Simplicity itself, like most of the best ideas 👍🏻
I shall adopt this one myself, nice one Rick👍🏻
@Mugwumps107 hey cheers thankyou 🙂👍. Definitely use it. Works really well
Brilliant. Thank you. Stay well and safe travels. All the best. 👍🐾🐾😎
Cheers Rob
What an idyllic location for One Man in a Boat with his Dog. As much as I welcome Spring with everything bursting into life and birdsong, I also love the silence of this time of year. I go out into my local ULU and can hear a pin drop a 100 yards away. Nice little useful skill to know is that Pot hanging loop and besides some Baling string and a couple of pieces of nylon Jungle string in my jacket pocket, you're bound to find a Toggle or two in there also.
Cheers Robert, I love the colder months too mate, definitely my favourite seasons. Also less people about which is a distinct advantage over here lol. You'll be alright over there, I bet its quieter. Hope you're all well Robert n the dogs are all good too mate and appreciate the comment as always 🙂🔥👍.
Cheers fella, Rick n Billydog
Thanks for another great video Rick. Billy must have more adventures than most 4 legged pals. Fab tips again. I love the fact you keep it simple and don't have to be a black belt in macrame to succeed. Fantastic. 👍🏼👍🏼
Cheers Mark, yeh he absolutely loves it and also has many an adventure with my son who works shifts when I'm at work. He's often in the mountains or the forests with him taking photos etc so he does alright 🙂🙂.
Cheers Mark 🙂👍

@@RickTOutdoorAdventure1969 welcome. I no what you mean, I sadly lost my 13 and half King Charles Cavalier 3 years ago snd he’s missed sorely by my side where every I go. They are incredibly therapeutic.
@RMinkjunkie1664 1664 yeh 100 % . I still miss my old dog. Rather have my fury companion in the bow of my boat than anyone else 🙂👍 apart from my kids ( n the Mrs if she reads this) 😆😆

Good to see your face Rick. Been a minute since I last saw you at Simons
Haha 😀 😄, cheers 😀👍
Class that Rickster, nice spot to do a bushcraft lesson mate. A good solid pot hang and tripod matey. Hope you had a top day pal, looks like you did 👍
Aye was mint Ants 👌. Gorgeous conditions. The fog was thick later on though. Couldn't see anything over the pass. Great little mission. If the fish had been biting it'd have been perfect 😀
Great stuff as always Rick....I use that tripod system regularly, top loop for me is a jam knot, holds a few litres without issue, maybe not up to the job with the big Dutchy though!
Haha those Dutchys can weigh a ton especially with full on Venison Stew bubbling away 😀😀.
Cheers James mate 👍👍
very cool pot hanging system, brilliant Rick. Glad I found your channel mate, good luck. Subscribed, keen to check your other uploads ✌🏻🇬🇧🇦🇺
Hey cheers , thankyou 🙂👍. Aye it works well, you can modify it too to be even more efficient and nice to use 👍.
Atb Rick n Billydog
Fantastic day out mate! I really enjoy these bushcraft adventures! The pot hanger is brilliant!
Hey cheers fella, thanks as always for joining me 🙂👍. Always great to see your comments 👍
Awesome advice as usual Rick👍 Looks simple enough but I bet it takes some fettling!?
Cheers Benny, yeh not too bad. You can even put multiple loops in it for different sized tripods 🙂 👍
well done rick, not been on youtube for a while, glad to see your channel is thriving nice one pal.
Cheers Bazza, I've been winding it down a bit to be fair 🙂🙂. Not sure whether to knock it on the head yet. See what my brain says soon lol 😆 😂. Love my adventures but filming can be a pain and sometimes gets in the way of the adventure . Found a lot of youtube to be 'Smoke n mirrors ' too , which pisses me off a bit lol 😆
Cheers Bazza
@@RickTOutdoorAdventure1969 yep that was the main reason i let my channel slide. to much hard work, getting in the way of enjoying life. iam just going to do one or two from now on. iam doing it more for my grandkids to see there grandad
@campervantics8305 Yeh good plan. I'm mainly doing trips and adventures now n probably film 1 every month or two 👍
I've used that method to make a tripod before, but it never occurred to me to add the loops and toggle, never too old to live and learn.
Works great Simon 🙂. Cheers fella, thanks for joining me and let me know if you ever fancy a float in thd Lake District. I had bloomin perfect conditions for this one 🙂👌👌
@@RickTOutdoorAdventure1969 Me and Ant have been talking about it, we'll have to sort something out, a few days would make the trip worth the while.
Nice video again Rick. Just how calm was the lake? I noticed your roll neck jumper. Wow that looks like a warm bit of kit.
Cheers Mike, aye its a crackin jumper. 100 % pure Welsh wool with the oils left in it to retain a level of moisture protection. Reinforced shoulders etc. It's a lifetime piece of clothing for sure 🙂👍.
Perfect for swimming Mike, I regretted not chucking in a towel 🙂.
Cheers fella
Nice give that go as well Rick great video, will subscribe just discovered new channel Mr Mark 👍
Hey cheers fella 🙂👍, great to have ya on board 🙂🙂
Brilliant video as usual, cheers mate 🚣🏻♀️🚣🏻♀️
Cheers Alan, thankyou 🙂👍
Hey yup Rick, I’ve asked a similar question in the past. Do you deliver a Bushcraft instructor course or can you recommend someone who does. There are many companies out there that I’ve looked at, but a recommendation is always better. Cheers Craig.
You know what Craig, I've never been on any course to do with survival or bushcraft and I've never watched anyone deliver any sessions or even been out practicing skills with a competent bushcrafter/Survivalist. All my skills are self taught and I design my own sessions that I deliver to groups.
The nearest I've got to sharing skills with professionals was on a weekend selection for that show 'Alone' where the people running it passed on the odd bit of info and I learned 1 skill lol. How to gut a trout without cutting it open and just using your finger 😄. Good little skill though if you want to stuff it with wild edibles, berries n herbs etc. ( I got on the show but was dropped a few weeks before because of a bloody medical issue ). That was a bit crap lol 😆.
So I don't know anyone really. I've been asked to work for a fella this year a bit doing survival skills but I ain't seen him in action yet, so I don't know how good he is. I keep meaning to set up a business on the side from my main work and see how it develops.
What sort of bushcraft skills are you looking at picking up ? Any specific ones
Cheers, Rick 👍
@@RickTOutdoorAdventure1969 I’ve recently left one job in the army but remain with a training delivery team with the royal engineers as well starting in a school as a school staff instructor working with cadets. As you can imagine with it been tied to and funded by the MOD everything needs a qualification. I’m a fair believer in life skills and this is what I want to start to deliver to my cadets. Which in turn I’m going to try and get it added into the syllabus.
Keep up the fantastic content Rick and Billy dog.
Craig
canoe is pretty cool too, what brand is it?
It's a Nova Craft 16' Prospector but it's had some hammer. I've repaired a hole in it and it's got plenty of wear and tear but I wouldn't swap it for anything. Ivd got a good mission in it next week which I might film 🙂👍
Cheers, atb Rick n Billydog
@@RickTOutdoorAdventure1969 cool, I'll have a look and see if I can track one down. Always wanted one. Will check the video out too, hope the trip goes well 👍🏼
