Okay, I disabled my browser extensions and it worked. I turned them on 1-by-1 while pretty much refreshing to determine the cause, but couldn't find it. Maybe I had the wrong way of doing it and will try again another time if necessary, or it was just a slight bug.
Hello learning lab! I followed up to 1:20 and turned all of my plugins off. I did this via my WP file manager plugin as this is how I control the site, but now every plugin is disabled I cannot access my WP File Manager or re-install any plugins. Is there anyway to change this back? Thank you!
Very helpful video and well explained, thanks for that, i now know that the problem is the htaccess file, but as soon as i click "safe changes", the new htaccess file is created, BUT with that the error is back and i again have no access whatsoever
Hi Sartul, In my opinion, from my experience and from a lot of unbiased Facebook polls, I believe that Siteground is the best and fastest host for an affordable price. In fact, I'm moving my sites from WPEngine to Siteground at the moment because it's way less expensive. I'm writing a mega blog post right now that explains the 25 reasons people like Siteground. You should check out their Speed Technology page: www.siteground.com/go/speed-technology1 Anyway, stay away from EIG/GoDaddy for sure. Siteground is not EIG or GoDaddy.
Just move to Siteground for over a month now. I have been with Bluehost for over 2 years. I do really appreciate their support team. Best ever with all the support they have created. It's not same as other hosting as I start with Godaddy and then Bluehost (Not much impressive). FYI to use Siteground with the best speed and effective which make Siteground different than other hosting beside the services I mentioned is about their plug in name SG supercacher. This is the key for those speed with their SSD server which needs to use Cloudflare via their setting. Hope this info is helpful. I never felt regret for moving to Siteground as the service team are so great. But need to learn quite a lot from what the setting environment they have. I have to leave Sitelock which I did paid already as I need to point the CDN to Siteground. @Bjorn Great video as always. Really appreciated the way you teach and share. Thanks a lot.
hi there i was tryng to add some videos to my playsits and ths message appears "Sorry, an error occurred while requesting storage access. Please try again later."........🥶 so at the end i can't add any new video , do you know what it is? and how can i fix this??? thanks a lot ! i have an Imac
Love your videos. Find them very useful. I apologize for putting this message into this video, but figured since it was the newest,....you might see it. I have 3 questions about CF7 ...1.is it possible to put some type of "placeholder" tag inside of a dropdown menu to save space on a form? 2. Is there a way to make all the dropdowns the same size on the form? (some are short,...some are long) 3. How do designers create these images or containers of like an arrow seemingly drawn by a marker overlaid on a background image that points to a nice looking container(sometimes in the shape of a phone, a rectangular box, or whatever shape) as the container for the CF7? Is there an easy way to do that?
Sorry for the delay, RUclips put your comment into my spam folder for some reason :( I usually see and answer all comments unless life is a little crazy at the time :) To answer your questions: 1. If I understand your question correctly, the first entry you put in the dropdown builder is a "placeholder". It can be anything you want it to be. I usually make it -- Select -- . You may find this video helpful if you haven't watched it yet: ruclips.net/video/KZGqjKL6Spk/видео.html 2. You can use CSS to define the width of dropdowns. By default, they take the width of the longest selection. This video explains the CSS to change the width of the dropdowns and the code is on a blog post linked to in the video description: ruclips.net/video/bKarC0QO5og/видео.html 3. I'm not sure what you're describing. Do you have an example you could show me?
Hi Bruno, you should be able to select 'show hidden files' when you open file manager or in the settings when you have file manager open. .htaccess if a hidden file that should be visible once that setting of activated. If that doesn't work I would contact your host's support.
thanks for excellent tutorial. i am in the backend of my hosting company and this is the error i see when i try to access wp. WARNING: IT APPEARS THAT WP IS NOT INSTALLED OR THAT THERE ARE FILES MISSING. any ideas, help? much appreciated.
Hi George, If you're with a good host I would contact their support to see if they can help you find out what the problem is. If you're not with a good host, their support won't be much help. So you have to do it on your own. I would try to figure out if the error message is correct. The WP files should be in the domain's folder on your hosting account. If they're not there then it may think WP is not installed. If the files aren't there, then try installing it again. Something may have gone wrong during the initial installation. If the WP files are there, there may be some files missing as the error suggests. I would go to WordPress.org and download the zip with all the WP files in it. Then unzip it on my computer. Then compare the files in your hosting to those from WordPress.org and make sure they are all the same files in your hosting account. There may be additional files in your hosting account in the themes and plugins folder, but that's ok. It's the files in the main folder, the wp-admin folder and the wp-includes folder that really matter. Instead of comparing all the files, replacing them may be easier. I show you how in this tutorial: m.ruclips.net/video/ZDBtdaY6VrQ/видео.html Hopefully you are with a helpful host and you can skip all the manual work, that'll make things WAY we easier! I hope that helps, let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for watching!
You can also add that you may have accidentally deleted your main index.php file. So just re create it and add the main index.php default WordPress code in there.
Sir, I cant open file Manager show as 403 Forbidden. how to solve this problme. I cant open my website wp-admin logging. kindly reply soon. I am try to import existing website zip file after website gone and other day file manager gone. what we do. Again reinstall wordpress website. kindly reply.
If you deactivate all your plugins, does it mess anything up? For example, if all my posts are made with Elementor and I deactivate Elementor, what will happen to my posts?
I went through all of this and none of those worked, turned out I just need to reinstall wordpress on my domain ( took me like 2 hours to figure that out xD). But never the less it is a very well done video and I learned a lot :)!
Hello! Very informative video! Thank you! Some visitors have complained that they get 403 forbidden error page and can't enter my site. I myself checked all links and work perfectly and can't test all these steps you mentioned at video as I don't face a problem... but others have... what should I do? I am losing lots of visitors and can't finger out what seems to be the problem... Please advise...:)
If the 3 ways to fix your 403 error from this video didn't work, then your next best step is to contact your host's support to see if they can see what the problem is. Good luck!
Hey, this recently happened to me. Everything was all fine, then I made a folder for scripts for games and hacks, and I tried to access a web and it say 403 forbidden

