    I am so sorry you are struggling. You were beautiful then, and honestly you are even more beautiful now. (I am not saying your feelings aren't valid, because of course they are and no one has the right to make me feel differently) What I mean is that I have never seen someone fall more gracefully into any new challenging roll. You step up for every new challenge with a fierce "i've got this" smile on your face, and you conquer the new scary thing, and then you teach us how to conquer the thing. Thank you so much being not only a great role model but a beautiful one too. I am sorry you are struggling. I am praying for your health issues to figure themselves out, so that you can see the results of all your hard work and feel better about what you see in the mirror, but through my lens you are a beautiful, strong, honest, real, and fierce woman and mother- No matter what a stupid scale says..math and numbers are stupid anyways!!

    Weight loss and having a positive self image is a struggle. I think you are amazing for doing these vlogs and putting yourself out on the internet. That takes amazing self confidence. I hope keto works for you. I really think after kids and the older we get the more our bodies change and the more difficult it is to lose weight.

    Weight loss is truly hard. After having 2 kiddos in 2 years the only thing that works for me is literally tracking every single thing I eat, doing 30 minute strength training sessions 4-5x a week at home, as well as 4-5 30 minute Peloton rides at home. The high protein / lower sugar but not restricting whole food carbs is what has worked for me. Increasing muscle mass I find has helped tremendously ❤️ it is tough!!

    • @mattruley74
      @mattruley74 22 дня назад +1

      This. For the most part. Tracking is a mindfulness exercise. It's not about tracking, it's about knowing how the quality and quantity of food you put into your body impacts your health. For me, the biggest thing has been the shift in mindset. Food is fuel. It's not really supposed to be something that's enjoyed. Not that there's anything wrong with liking your food. But the food's purpose isn't supposed to be some bullshit "experience" or to be thrown all over IG like an OF thirst trap either.

    • @BethMorvant
      @BethMorvant 22 дня назад

      Same with me! I tend to overeat even when it’s healthy, so the weight doesn’t come off unless I track, even with how tedious it is.

      Oh man, I'm not sure if I have the mental compacity and time to weigh everything, with how many meals I make homemade, with watching a 1 year old. 😬 When I did weigh everything for awhile, it was really hard, and I still didn't lose anything eating at a deficit and making sure I got enough protein. I used to eat a large amount of calories with keto and still lose weight, so I'm not totally in agreeance with only calories/tracking being what matters
      I do need to start working out, and thought about getting my ymca membership back again since they do child care.

    Giving you huge hugs, friend!! I am so sad that you aren't happy with your body right now. I think we all struggle at different times of our lives with this, you are not alone!! For me, lower processed carbs definitely does help me to lose weight. I went from having at least 2-4 slices of bread every day and started using the egg life wraps and not eating bread and it really made a difference for me. You are doing what you can, friend. I am praying for you and for you to find what makes you feel good and healthy. ❤️

Im sure so many of your viewers can relate to it no matter what phase of life they are in. I am 49, I have 3 kids.. 2 in high school one in middle and I can completely relate to not being able to give myself that time that I once did.. to get ready, to eat right, to get put together. Because we truly do shift that focus to them. Whew. It’s worth it but it’s a really tough balance sometimes. Love your videos and am here to support. ❤

    Just yesterday I actually got diagnosed with PCOS! I also struggle to lose weight, and I have a lot of the other symptoms as well. Getting hormones tested and being in a calorie deficit has helped me overall! Burning at least 500-1000 more calories than what I'm eating, and I'm not starving all day. I'm currently on cycle day 108 and I'm so fed up with it! Sending you all the positive vibes ❤❤

    Priority is the word not willpower. I have no thyroid and when the dr messes up my meds I gain and can't lose weight. And when its right (meds) it takes forever to lose it. Even eating Keto/Carnivore. Also consistency is another. Also Never Give Up! I know how you feel but for me sugar and carbs is a life long no go there lol, Its hard especially pizza lol. You can do it Jacqueline! You are worth it! Sending prayers for your heart to know you are beautiful and perfect. We all are. God Bless. Huggies and kisses to Alice and Graham.

    This was me too! I will say this- calorie counting will work as long as you’re in a deficit. I found out I was estimating too much. When I started weighing my food in grams the pounds started coming off. I had to be brutally honest about the bites and how much I was really eating. Not saying you weren’t doing this- just sharing what I figured out. I went to a TDEE calculator on the internet and then went down a few hundred calories. Game changer.

      Yeah I did weigh my food for a bit so I could verify how much I was eating both calories and protein, but still, nothing lost and it's so time consuming to track the homemade meals I cook. I will say when I ate whole food keto, I could eat alot of calories and still lose weight without being in a deficit.

