  • What does the end of Shoftim have to do with the opening of Ki Teitzei? And what does war have to do with bread? And what kind of weapon is a tent peg?! As we consider these questions, we will also look at two interesting words that occur only twice in Bible. Oh, and what word does a scribe write in order to test a new pen? These little details are sure to add some "seasonings" to your Torah study.

Wonderful, as you talked about amalek and sharpening the quill, I thought exactly what you said next!

    Shalom Grant
The part about crossing out Amalek made me think of the Tav ( cross) that we should pick up daily as Yeshua taught us... crossing out our flesh daily. TAKING UP Yeshua the Torah made flesh...
    Toda! Lovely insights
    Rom 8 :7...
. 7 For the mind controlled by the old nature is hostile to God, because it does not submit itself to God’s Torah - indeed, it cannot. 8 Thus, those who identify with their old nature cannot please God.
9 But you, you do not identify with your old nature but with the Spirit - provided the Spirit of God is living inside you, for anyone who doesn’t have the Spirit of the Messiah doesn’t belong to him. 10 However, if the Messiah is in you, then, on the one hand, the body is dead because of sin; but, on the other hand, the Spirit is giving life because God considers you righteous. 11 And if the Spirit of the One who raised Yeshua from the dead is living in you, then the One who raised the Messiah Yeshua from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit living in you.

So good! So grateful for these little big insights. Humility as a weapon of warfare against the flesh. 39 stripes brings healing from disease. Thank you Yeshua 🌈
