, please keep it up. 😃❤️🐶
Alot of people only dabble with new stuff modern cars but i would be in my element at yours with all the old stuff , theres just summit about there shape and stance classic old gangster cars 😁😁🤘🤘🤘🤘
Fishing in the good ....some surgical choices...donor at hand...extra goodies on the hunt....it's a mission GO.! CHEF WILL BE SERVING ENTREES SOON... MEAL TO FOLLOW...
love the work again. yes headers are a pain to get mounted on most anything, but the engine will produce way more and even be more fun to operate. keep doing your magic. peace
Great progress on the Merc. Engine in, cleaned interior and your rust assessment done. Good by me and everyone else. Never a dull or slow moment on your projects.
Brent, the best thing about you is that you genuinely enjoy working on these vehicles, wrecks, and relics LOL. That's what makes it so nice to watch and learn. Wish you were my shop teacher WAY back in high school. Keep em coming, love them all and thank you. Oh yeah, and the pups are and added bonus as well.
Mercury 's of the era had classic styling so much better than Fords, the car James Dean made famous, few know Dean had a 55 Chevy 210 Del-Ray and the Porche before he died
Funny, when you were doing the brakes I looked up wheel cylinders on RockAuto. The rears interchange with a Ford E-150 to 1996. The fronts to Jeep CJ7 to 1977. You sure got a lot done in one day. Thanks for sharing your Garage Time with us.
The original color inside the doors is actually pretty cool. All the Ford donor vehicles in Saskatchewan must last forever cause all I see in your yard is GM and a Dodge here and there
What car! The body lines, trim, doors, just way cool. I love your German Short-Hair and hope it’s a male. I can tell you on Facebook if female. Tech tip; The “LS” engines have cast steel exhaust manifolds and on aluminum heads if re-using need a tiny bit of quick work. The broken bolts frt. & RR are from expansion & contraction of the heads. If re-using, take a large rat-tail round file, Chuck in drill, put welders gloves on and a 4-6” conduit or water pipe on backside. Oblong holes 3/16” Fry/RR to allow for movement. Flatten the bolt flange w/angle grinder or other. Use flat washer under a new bolt. It will slide under washer and hole will not break it because you enlarged it. Works every time, even with headers after checking hole for room. Best of luck. I enjoy how you “Get-R-Done”. As Larry the Cable Guy lives in Ponca, NE., about 85 miles South of Omaha. He is a very charitable guy! So are you for sharing!!! I enjoy learning and watching! Even in my early 60’s and Retired. Automotive ASE Master Tech since 1978
Brent's Pull Engine 101: Unbolt, buzz off, cut off, dont fart around; grab ice cold Miller Lite, grab Pablo and cruise around in the General. Priceless! 🍻👍🕺🇺🇸🇸🇪
That car is super nice. Alot better than I thought. It would be nice to blast the underside and get rid of the crust and rust. The floor is very good considering. Blend the paint when you fix the rust and buff it. Add wide white walls and drive.
You make things look so easy.
One of the few true hot rodders left
That's how you can tell, experience. He's learned the ins and outs.
Another LS going to a better home than GM could have ever imagined!

I like to watch the old videos of the Mercury!!! Nice car.

No job to large, or to small, old saying nothing easy nothing good is free. One screw can sometimes give a hard time.
You can’t make a dog more happy then saying let’s go for a ride really enjoy your channel 👍
Pablo flappy face! Fantastic!
Best damn music on RUclips - almost went to sleep - I used a Cutlass diff. - narrow enough and good gears on 1985 and up
This guy does more work in a day than most do in a month. I mean, c'mon man. I am always impressed. Did you see the way he was cutting the wires on that relay panel? He's done it so many times it's nothing to it. I don't miss an episode.
LS fits awesome in the old Merc bay. 😎👍🇨🇦
I watch as much to listen to the good blues music as I do the automotive work .

A true innovator
always a treat to spend some time with you.👍
Constantly achieving. Cool projects.
She's coming right along. Great job and video 👍👍🇨🇱
You seem to have an endless supply of parts & engine donors! That Monarch's gotta wear that sun visor on the back wall of your shop - if Pablo approves!
haha that one is missing all the hardware but will have to find one for it yet
@@HalfassKustoms I’m sure you could manufacture the hardware you need if you had time. 👊
Thanks for sharing with us. Enjoyed it a lot. Always learning from you. 👊😀👍👉🇺🇸🇨🇦👈
The dog loved the ride at the end. Awesome..
You do a great job ... To me very brave cutting the wires
Really got a lot accomplished on this one today, my Grandson enjoyed it too! ✌🏻☺️🇺🇸🇨🇦
I wish I could see my Grand kids. With her rich parents my son ran out of attorney money. It sucks because now we can’t see them.
Selfish people that want to eliminate a non violent or deviant parent from their children for selfish reasons are pathetic.
The children need both parents.
I like your way, so simple so difficult. You are the best. keep that way.
You are a remarkable fabricator and all round builder
Damn everyone needs a forklift like yours , jealously said
O cachorro adora...bom trabalho pra vc...e Deus no comando 🙏
I always enjoy watching you work
Ole Pablo's has the life, one happy pooch.
Now that’s a cab over 😂 or not 👍 it’s amazing how much you get done by yourself 😎
Outstanding time lapse & tunes!!!
Easy see you have done this many times, make it look so easy. Love your channel. 👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺

Thanks!
I'm a retired motor mechanic from England I would love to come and help you do these builds I think what u do is brilliant keep up the great work
Great body and perfect engine for a daily year round driver. Drive the hell out of it.
Awesome progress. Keep those updates coming 👍👍👍👍
When I look at the rocker panels on a Chrysler Pacifica, your Mercury's are like new
I am enjoying your content, to me have someone who is welling to repair older parts and use common sense on car projects is almost unheard of today. You must own a shit ton of land. Really liking this build
Old Merc never die they just get a LS motor
another great video to spend lunchtime watching! now back to work!
Most definitely going to be a super cool ride 👍
The whole video is great but made special & perfect with Pablo's gums flapping in the wind at the end. People in the house thought I'd lost my mind laughing out loud at this crazy good boy. Wonderful stuff, Brent, please keep it up. 😃❤️🐶

Nothing is too daunting for Brent. Great video.

She'll be running next weekend awesome
👍🏻 Awesome video. You sure get a lot done for your projects!!! One project takes me a couple of years to get done.

That pup had me in stitches at the end!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Quite amazing. An artist at work.
Ha ha ha! Pablo space Wings in the end are solid gold
Pablo is such a good boy🐾 Nice work Brent...take it easy.
Here to watch another build..Glad I found your channel..thank you
Pablo loves to go cruising!
Mercury 's of the era had classic styling so much better than Fords, the car James Dean made famous, few know Dean had a 55 Chevy 210 Del-Ray and the Porche before he died
Thank you for demonstrating the break line flaring tool at least someone who knows exactly how to use it, you’ve probably done it a gazillion times
Funny, when you were doing the brakes I looked up wheel cylinders on RockAuto. The rears interchange with a Ford E-150 to 1996. The fronts to Jeep CJ7 to 1977. You sure got a lot done in one day. Thanks for sharing your Garage Time with us.

When the master cylinder fell out of the the vice at least I'm not the only one but mine falls in the dirt. Great ending with palpo in the roadster
You have very interesting projects 👍
Nice work. Still not a fan of an LS in the old Merc but I understand why. Look forward to seeing more progress. Be safe and stay well.
Another great video. You are an artist...
That doner looks better than my daily driver.
Lot of work to do. But you got a lot done to. Gonna be a great merc, enjoyed video and look for more
Cool project. I really loved the TOTALLY HAPPY flying lips by Pablo!
Hey Halfas'is I love your sound track, Rockin the Blues
Now that cleaning does it justice . great car

The sped up master cylinder disassembly was pretty funny. Especially when it flew off the vice.
haha yeah didn't like to be in there.
Sei un'artista della meccanica ti seguo sempre un saluto Gianni
I like my drive on for rocker work. I also got a display ramp from a dealership, i like em on the wheels to work on them.
I am still out with an injury. Gotta love working for Corrections.
Really look forward to your next project!
Gunna be an awsome cruser when done 😎👍👍🇦🇺
Just great... really enjoyed 😉
Keep it happening....
New Zealand 🇳🇿
Parts truck steers along rat raod way into Halfass hollow. You have a great collection
I always put the flare nuts on after I flare the tubing, but you do it your way. 😁
Kool music & super kool Tonka toys
Love the old Mercs
Man for 50 something . the floor pans look good I mean what I could see of them and you took all the interior out it doesn't look bad.
Shock and awe. Thats what i experienced the first time i saw Norm’s inventory.
Brent's Pull Engine 101: Unbolt, buzz off, cut off, dont fart around; grab ice cold Miller Lite, grab Pablo and cruise around in the General.
Priceless! 🍻👍🕺🇺🇸🇸🇪
Yeah maaan I love watching your show and old trucks and cars.
Love the background 🎵🎶🎵. Sounds like Jerri Garcia
Another awesome video that master tried fighting abit gonna be a nice ride
I will build something like this sometime.
Looks like some of Puddins fab shop fuzzy little friends where living inside LOL
Now that's funny shit there my brother
You make it look easy Brent! ;)
Nice job Brent!!
At last a car build on the cheap side. My first car was a 4 door 50 Merc…. Burned more oil than gas, but it got me there and back (most of the time)
Brent I think you missed your calling playing Tetris professionally! You dropped that cab on like it never came off! LIKE A GLOVE!
Man you make it look so easy
Rocking through this one! Its going to be an awesome driver!
Awesome, Good job. Great video. 👍
You always could make the trunk open like a rumble seat style, backwards? Always great my friend.
The double wall is for structural integrity
That car is super nice. Alot better than I thought. It would be nice to blast the underside and get rid of the crust and rust. The floor is very good considering. Blend the paint when you fix the rust and buff it. Add wide white walls and drive.
Watching your video’s shows me that an Ls swap is not witchcraft and one of these days i’ll put it to use in my c10 suburban.