And like others have said, you are beautiful. Now as well as then. I have taken your situation one step further and had gained an additoinal 50 lbs and looked back at my 200 lb self and thought dang, I wasn't all that bad then. I started to practice being grateful to my body for getting me thru everything I had to do back then. I also had to go back low carb, because they are my drug when I'm stressed, or tired, or overwhelmed. You are doing such an inspiring job being home with Alice and all the things you still get done and go places that enrich her life. I'm so impressed with you. But I finally found what works for me and have been consistently losing weight. But it took me being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and then seeing a diabetes nutritionist before things clicked for me. I hope you find what works for YOU. Weight loss is definitely a struggle. It’s all about portion, believe me. I did WW for about a half year and lost 34 pounds. It really works but the constant weighing and measuring gets annoying. You get to the point where it’s like “ I just wanna eat something without measuring it!” Maybe get checked out, it could be hormones or maybe even your thyroid. Hang in there, you’ll see results when you find what works for you.

There was trial and error in the month of January, February, and March, and finally started seeing the results (not weight wise, but emotionally) on how I felt. Aww I feel you. Weight lifting, and macro diet is the way to go you can eat carbs, protein & fat but the tracking of macros via my fitness pal helps immensly. It worked for me. There are are tonne of videos on you tube. Perhaps get a coach with co poilet Xxx. I feel keto calorie counting, trend diets are all temporary then you just regain all weight back and then some. Macros is the most sustainable way to go without restricting and weight lifting strength 😊workouts (Heather Robertson has some great programs avoid HIIT concentrate on her strength training programs on you tube). Jenn pike might be able to help with hormonal health (she has a you tube channel perhaps check out a couple of her videos). Xxx all the best. Please do try this for 6months you wont be disappointed.

    I'm 10 months postpartum and while I'm not struggling with weight gain, I still struggle with other body image stuff. After breastfeeding I have like no boobs left. They're just gone and didn't even say goodbye 😂
    My belly is different now. Its soft and doughy. And I swear my skin is different too. My pores are bigger or something 🤷‍♀️.

    You talk about balance, but I truly don’t think balance is for everyone. I can take one day “off” and eat whatever I want and gain six pounds overnight. Then it takes almost a month to shed what I gained in the one day. It truly truly sucks, especially now that we’re in our 30s. We’re not built like we used to be.

    Wow girl can i relate!! (With and without the baby weight parts). That's exactly how i was feeling about myself when i found Fast. Feast Repeat. I know you don't why to fast and i understand totally. It babystepped me into low carb which then until April i went keto (20 total... not net carbs). Then midApril i went ketovore. I kept in cheese and cream. I got tired of meat until i watched videos where Laura Spath kept it very liveable and suggested serving different meats in the same meal and that was the key for me...or meat and eggs.
    My mom was in the hospital a few weeks back for 2 weeks so i went to stay with her. My goal was 100% carnivore, no cheese, cream or coffee. I dropped 4# while gone in 2 weeks.
    I think you definitely need some type of hormone testing. One of the biggies i learned abt while researching is Fasting Insulin test. You want lower than a 5..or 7. I can't remember. I haven't tested mine since almost 2 months ketovore but it's a 7.3 now. I pay for my labs through Ownyourlabs.
    I think you did carnivore one time?

      I definitely had to change my thought patterns on food. No "whoa is me I can't eat xyz". I forgot who I heard say this but I had to think of it as THIS is how I eat now because that's just the way I need it to be to be healthy and stabilize my hormones (all of them...ghrelin, insulin, plus female hormones). I keep reading that fat is the equalizer for hormones. And it takes time....I want to be the healthiest old lady (😅) I can be and if I eat enough fatty meats and eggs, and be patient, it's working (I am post menopausal and started bio identical hormones too so its been a great combo for me feeling like myself again.)
      I follow Dr Ken Berry and his wife Neisha too and he says you have to have a healthy dose of Vitamin P...patience. 😅 I'm the worst at that, but before I know it, another month has gone by. It's been fun to track my bloodwork for fasting insulin and a1C too to watch those numbers get lower. I know I'm getting healthier the lower those get and the menopausal belly is leaving.

    They’re so convenient and customizable and you’re getting such power packed ingredients.
    That said, I never noticed you had gained weight. I don’t care about what you look like. I’ve always thought you were beautiful and I just… I’m here for YOU and hearing about your life and day to day. It’s so weird to care so much about internet strangers, but you’re like a friend to us.
