    Great video. Like the commentary, reminds me of watching the astronauts do EV operations at the space station communicating what they are doing as they go. I have the same fridge so hope to get the defrost working with the help of this video.

    I have the same problem with my Frigidaire FRS23KF6CW1. I took the adaptive defrost unit out and open the enclosure to inspect the defrost control board. I saw a swollen capacitor and I replaced the capacitor. It works fine after that.

    I think element is good didnt test sensor as I need to cut the wires as they go to plug with other wires etc. I manually cycled frig by pushing frig light button 5 times I hear timer engage but element does not heat.. element has 29 ohms resistance

      I just did the trick you said. Clicked the light switch 5 times and heard the click. It must be the defrost thermostat correct?. It's 10$ so I'm going to change it and see.

      I don't think you can get them anymore - a saw that on a few appliance repair youtube channels