Hi Dorothea, Sorry for the delay. Have you fixed the problem? So when the .htaccess was on the error was 403 and when you turned .htaccess off the error changed to what you posted in the comment?

How i can change .htaccess without give give me the message?
If you're having trouble with your htaccess file editing, your best bet is to contact your host's support team. I would have to guess what the problen is without have access to cPanel. Sorry I can't be of more help!
Tried all 3 solutions and still have the 403 error. Oddly enough, it's only affecting my pdf file. All others work (jpeg., png, etc...). I uploaded the pdf file into the Media like the other files, but if I enter it and select the URL link (copy and paste URL into browser), it goes straight to the 403 error. "It appears you don't have permission to access this page. 403 Error. Forbidden."
OK. well I figured it out! I checked out the URL that the file was in using the C-Panel and noticed it was in uploads/woo-commerce_uploads instead. Moving it to uploads solved my problem. I just had to delete the original file and re-upload it. I think I must have placed the file as a "product download"
I recieved that number when i tried to recall a phone number i missed , i dont understand why , i am not on a computer and i have a hard time uderstanding of it
Hi Khaja, When you change the folder name back to 'plugins' the plugins should appear in the dashboard on the 'installed plugins' page. Thanks for sharing Sansern, Siteground seems to be providing a great service on all levels.
Hopefully EIG doesn't buy them, lol.
@@wplearninglab Thanks for your valuable and insight suggestion.
Check for FastComet, they are just as goos as Siteground and FastComet Hosting are more cost effective. The support is by chat and 24-7. Simply great!

thanks for excellent tutorial. i am in the backend of my hosting company and this is the error i see when i try to access wp. WARNING: IT APPEARS THAT WP IS NOT INSTALLED OR THAT THERE ARE FILES MISSING. any ideas, help? much appreciated.
Hi George,
If you're with a good host I would contact their support to see if they can help you find out what the problem is.
I show you how in this tutorial: m.ruclips.net/video/ZDBtdaY6VrQ/видео.html
Hopefully you are with a helpful host and you can skip all the manual work, that'll make things WAY we easier!
