PoopyPantsMcgee Black pudding is dried pigs blood, in a sausage like form. It's quite traditional, especially up north, but as far as I'm aware most people don't include it with their English breakfast.. It just doesn't sound very nice. I've never tried it myself.
I've actually never heard of 'Meat Pie' before.. We have lots of different variations of meat pies, but I'm not sure of a specific one that goes by that name. My favourite is Chicken and Mushroom pie, which consists of those two ingredients, wrapped in a puff pastry outing. Really delicious. By 'Meat Pie', you might be referring to Pork Pie. They're often served cold and as a lunchtime snack, not a fan personally! Hope that helps :)

To be fair - yes there are better breakfasts in the UK but Weatherspoons really isn't that bad for the price.
Americans and Canadians always say our bacon is ham. Our bacon is the best. We also have your type of bacon but we call it streaky bacon. Our bacon is more meaty so it's must nicer. But I love all bacon. Can't discriminate.

bacon comes from the belly or the back your "bacon" comes from the butt so its ham ALSO BISCUITS ARE COOKIES
Ham is from the butt or thigh. Even tho our bacon (uk) looks like ham, it isn't. It is bacon, but just cut differently from American Bacon. We have a few different bacon types in England. Back bacon, streaky bacon, smoked, unsmoked etc.

Really good to see you in Great Britain and especially in Southampton :), I spent four years there while I studied at university. I hope you enjoyed your visit and hope you had a chance to explore while you were there.
Excellent! I was in Hampton about 6 months ago. I did not try an English breakfast (wish I had now) but did do Fish and Chips with a pastry for desert. Great people in England.

Spoons aren't all bad. The one near my uni is a renovated theatre from the 20's. Its gorgeous. The local lads don't go in because it looks too nice which makes it quite a decent place to go.

This is a really fun change from your normal food reviews. Nice job, Ken!
The fluffy chips are made by pre-cooking them for about 5 mins in the oil, then lifting them until the fat has reached the heat again and then fry them until they're done. Wonder how you do it in Canada?

Witherspoons, aww that made me embraced for the guys that took you there..........Ken, do us a favour and go to a nice greasy spoon cafe. Order a full english with black pudding, bubble and squeak and a nice cup of rosie. That's what put the "Great" in Great Britain.
i cant believe they took you to a weatherspoons, a small independent cafe or "greesy spoon" as we call them would have been much more appropriate

My parents and I went out for breakfast this morning, and I had blueberry pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, toast and a strawberry banana smoothie, and they both had eggs Benny and coffee.

KEEEEN! First of all welcome to England, its awesome you've come over because I've been watching your channel for ages. Secondly, don't Whether Spoons!! Its like the cheapest, most rancid restaurant franchise ever. It only exists because British people love a bargain but its no reflection to the quality you can find in places over here. And I'm afraid you haven't tried a FULL English without black pudding. I can't promise you'll like (I love it) but it's a must for a food reviewer. It may be Englands most bizarre and recognized food.

I should have guessed, you are a man of many experiences. Do you like? Maybe try it in England too if you have time and see if its as good. Also you must try some fish and chips with mushy peas and a dab (potato battered). A great treat with salt and vinegar.
British tip never eat at weatherspoons their food is made in factorys......

I work at Wetherspoons. We do not serve microwaved food. Everything is cooked to order. Only thing that is microwaved are beans.

Ken! Do a Mcdonalds roulette! Go up to the drive thru window and ask them to order you exactly the same as the car in front of you has ordered! You only come to know what it is when you receive your food!
When you were reviewing the sausage i was like please do not base your whole opinion of a traditional english breakfast from a sausage from 'spoons' that's probably made from 5% pork.
You're right though. Their chips are so good but if you put them on that breakfast it wouldn't be a full English anymore ;) Welcome to England!
Cumberland sausage comes in a swirl if it is a proper one. Lincolnshire sausages are full of sage.
For anyone who lives in Ottawa, come to Westboro and go to the Baker Street Cafe, AMAZING BREAKFAST! Reasonably priced, and a ton of awesome food!

For some reason my mind was blown at the size of the inside. I was told that everywhere in England was approximately the size of a shoebox and lit with lanterns.
hope you had another one from like a pub or something wetherspoons ones are horrible they are cooked from frozen where as at a pub or a cafe you get it cooked freshly with nicer products

i find wetherspoons quite good. i havent had the breakfast but i like the burgers.they dont come with mayo and you can add things like extra patties and sauces etc. the breakfast did look a little cheap looking. but overall spoons is decent

you need to try an Ulster Fry (ireland/northern Ireland) - instead of toast we have Soda Bread and Potato bread (no hash browns) really changes the taste and is awesome!

I’m here four years late, but have to say that Wetherspoons is the best value ever. It enables everyone to enjoy a drink and food. It probably saves the lives of millions of pensioners, because there is nowhere else to go that is affordable. It a very sociable place, for all ages and many youngsters go there too. I would be lost without Wetherspoons. I love the pubs and I think the founder is such a wonderful person. He is also a Brexiteer, thankfully, so now we have left the EU, we can expect that he will be doing far better deals than Boris, or Trump.
As the dems describe Trump supporters, you will see the middle/upper classes describing Wetherspoon patrons. Ignore everything, you will, without doubt and without loss of a small fortune, really, really, really enjoy visiting a Wetherspoons.

Ken, if you'd have done a 'one o'clock in the morning' bite, it really would have been one o'clock in the morning - Welcome to GMT! Also, you forgot the main ingredient, HP sauce (not brown sauce as IMHO there is no substitute). Should have had a slice of fried bread too, that's bread fried in a frying pan (skillet) in a little bacon fat.

Back in the day (in England) bacon was primarily smoked and streaky but not any more - I've been veggie for over 20 years now so it's not my problem but that "back bacon" which all my kids claim is bacon as it should be, is poor

what about the coffee? The most important part of breakfast is the coffee... was it comparable to your usual coffee or better/worse? I prefer our (US) very fatty bacon!!
